    Wink

I've just started an FM11 game and have 2 funny screenshots already! I have another where a player "wants to leave club" and also "doesn't want to leave club" but that's not very original like these...

One, for the genius name of this guy
    http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/870/troystory.png

I'm waiting for his twins to come through the ranks - Troy Story 2 and Troy Story 3: 3D!

Also, check this out... strange praise indeed, I'm guessing he was being a sarcastic git!

So, after three successful years in England, featuring consecutive promotions from the BSN to League One with AFC Telford, I'm offered the Central Coast Mariners job in Australia. After some deliberation, I decide that I'll take the job, looking forward to the more favourable pitch and weather conditions, where I can really utilise some of my more expressive tactical options. So, expecting nice warm temperatures, imagine my surprise when I encounter this...

...damn me for forgetting to bring my sheepskin coat with me from England.

I believe it snowed very briefly one evening once, back in 2008.

I thought you were referring to him having an English name. I am waaaaaaaaaaay too young to know about 1966 and plus I am Australian so I doubt very many people would have seen that game in Australia.

Nearly all my players are on international duty and I have to play Inter away. I have 7 players from my 1st team and my decent reserves to choose from. I feel a defeat coming...

Well, I'm playing 3 games in 3 days (or 4 in 5 days).
I think it is funny that the FA thinks my players are supermen to be able to manage playing all the games, not to mention that I had to keep giving press conference for the match after the next match..

But I guess you already know all that and just have a different sense of humor

    ...EVER!

The only place I've ever heard of it snowing in the entire state is in the Adelaide Hills for about 15 minutes... and that was more slush than snow!

Dave Greenwood is my awesome regen striker. Jason Steele is my less awesome goalkeeper.

My conclusion? Steele had ú50 on the draw, but Greenwood had 100 quid on the win.

Maybe it's not funny. But i laughed so much. My three players sent off. And i don't know why. It was awesome match.

    last minutes:

    ---------------turgay-------------
    volkan--------------------sercan
    -------------torbinsky-------------
    -------------------------------------
    ---caldirola-stepanov-bekir--
    -------------------------------------
    --------mehmet ali (gk)------

    and, in my other game:

What a way to end my 16 game undefeated run, by conceding a goal to a player called Everton.

'Sithole' is a somewhat common Portuguese surname, and there are a few African nations with Portuguese as their first language, so it only stands to reason that you'd get some odd sounding names out of them (Innocent, Doctor, etc.)

It seems to be a South African/Zimbabwean thing (search the name on Wikipedia) and I'm yet to see any Mozambicans, Angolans or Portuguese with the name. Are you sure?

I'm playing a save in Portugal at the moment and I've seen the name come up a few times for Portuguese players.

Although doing a bit of google digging, it seems like the name is from a people in Africa that originated from Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Pretty sure Mozambique is a past Portuguese colony, so perhaps that's how the name has gotten into Portugal?

Yeah. Probably. Carlos Queiroz was born in Mozambique, y'know.

Anyways, I think I've derailed this topic enough - on with the funnies!

Each year, CONMEBOL invite 2 countries from outside their confederation to play in the Copa America. Japan and Mexico were invited this year.

Especially as Ter already commented that seeing him in the Celtic team made him sick.

Not funny in the traditional sense, I was just in disbelief more than anything, think my right back position is jinxed. Away at united is bad enough but my first choice RB is injured fairly quick, then his replacement is injured too minutes later, then later in the game the replacement for the replacement is sent off :S

Ironically I still got a totally unexpected draw.

Well I got a famous radio personality on my radar at the moment:

Well I see the surname "Dick" is funny to you^^. Here in germany it┤s just a normal surname. Look at 1.FC Kaiserslautern Florian DICK is playing there as WB on the right side and next to him as DC there Martin AmeDICK playing.^^ Those dicks are playing well
