André Santos
Good afternoon, Meanwhile I was playing Football Manager 2013, a doubt had come up. I got 4,247,793€ (euros) of salary budget to pay to the players. And I am just using 309,981€. My question is, I 've made a proposal to a player, and in the contract he demand 120,000€ (120 thousand euros) for week, and I just can make an offer of 81,000. If I've got 4,247,793€, why can't I make a better proposal to a player? The finances of the Club are all good, the staff team doesn't receive a huge salary. The medium salary of the staff is 2,000€. I'll be waiting for an answer. Thank you ! ps: I'm going put down here a couple of links that have images to give u more informations. Cougar2010
If you signed that player on those wages you would creating a new wage structure at the club which would result in other players brought into the club and current players wanting a contract with higher wages. So given your budget available the board limit the maximum you can pay for each squad status.
André Santos
What wages? for example, If I propose a contract to Cristiano Ronaldo, and because he is old and always injuried, the club accept my offer, and than he demand 150,000 thousand euros for week (in the contract). I just can offer 81,000 thousand.. I still can't understand that..

Your board will not allow you to blow the rest of your wage budget on one player.

With the rest of your squad on a higher wage it would put you over your overall budget.
André Santos
Ok, so there's nothing that I can do?

Wonky
U know what can I do to increase the salary? You can request an increased wage budget, but that's unlikely to be given if you have a decent amount spare anyway. Ultimately, it's a long term thing.
