Hypanimz
Hey everybody. With the release of FM13 Beta today I have decided to start my career thread. I had a brief thread towards the end of FM12 with St Albans that went fairly well. I took a break to recharge for what I hope is a epic save for FM13. The Save English leagues only to BSN/BSS With all UK + Ireland players and top players from European teams The Aim The aim is to have a long career winning many trophies. There are some things I have planned for much later on in the save if I manage to establish my club as a top european side. I am playing this under Dafuge Challenge rules so it is a one club challenge to take a previously unplayable team from the lowest league to win the Champions League and the Premiership. I have already holidayed the first season and I have just picked my team...
Hypanimz
Banbury United Founded in 1931, Banbury United are a semi-professional English Club. The club play their home games at Spencer Stadium. The club is known as The Puritans and has a fierce rivalry with Brackley Town. No club legends, icons or favoured personnel and only one trophy in the cabinet, the English Hellenic League Premier Divsion back in 2000 which means I have the chance to build this club up and create history. I tend to only buy players under the age of 21 and I intend on doing this as much as possible for the coming save. Wish me luck
Chutney132
Having completed this challenge with Banbury on FM11, I wish you the very best of Luck! Hope you get out of the BSN quicker than me, as it took me 6 seasons!

Hypanimz
Chutney132 - Thanks for your support. In all honesty I dont mind how long it takes me to go through the divisions, I plan on having this save for the entire duration of FM13. SRL88 - Its a bit different, kind of reminds me of a scarecrow. On the clubs forums there actually considering a badge change, Hopefully they dont change it. Hypanimz
Wow - that was short lived. Board takeover and sacked. I dont have a day 1 Banbury save either so back to reloading. Edit: - I've been reloading since this has happened and managed to get Banbury United to appear again. The good news is the chairman apparently loves the club so here we go... Take 2! Paolo Willenté
Haha all the best, I live literally 5 minutes from Banbury.
Hypanimz
It only took me 3 hours of reloading but Banbury have once again been promoted. Lets hope it goes better this time.
Hypanimz
Haha all the best, I live literally 5 minutes from Banbury. I live approx 45 mins away. This is why I wanted to play as them this year. Nice to have local (ish) ties to a team.
Hypanimz
Pre-Season 13-14 Pre-season went fairly well. I've brought in a lot of new players who will hopefully improve my squad which didnt have much quality. My scouts are currently roaming the UK looking for more improvements. The friendlies were all against lower league teams so we could hopefully build confidence for the coming season. We played some very nice football in all of our games going unbeaten and scoring 15 goals in the process. New striker Hatib Cham was the standout player scoring 9 of those goals. Hypanimz
Second league match in the season we play local rivals Brackley at home. Dispatched comfortably.

This are going along quite nicely at the moment. were sat in the top half of the league but there is still alot to play for. My scouts have finally started to find players for me so hopefully I will improve the squad soon.

Hypanimz
Good luck mate! Thanks alot buddy. Just thought I would include a screenshot of this regen. He is the leagues top scorer at 16 years old, potential to make it as a leading Championship player and already has an England U19 cap. The worst bit is he is playing for Kettering who under dafuge challenge rules were an eligible team so I could of been managing him.
Hypanimz
Mid-Season Update Not a bad start to the season. We went our first 9 games unbeaten but then didnt win for 6 in a row. We are currently sat in 7th place on 32 points which I'm surprised with as I dont think our team is very strong. We really need to strengthen but I'm struggling to find any better players. League Table Squad Looking forward to the second half of the season. Hopefully we can force ourselves into the play-offs.

Hypanimz
Looks like a very good start. It surprises me that we are this high up the table. My squad is nowhere close to the level I thought it should be to challenge the play-offs.
FMtillidie
good start so far, maybe a push for the play offs.
Hypanimz
good start so far, maybe a push for the play offs. Thanks. Looks possible at this point. We are in 4th on 50 points after 30 games. 12 games to go!!
Hypanimz
Banbury United - Blue Square Bet North - 2013/14 Good first season. I never thought we would challenge the play-offs at the start of the season. On the final day we were sat in the final play-off position but we lost 3-2 and fell out. Was a very good platform to build on so looking forward to next season. League Table Past Positions Inconsistant is the best way to sum up our league campaign. Also an inability to finish off teams. We threw away so many 2-0 leads to either draw or lose. Kettering walked away with the league thanks to Paul Moran, the superstar newgen. My thread will probably involve him a lot more in the future. Cups - Knocked out by Local rivals Brackley int he 4th qual. round of the FA Cup was a dissapointment. Squad - Personally i thought it was weak and needed more improvement. Looking forward to getting my wage budget to work with for next season. The bad news is alot of my players wont sign new deals so will be leaving on frees. Transfers - Plenty of movement and there will be the same this coming summer. Finances - In debt. Pretty standard at this level. Need a cup run. Key Player Profiles: Hatib Chan - Star striker, scored 31 in 42 also setting up 12. Lewis Wilson - Took a while to settle in but scored 20 in 33. Andre da Costa - highest avg. rating in my team. Set up 12 in 22 games. Could of been so much better if he didnt get sent of 5 (FIVE) times. Good first season. Bit worried about the pre-season as alot of players will need and I need to replace them with quality.

Hypanimz
Morning everybody. I've had to restart my save. After my season finished as Banbury I was only left with 13 players in my squad after my players contracts run out (they wouldnt renew.) The board decided not to increase my wage budget, so I was left spending £3,500 p/w and only had a £3,300 p/w budget. I spent 2/3 hours searching for non contract players to join but the most I could offer was £110 p/w and the lowest they would accept was £160 p/w. Basically I messed it up badly. I've started another save and completed two seasons already and I'm really enjoting that so I'm about to post that up here and have this deleted. Thanks to everybody who gave there support and hopefully you can follow my new (and better managed) career thread.
