phd_angel Posted November 22, 2014 Share Posted November 22, 2014 When goals are scored I see this "he clearly feels it was offside" for many years (since FM09...), even when there are not one or two, but often three or four defenders in between the ball and the goalie. XaW Posted November 22, 2014 Share Posted November 22, 2014 Haven't you seen this happen in real football as well? I've seen it plenty of times, even when the attacker was onside by a mile. Defenders use every tool in the book to influence the refs, you know. I'm more irritated by the times my defenders DON'T do this when the attacker is clearly offside! phd_angel Posted November 22, 2014 Author Share Posted November 22, 2014 Comparing FM to real football is not always productive, because many real things in football don't take place in FM (such as, physical altercations, handball, fan/animal invasions, etc.). I obviously see real footballers complaining about offside, but not as often and at the level I see on FM. It's an unnecessary "realism" that is not actually that real in real football...
