morenoking
So with PSG, why are the four Brazilians counted as the foreign players (Alex, Thiago Silva, Lucas Moura, Marquinhos), yet three other players from South America (Lavezzi, Pastore, Cavani) are not. Could someone please explain this rule to me further, thank you in advance.

ljwjones
The rule is basically you are allowed 4 'foreign' players in your squad. To class as a foreign player your nationality has to be from outside of the EU. However the rules are slightly more complex. Some nationals are treated as if in the EU when they are not. These include "All cotonou nations", Uzbekistan, krygyzstan, and nations in oceania, croatia, all nations in africa. There are some exceptions to these rules, notably New Zealand, Egypt and Libya. If you sign any player who doesn't meet this rule then they count as foreign. After 5 years at the team said player can apply for french nationality, upon being accepted as a french national they lose their foreign player status and free up a space for another foreign player. hope this helps, any questions just ask. Oh also this info can be found in the game, on the rules section(I think it is) for Ligue
jcoll
Cavani, Pastore and Lavezzi probably all have Italian as their second nationality.
