FM14: Leandro Damiao

Just quickly, thanks to samdiatmh for uploading the screenshots!

Hi there, has anybody noticed that you can buy Leandro Damiao for just 3.8 mil! Started a Spurs career and snared Honda on a free and Damiao for 3.8, that's easily an attack force worth over 30 mil!

Didnt he get a significant decrease from last years game?

West Brom bought him on my save and he absolutely tore up the Premier League before he got sold to Real Madrid for £20,000,000 or so.

he may have been nerfed since FM09/10 (can't remember) where he was beastly

but is still a solid striker to a top side, available for under 10m (I didn't have anything under 9m accepted, but others have had 4m accepted, depends on your save)

may take a little while to settle in (given that he can't speak English) and unsure about the WP eligibilty (he turned me down to sign with Barca on my save)

call ups for Brazil seem to be more sparse, so you probably don't have to worry about him getting injured on international duty

to me, he seems like an ideal TargetMan/AdvancedForward, but like I said above, I never got the chance to sign him

You can't use the upload function on the forum itself.. you need to upload an image to an image upload host such as imgur or imageshack etc and then paste the link here within tags.

His attribute is significantly lower than last year, when he was a monster striker. But he's a good buy for the price, just don't expect him to score 25+ goals like last year!

On FM12/13 Damiao was the BEAST of all Brazillian strikers, definitely not as good as before but still a solid player.

Still a massive bargain for the start of the game and he grows into the Damiao we all know and love.

He is injury prone often injured but definitely a solid attacker

Definitely been nerfed since last yrs game and rightly so. He was vastly overrated. Still, for £8m I'd still buy him as he is.

Bough him in first season for my Stoke City save. has been teribble and will be leaving in jan transfer window. Playing him as AF with playmaker behind him or as Cfs in a 433 with DM.

Anyone had any luck with him? Been useless for me at Ajax and considering selling him.
