Don't you normally get asked how often you want it when you first take charge of a club, mine is currently set at every two weeks and I'd prefer it monthly or maybe even every three months. Best balance of being annoying and useful, though it's rarely useful. its annoying because I don't want to use it but I know there might be some useful stuff as you say, the potential players to scout can be useful but the training stuff and the player status changes annoy the hell out of me!
