    Champions League Qualification Second Round

    First Leg

With Steaua, Beskitas, Slavia Prague, Rosenborg, Shakhtar and Rangers were all involved in the second round of the champions league qualification. There were solid performances by Horse Lover and Jose Blanco for Steaua and Rangers respectively, as both players were on the winning side for their teams and each scoring a goal. Pablo Gonzalez and Taran Davies both also scored goals in wins for their teams but both lose points as they received a yellow card each. Mark Lehnsherr was involved in a defeat for Beskitas and failed to find the net as well so only picks up points for the appearance. The player of the day though had to be Pitesh Mistry who not only scored twice but was also named Man of the Match in a win for Shakhtar.

    Second leg

All of our teams were in good positions going into the second leg apart from Besiktas who lost their first match and need a good result today. Fortunatley they did winning by a goal to nil meaning they go through on away goals. This goal wasn't scored by Mark Lehnsherr but gets the team win and appearance points. Taran Davies' Rosenborg drew 0-0 to secure their place in the next round, with Slavia Prague winning again as Pablo Gonzalez scored. It was a good day for Jose Blanco however as he hit 2 goals and got the Man of the Match award as Rangers go through. But it was even better for Horse Lover and Pitesh Mistry as both struck hat-tricks for their respective clubs as Steaua and Shakhtar both go through

    Champions League Qualification Third Round

    Leg 1

With 18 teams in action in the third qualification round there were chances for players to pick up good early points. We start at the top with Werder Bremen picking up a win away from home in the first leg with Come Together scoring the goal. Arsenal beat Beitar Jerusalem with Pelinho scoring a goal and picking up the Man of the Match. Benfica played Rosenborg with two of our players coming head-to-head, but it was The Stig's side that won the match with himself scoring the two goals and getting the MOM award, with Taran Davies only picking up appearance points. Celtic win 3-1 although Sigurd Drakedreper failed to score. Lazio and Liverpool both managed big wins against small opposition. Both Browser Two and Paul Conroy scored but the latter picked up a yellow card. Jose Blanco continued his good start with another goal for Rangers and the MOM award as they won 2-1. David Rosing-Schow played as Dinamo Kiev lost and he himself failed to find the net. Besiktas got a good away win on their first leg although Mark Lehnsherr couldn't score. Sevilla won 2-0 although Aleksandrs Cauna failed to make a big impression. Shakhtar beat Fenerbahce by a goal to nil with Pitesh Mistry scoring it although Fenerbahce were without Tomaldinho who is injured. Steaua beat Slavia Prague away from home with Horse Lover scoring twice and picking up the MOM award. Pablo Gonzalez had a good game for Slavia Prague but couldn't score. Aspen Bizarresden was the star of the day however with a hattrick for Valencia and ultimatley the MOM award.

    Leg 2 - Tuesday

    Leg 2 - Wednesday

In the second leg Sevilla played on the Tuesday and despite losing went through on away goals. Aleksandrs Cauna scored but got booked. Arsenal booked their place in the final with a 2-2 draw against Beitar Jerusalem with Pelinho scoring and getting the MOM award. Besiktas won 3-0 with Mark Lehnsherr finally getting his first goal from the penalty spot. Sigurd Drakedreper failed to score in Celtic's win but did get the MOM award. David Rosing-Schow scored for Dynamo Kiev but couldn't prevent his team from going out of the champions league. Jose Blanco played well again for Rangers hitting another goal as his team go through. Tomaldinho is still injured so could not help Fenebahce as were beaten by Shakhtar on aggresate and another goal and MOM performance by Pitesh Mistry. Liverpool were beaten on the night but go through on aggregate so only appearnance points for Paul Conroy. Taran Davies played well again for Rosenborg but could not score as his team go out the Champions League to Benfica with The Stig getting the MOM award even without scoring. Steaua knock Slavia Prague out of the competition with Horse Lover scoring. Pablo Gonzalez had another good game but couldn't score as his team went out. Browser Two hit two goals and the MOM award as Lazio storm through. Come Together played in Werder Bremen's match although failed to hit the net. Aspen Bizarresden couldn't score today after the hattrick in the last game but he played well as Valencia win

    Internationals

Loic Philippens played in a 1-0 defeat to Serbia for Belguim and Pelinho played for Andorra in a 2-0 defeat to Estonia but Alfonso de Silva Santos did not play in this match as he is injured

Celtic win 5-1 overall and super-striker Sigurd fail to score even once... Must have played very good in the second match to get a MoM without scoring though. I would guess that he had 3-4 of the assists overall.

I wasn't too confident that CSKA would get past the group stages but I think there's a definite chance of second with Ajax and Olympiakos, don't stand much chance of beating Liverpool though so 2nd/3rd is the best I can hope for I recon.

Olympiakos was the one team in the group I thought we could actually beat

On the plus side 'pool and Ajax only drew so CSKA are only 1 point behind after the first game

Come Together scored a goal and made an appearance? Isn't that 15 points? I want to be tied with 4th place hehe.

Otherwise, good job with the updates. ))

Sorry made a bit a mistake with the International points Pablo Gonzalez should have no INT points and you should have 15. Pelinho should have 10, Aspen Bizarresden should have 5 and David Rosing-Schow should have 15, very sorry about this

Champions League Group Stage Matchday 2

    Tuesday Results

    Tuesday Tables

So we start matchday 2 with a big win for Lazio against Sparta Prague. Browser Two couldn't score however. Gane had a poor game in Porto's defeat to Real Madrid and got a yellow card, Alfonso de Silva Santos however scored twice for Madrid. Arsenal beat Steaua by a goal to nil but Pelinho was taken off before the end without scoring and Horse Lover the Steaua captain didn't score either. Aleksandrs Cauna got the only goal of the game as Sevilla beat Shakhtar. Pitesh Mistry was left out of the Shakhtar side so he picks up no points. Sigurd Drakedreper was suspended for Celtic's 5-0 win over Red Star. Jack Sheppard scored for Milan in his first appearance and got the MOM in Milan's win over Lyon. Nelson San Martin couldn't help the defeat even though he had a solid performance. Chelsea beat Anderlecht with Ricky Nakano scoring for Chelsea. PSV drew 1-1 with Werder Bremen although neither Tomas Newton or Come Together could score for their respective sides.

    Wednesday Results

    Wednesday Tables

The Stig scored the only goal of the game as Benfica beat Schalke. Matthew Hunt had a poor game and couldn't help Schalke avoid this defeat. Brendan Petersen also hit the only goal of the game as Barcelona were winners over Rangers. Jose Blanco played well but couldn't help the scoreline. Besiktas drew with Roma with neither Mark Lehnsherr or Matt Frith scoring for their teams. Man Utd and Stuttgart drew 0-0 with Jose Fatskinho picking up a yellow card. JJ Fernie didn't have a great game for Stuttgart. Inter and Marseille drew 1-1 with Arthur White playing well but could not score. Haowan scored for Marseille but picked up a yellow card. Sporting CP got a great win over Valencia with Mr Hairy Foot scoring for the home side but he also got sent off. Aspen Bizarresden didn't score for Valencia but played well. CSKA Moscow got beaten by Ajax but Loic Philippens had a solid game although did not score. Liverpool beat Olympiakos although it wasn't all good news as Paul Conroy picked up an injury and will be out for three weeks. The Man had a pretty good game but was still on the losing side.

UEFA Cup First Round Second Leg

    Results

Dynamo Kiev booked their place in the Group stages with a 3-1 win over Toulouse. David Rosing-Schow hit a goal for Kiev. Slavia Prague only drew but had a good enough result from the home leg to get them through. Pablo Gonzalez played but didn't score. Tomaldinho scored for Fenerbahce as they went through past Standard Liege. But we have our first team to go out of Europe. Rosenborg were beaten on away goals by Aris. Taran Davies did score but will now have to rely on his international performances to get him points.
