delra
It's actually easier to win playing defensive or counter than playing attacking or control.
aderow
It's actually easier to win playing defensive or counter than playing attacking or control. Especially when you become a higher reputed side because teams will sit deep and give you no space if you are playing aggressive.
jujigatame
Almost certainly. I think you'll notice most people who are overachieving on FM14 are using defensive/counter-based tactics.
amirko
Of course. I tried Simeone tactic (atletico madrid) and won title with Inter in serie A. I started every match with 442 defensive tactic but sometimes when I was losing in last 15 min I changed to attacking. That happened 4 times in whole league (I mean switching in last 15 min). One thing if you are playing defensive mentality that does not mean that your roles have to be defensive. So Attacking roles and defensive mentality gave very good results. llama3
Defensive mentalities are more cautious, this can be excellent for counter attacking, or possession based tactics.
