wazza
Managing Larne in Belfast Telegraph C1 and my players are all non contract - there is an option under transfer to offer to agents. A box comes up and states 'do you want to offer partial ownership to various agents?' The other boxes asking '% of ownership' and 'asking price'. Can anyone please explain what this means to the player and my club if I go ahead and offer to agents. Is it best that the player has an agent, is it best on a lower percentange, what does the asking price mean? I always thought it was a player who approached an agent not a club. oneronaldo
It basically means you're giving up part of the ownership rights of the player to the agent. I don't know about the league rules in Ireland, but pretty sure this is illegal in England as third-party ownership is outlawed. If you check the Portuguese or South American(particularly Brazil) leagues, you'll realise alot of players are part-owned by agents.
