Half-time teamtalk hairdryer strategy pointless?

anytime i was losing, or drawing with minnows, and i used "show me sth else" or other talks about how pissed i am on my team, it never helps. Im not saying it should always help and make my team do better, but from time to time it should work. doesnt matter whether i say it assertively, aggresively, cautiously, they are always fired up or motivated, but in 2nd half they are not playing better, sometimes they play even worse. On the contrary, if im losing, and i say to them "we can still win this", they tend to do better... i noticed this already on FM13 as well.

Anyone else have similar issue? or maybe for someone hairdryer actually works?

I found that the hairdrier treatment always worked on FM13, it never failed, but agree that on 14 it seems to have no effect either way whatsoever

Works almost too well in my experience.

Works fine for me a large bulk of the time.

I find it works quite often. I suppose it depends on your players personalities doesn't it? If you have a determined squad it will work more often. Most memorabley for me it worked when i was 3-0 down at Spurs (i'm Liverpool) and i won 5-4. A time where it didn't work though was when i was 4-0 down away to united at half time and went on to lose 7-0 (didn't play the game for a few days after that, it was heartbreaking)

Im having the same experience. Worked well in Fm13.
