shaunwwfc
How exactly do they work in FM14? In previous FMs, I quite liked the idea of a DW, however even on attack I found them to be too unorthodox. I didn't like the way they were set to hold the ball up and this would often abandon quick counter attacking transitions, which I am very opposed to. With the introduction of WTM in FM14 does this now free up the way a DW performs? Is a DW more likely to bomb down the wing and whip crosses in (something they seemed reluctant to do in 13) but of course track back as it's role instruction? I would be really interested to hear peoples views on a DW and there use of them in 14.
Cleon
A DW is basically a reverse wingback. They don't really bomb down the wing and whip crosses in, that would be a winger or wide midfielder. Instead they offer more protection down the flanks and work hard at tracking people and winning the ball back. It's quite a cautious role really. If you want what you describe then use a WM instead.
