[14.3.1] ws-countermatic tactic + ws-451a (home) tactic

Hello,

I'm currently managing TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. I have only 2 new transfers (one of them by my head of youth development):

My main tactic is a counter system with defensive mentality. It's defensive but my team is top goalscorer in the league after 14 games (27 goals). My second tactic is a control system with attacking mentality. I'm using it only against weaker opponents in home matches.

Pre-season is very important for me (both training and friendly matches). I always arrange lots of friendly matches and I watch them in comprehensive mode. But I did a mistake this time. I used my main tactic only 2 times in 11 friendly matches. Thats why tactic familiarity wasn't good enough at the season start. But I kept morale high (results help for it too) and my team made a great start.

MAIN TACTIC - WS-CountermatiC

Formation is like Chelsea's 2013/14 formation in real life. 4 defenders, 2 defensive midfielders, 2 wide midfielders, 1 attacking midfielder and 1 forward.

SECOND TACTIC - WS-451A

Classic 4-5-1 formation. 4 defenders, 1 defensive midfielder, 2 central midfielders, 2 wingers and 1 forward.

RESULTS

Here are the results after 16 games.

LEAGUE TABLE

Details:

We didn't score any set-piece goal / We conceded 5 set-piece goal (3 from corners and 2 from free-kicks)

We are the top goalscorer team in the league (with Bayern)

We scored 15 out of 16 matches. Only game that we couldn't score was against Stuttgart (away) which our player sent off at 27th min.

I started Werder Bremen, Schalke, Aalen, Nürnberg and Augsburg matches with WS-451A tactic. On 2nd half of Werder Bremen and Nürnberg matches and last minutes of Aalen match I switched to WS-CountermatiC tactic.

We were very very unlucky in some matches:

We conceded a free-kick goal at 90th minute at Hannover match and its finished 1-1.

We conceded a free-kick goal and an own goal at Schalke match and we lost it 1-2 (their clear cut chances and half chances was 0)

Our player sent off at 27th minute at Stuttgart match and we lost it 0-2.

We dominated on Braunschweig match and on the last 5 minutes we were leading 2-0. Than we conceded 2 goals and its finished 2-2.

My defender gifted 2nd goal, after that we conceded an own goal at 90+3 minute on Leverkusen match and we lost it 2-3.

Required Players for WS-CountermatiC tactic:

Goalkeeper has given "distribute to defenders" instruction. So he should have good "throwing" attribute.

Most of teams have fast and technique wingers. To stop them you should use fast and good defender full backs.

Ball Playing Defender with cover duty should have good passing and anticipation attributes. But more important thing is using strong central defenders.

Regista, Wide midfielders, Enganche and Forward should be creative players (it's important because we are using Very Rigid philosophy). Better if they are fast too, especially Wide Midfielder Right.

Opponent Instructions:

Use "hard tackling" for wingers. You can use "show onto weaker foot" instruction too (for any opponent player). But don't use tight marking or closing down instructions.

Frankfurt: started with WS-CountermatiC, switched to WS-451A at 20th minute then switched back to WS-CountermatiC in last 10 minutes.

It could be better if we had some luck, but still great. Top goalscorer team in the league, just behind league leader (1 to 6 points), better performance than superb team Dortmund...
