    Some notable clubs

Corinthians/Sao Paulo - two non European teams in the top flight.
Chivas - highest non euro/south American team in division 3
New York/Galaxy - two American teams just make the cut for the big ten.
Rangers - a reprieve from small time Scotland but still three promotions from Celtic. Just scraped into the big ten in last place.
Leeds - the lowest ranked Playable English side down in the twelfth tier
ES Tunis - The best rated African side with a great chance of promotion to the big ten.
Real Espana - The lowest rep manageable team hails from Honduras
Waterhouse - the lowest rep team in the unplayable 13th teir hails from Jamaica

How does this work for newly generated players?

For example, if I manage, say, Santos, will my newgen players still mostly come from Brazil, or have you changed the location of the clubs by creating this new league?

Also, do the winners of this league participate in any of the continental competitions i.e. Champions League, or have you isolated this league?

Is there a cup competition in this new world league?

What is the prize money for winning different tiers and what are TV rights like?

Really just curious as to long-term sustainability? If it is, I might have a go at this

This looks great. Gonna give it a go. Thanks for all the hard work.

For what its worth, I noticed some of the prize money in one of the cup rounds (can't remember which) hadn't been added. Might have been the ICC. Sorry for being vague.

the game is loaded with shed loads of prize money and tv money right throughout all the tiers although it seems ive missed some on the ICC. Ive done this to try and make it as even of a playing field as possible so as not to isolate the top division with shed loads of money.

The league is isolated but there is three cups that come with it. The World Club Cup is a champions league replacement and the ICC is the EURO Cup replacement with the VB cup the FA cup equivalent

All regens will mainly be from the clubs correct league as i changed the based nation back to their correct nation after adding them to the leagues.

Thanks VB. Looking forward to this. I think I'll try it with my own team, Sunderland, once I'm done with my current Barca save.

Last game I bought before FM13 was FM11, I played as Sunderland until 2045, overdid it just a bit...

ive set regional boundaries but there is some minor overlap. They should really go into the right division but there is no guarantee that the 6 teams relegated will fit 1 into each sub division. Therefore there may be some that fall into the wrong division

I have a spread sheet sorted for right down to a 21st tier. I'm not so sure many machines will run 76 divisions

    WARNING

It looks like there's no league sorting rules set up for any of the 12 divisions. I've just added them to my game. Unfortunately I only spotted it when I'd played all my friendlies and 3 cup games

Yeah I updated that last night so if you redownload that will be fixed

I was silly assuming the default would be goal difference, goals scored.

I've completed my extension to 18 tiers. But I'm having trouble with correct seeding for the main cup that all.teams are in. I have super league teams entering the first quali round of 200 teams out of the total of 900 in my edit, weird.
Many thanks for the base structure mate!

    Hey VB,

Have you changed things like award names etc to reflect your new leagues. I created my own world league on FM2012 and changed all these along with league reputations, etc. i might download this and have a go.

    Cheers

it wont let me select save as. no option to, how do I get it then ?

EDIT:- Ok silly me, saved it to my desktop and now just transferred it to the right place (hopefully)

All good so far, selected England with large database. 14,000 players available. Just setting it up now. I always get bored with FM after 3-4 seasons and tend to want to move to another big club but after 1-2 seasons there, I always tend to go back to my original club but then again after1 season back again, I get bored again!

if this works, it should create the way I want it and hopefully wont get bored.

Throughout the thread, VB it says that you've changed things (like squad size, etc). Your first post says updated 12-01. Are those changes reflected in the file if d/l currently?

How many seasons into the game have you tested this? Any issues over club reputation or player values dropping significantly? What league reputations have you set?

Do continental competitions like the Champions League still take place and do the top 4 teams qualify for it?

    I tested three years.

    There is no champions league.

The league reputations are all pretty high with div ten having a reputation similar to Serie A. This was done to prevent the teams in that division losing all their star players immediately. As the game progresses league reps will change as will teams reps to match the divisions. It will take a while but eventually all the teams in the Concacaf tier 11s reps should be similar to the Uefa sections.

    I have found a quick-fix.
Go to Division 11 and Division 12 (the only ones having sub-divisions), go to the sub-divisions 1 by 1 and set division for promotion and relegation to none. (division for promotion only for Div 12) and de-selct the number of promoted and relegated teams. (only in the sub-divisions, not in their parent divisions)

Bumping this thread for anyone still interested because I think it's a great setup. I believe I've found the solution to the problem caused by the last data update. I'm currently just starting a new game so I haven't played through it at all yet but the nation rules tested valid and I haven't gotten any error messages so I think it's fixed and playable now.

    Fixing it is pretty straightforward:
    1) Download the .xml file from the first post
    2) Open it in the editor. Click on 'Nation Rules-England' and on the left menu bar you should see a 'Divisions' subfolder, open that.

The problem seems to be that the promotion/relegation rules for Divisions 11/12 got screwed up and need fixed. Let's start with the Parent divisions.

    3) We're only interested in ISL Division 11 and 12. Expand Division 11 and go to the General page, look for 'Number of Promotion Places' and 'Number of Relegation places.' My number of relegation places was set to 12 for some reason. Set it to 0--the actual relegation places will be accounted for in the subdivisons later.
    4) Do the same thing for ISL Division 12.
    5) Make sure on both divisions that the 'Contains Subdivisions' box is checked. Mine was checked already, but just make sure.

Now let's move to the subdivisions and fix them. It's actually only the subdivisions in ISL Division 11 that were broken for me.

    6) Go back to ISL Division 11 and expand it again. Click on the Subdivisions box and expand it. You should see the six regional divisions. These subdivisions are all missing their promotion division, so FM doesn't know where to send the promoted teams. We need to tell it to send them to Division 10.
    7) Click on the first one, the ISL Division 11 Regional AFC. For this first one you'll have to do an extra step, the rest are easier. Click the right dropdown arrow to the far right in the empty 'Division for Promoted Teams' entry. Hit search and type in 'ISL Division 10.' Hit enter and it should pop up, click on it. ISL Division 10 should now be entered into the 'Division for Promoted Teams' area.
    8) Move onto the next subdivision, CAF. This time when you hit the right dropdown arrow ISL Division 10 should already be in there as a previously selected option. Click on it and fill in the entry.
    9) Do the same for the other 4 subdivisions.
    10) Make sure all the subdivisions have 1 promotion place and 2 relegation places.

Test your nation rules at this point, they should work. I'm happy to upload my edited .xml but I don't want to do it without VB's okay since it's his file originally.

    Good luck!

FC Bayern was also missing it's reserve league, having U23 selected instead. Since it looks like the author has abandoned this for now, here's a fixed playoff version that has the fix efrumttr posted above, as well as the youth training fix and Bayern fix.

I don't know if anyone can help me with a problem I am dealing with regarding the Reserves League because I can't have my Juventus Reserve team to play in such league in fact isn't there at all. So, does anyone know how can I modify the file in my editor so my Juve Reserve can play in the above mentioned league? How can I do that an if it could be done? Thanks :-)

Check Juventus in the editor, with this db enabled of course, and see if they have a U23 team or a reserves team selected, I had the same problem as you with Bayern and it was because they had a U23 team instead of a reserves team.

VB, have you abandoned this awesome project?

Would be great to get this compatible with the latest patch as it is a tremendous db. Also there are some minor problems that need to be fixed, such as all clubs not having active reserve teams for example.
