Indiana Jones
two things really, 1. is it possible to persuade a player NOT to 'leave on a free transfer' at the end of their contract when you first take over managing a club? 2. is there an option to sign a player from an opposing team who is 'leaving on a free transfer' at the start of the game on a pre-contract basis? thanks. Indiana Jones
surely you should be able to do both IRL??
Administrators Neil Brock Posted October 24, 2014 Administrators Share Posted October 24, 2014 The first one I believe you can if you improve the club enough that they don't want to leave. The second you cannot approach a player until he's in the last six months of his contract (or one month if they're in the same country as your club), so no, you can't pre-agree. Indiana Jones
ok cheers Neil. thanks for that. but can you answer as to why you can approach to sign some players who's contract ends in 6 months and not others? always baffled me that one. prime example, new beta game, pierre bengtsson yes offer, yet, Fabio santos no? yet their contracts end at the same time. it happens a lot that. not just in FM15. gunner86
If they're in the same country as you you have to wait until they're in the last month of their contract.
Torwin
If they're in the same country as you you have to wait until they're in the last month of their contract. Why is it so? Did for example Bayern not secure Lewandowski's signature half a year before his Dortmund contract ran out?
gunner86
I'm not sure, I think (and this is just a guess) that the rule only applies in certain countries. I know for a fact it applies in England though.
