Anyone else game take time sometimes starting up when left on standby

Are you supposed to really save the game and then exit when you finish and does it do any harm just closing the laptop lid?

Reason I ask is I have noticed sometimes when I first try going back into the game when I had just closed the lid the night before it is really laggy and slow to begin with,,almost as if it has to warm up before getting back to normal. Only lasts a min or so tho.

Today when I did it the match engine was even frozen for a few seconds before it caught up. I am running a fairly powerful Alienware laptop with quad core i7 and gtx460m card so I dont think its the hardware,, although its been awhile since I opened it all up and gave it a good clean out,, so perhaps the card is overheating but wouldn't have thought it do that when its been off first.

I remember there was a previous version of FM that had some memory leak issue's. Anyone else experience this at all ?
