wazza
What stats do you look for in your defenders for playing successful offside in the game
slipknot67
Pace, positioning, anticipation and teamwork are the main attributes I'd want in a defender to be able to effectively use the off side trap.
AB-forever
I would say Acceleration rather than Pace.
slipknot67
I would say Acceleration rather than Pace. I realised my mistake almost as soon as I posted tbh, obviously getting off the mark fast would indeed be a lot more important to being successful in implementing the off side trap than how long you can maintain your top speed for.:o

Yes but the thread isn't about what attributes a defender would need if you tried to use the off side trap and it doesn't work.
blast126
Pace, positioning, anticipation and teamwork are the main attributes I'd want in a defender to be able to effectively use the off side trap. Concentration is also an important attribute to playing offside.
QWERTYOP
Not a lot of defenders are known for pace in the lower leagues where I tend to play, so I never bother with it. Always play a deep line too. I fear being caught out.
Insert_Goal_Here
This sort of information should be stickied as far as I am concerned. Thank you Google, and thanks too goes Slipknot67, someone I recall from my early days on this forum.
