How to keep smaller nations international players regenerating?

Sorry if the title is hard to understand, it makes sense in my head, basically I want to do an international manager career, and usually you just get the same big nations when you select the national teams to manage. I know this can be solved by going to settings when starting a new save and adding current international players from every continent but that's only the current ones, when the current batch of international players retire will the regens fill up the place? Or will I only be able to manage the bigger nations say 15-20 years into the save?

Either installing staff from that country into clubs at bigger nations (less effective) or loading a custom db with leagues from that country would work (more effective).

I had this problem with Chile in my first few seasons, I ended up adding the Chilean leagues and that gave me a fair few regens. Good luck

I'm quite sure the amount of newgens for manageable international sides is now adequate to keep a reasonable degree of realism...

Anyway, if you plan to manage a national side for a long time, it makes sense activating the league (if available). I would make it playable but on zero-detail. It'd be the best compromise between "accuracy" (and players' development) and processing time.

They have to be playable otherwise they will just play with grey players.

Couldn't you add players by nation when you pick leagues at the start.
