Thank you, I'll have a look at some point, i like to fill histories. The problem is the positions, that is why I've written the players for you to find. In this site its just general as "midfielder" or "defender". I' quote them again for you to see tomorrow or whenever you can find some time.

Just so you guys know, I've been busy the last few days, but I've now decided to do the transfers for all 14 teams in the UAE Pro League. I've also been able to find a few more of the staff for some of the teams and some other stuff such as the teams' captains/vice captains and the team's nicknames who didn't have one set in the database. I've only just started though and I don't know how long it will take to complete. I'll post all 14 teams once I've done them all to make it easier for the researcher to see (if there is even someone updating them - have any of you found out if there is a UAE researcher yet?).

There isn't, and they are looking for one to fill the post. It is strange though that no one from an Arab country has sought this position all this time, even now we can't find one. I don't know if there is anyone who will update them if we post the info though. A user here assured us that everything posted is under consideration but you never know.

Anyway, good luck with the research! I'll be helping by updating histories/transfers of Saudi/Iranian and maybe Qatari players if I have time, as I've done the previous days.

Faisal will you be able to do the players quoted in the 3rd post of this page? Under the title Al-Wasl, although they might have transfered from there, so we need to know their new team as well as their position and age when needed.

    Al-Wasl:

Ali Mohammed Abdulrahman Rabea bin Al-Tenaiji (23158101)- CB

Abdulrahman Khalfan (23158013) - 18-11-1984, he is not with alwasl and i didnt find where he moved to and statstics shows that he didnt play any match this year so i think free agent?

Khalifa Abdullah (23158012) 20-2-1991, CM and Maradona when he was the coach he labaled him as Alwasl's Xavi
Abdulrahman Yousuf (23158010)- he is with AlAhli, CB

Saoud Saeed Suhail bin Ali Mohammed (23158009)- LB

Yaser Salem Mohammed bin Hasan (23158007)- CB

Mohammed Jamal Atiq bin Al-Falasi (23158005) CM

Fadel Ahmed (23158004) in Ajman (loan from Alwasl), LB, couldnt find his age!

    Obaid Naser (23158003) DM

    Hasan Yousuf (23158000) CM

Wahid Ismael Mohammad bin Seesi (23046605) CB

    Essa Ali Al-Bloushi (23000223) CM/DM

Suhail Khaled Mal-Allah Ahmad Obeid only needs an age, he is a ST. for this striker in 2008 it was his first year in the first team as he was in the under 18 team, so i guess 23-22 maybe

    Hi djole and the others,

I found that you really have the heart to put all the data into this thread. We do want to update the data as good as possible. Unfortunately, the main point is that there is just 1 Asian Head researcher who only have 2 eyes and 2 hands while there are over 30 Asian nations I have to update while I am not a full time worker at all! I have already spent most of my time on China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Qatar, Saudi Arabian data etc...

I also have a full set of Season 2010/11, Season 2011/12 and Season 2012/13 UAE data on my computer but the problem is that there is no time for me to put them all into the database!

Last time (2 years ago), I spent totally 2 months (at least 6 hours a day) to update the UAE data and it was just like living in the hell. You would never know how frustrating and time consuming could be for doing the whole country research and data renewal if you never did so! Some people (5 applicants) did apply as UAE assistants but when they received the tool to edit the data, all of them ran away without a reply! Probably because the tool is not easy to use or the work load could be too high!

It is not as simple as you thought for just adding or editing something. When you add a new player, you need to check if it is a duplicated player; When you want to transfer in a foreign player, you will need to make a request and ask the other researcher from other nations to help you to make that specific transfer; Meanwhile, you have to find out the join date for the transfer and you have to be careful if there are any potential problems for the format of data you have set because all data are official data and what you have put in different section must be identical (e.g. what you have put in Contract section now must be equivalent to the History part when the player left). So, we have to do them one by one and one by one. That is the most time consuming part….

Just like this thread, I have already updated until #41 but it already spent me for 3 hours already. Because I have to open request for every player transfer from other researchers. Meanwhile, since you have not provided the UID of the player and then I have to find the UID of every player so as to make a request. Also, for filling in the history, it is also the most time consuming part because the club names you have provided are different from the names appeared in the game. We need a 100% correct club short name (For Assistants Researcher, they need Club Full name) which used inside the game. Otherwise we have to search out the correct club name again in order to fill in the History part... That is why I have spent 3 hours to just finish up to #41.
So, I would put an end up to #41 because the deadline for FM 2013 February patch has passed.

Next time when I have time, I will update UAE data again but I did think some volunteers must appear and like to sacrifice their time on handling the data into good standard!

Don't blame if the task could be too many and too difficult but it is the fact! To update a large piece of data with good accuracy is a very very tough job! Being a researcher is not attractive at all! If you do not have a good patience, you must choose to quit!

So, please email me if you want to face such challenge. I can give you the tool for you to have a try first. Until April / May, usually, the new database will arrive and then we can formally start the update. Or you can send me email and you can apply to help on the data. Then, you will be able to ‘enjoy’ the work. Putting all info here is not a good way at all but directly give a hand would be the best.

    Regards,

    FM Head Asian Researcher

Frank, I don't know if I will have the time to do that, I'm also writing from time to time in the Greek FM forum for research whenever I can so i can't promise and that's why I didn't apply. In addition I am not Arab nor do I speak Arabic and that makes my life hard if I want to find info about players that heir names differ when translated in English.

If you look from posts #43 onwards, you can see that there are ID's to help the researcher, as well as sources wherever possible to check the accuracy. I get that you don't have the time though but you stumbled across the most "difficult part", when we first wrote and it wasn't so disciplined. Now I think it is also easier for the HR to correct things as we give the info in a better way.

Anyway, if I find that i will have the time i will contact you and thanks for the offer.

Southern, if you do continue with it, we can try to provide the best possible info we can and in addition, if you do the histories first (having the correct names off-course) or transfers from one UAE team to another, it's going to improve the database a lot even if you do just that. Now it's unplayable though...

It is something I would probably be interested in doing, but we'll have to see what happens. I've sent them an email and now awaiting a response. I would like to try out the editor tool first to see how it works which would give me an idea of whether it is something I could do.

2014 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC Fourth Round - (Random Groups)

Noticed that when I start a game that the groups for this round are random, they should be set already as the fourth round was started on June 3 2012. Can you fix this in a future update thanks!

Just want to bring this up, has it been noticed that Indonesian db are wrongly done?
Of course i'm not referring to full transfer update or such things (which i understand would be so hard to do seeing how limited is the resources available) but sadly Indonesian db were just, wrong.

I'm referring to the league, league structure, and league contender list which look like no one had touched their db for a while.
Example, the country's top tier league on the db is Indonesian Super League. Well that was not true anymore. The country's top tier league is, as shown on FIFA website rite here (http://www.fifa.com/associations/ass...standings.html) is Indonesian Prime League (Liga Prima Indonesia). And with the wrong league, come the whole set of wrong league contender, and consequently wrong league structure also.

Is there something that could be done on this? Of course doing a full update with such a resource is not viable but please could not we get at least the right top tier league and its right contender? And btw the FM 2013 credit page said that Indonesia has its own research team. If they are still on the position first and foremost then, seeing how fundamental is this flaw, this have to be their share of work
    Regards

EDIT : Got the database update and, God i'm speechless. The Indonesian DB seems to got an overhaul (transfers, team names etc) which is a proof by itself that Indonesian are getting attention. Sadly, a wrong one. As i'd been stating before this is the wrong league and the wrong league structure. From link i provided above alone it should be obvious that Indonesian FIFA's acknowledged and thereby supported top tier league is the Indonesian Prime League, not the one provided in the game. I'm so disappointed by the fact that attention and time which was deliberately spent for on the Indonesian db was sent to a completely wrong place. This is the first FM edition which i'm legally bought yet because i couldnt play the legal league of my country (even though time was deliberately spent by the developer on updating my country in game) this has turns out to be a very disappointing buy. Never thought that my legal support to the developer by buying instead of pirating the game would be paid off by the developer support to an illegal league while in the same time ignoring the legal one. Thank you..

May I say, thank you very much to SouthernNUFC, djole and faisalaldoseri for their hard work in the thread earlier.

I did try to get as much of their work into the 13.3 database as possible, but did not have enough time. That said, since the data deadline passed, I have returned to this thread and have looked at each post after #41 (where Frank Ng had worked up to). I have updated the UAE database ready for the first research exercises of FM2014.

I note that someone had stated that they did not have time to do the UAE research. However, you had already spent hours finding the data to post here! I believe that you would find the time if you wanted to help as well as you have helped earlier.

If there is anyone out there willing to provide a few hours each year, as that is all that it takes, then we would be delighted to hear from you. That goes for anyone willing to research football in other Asian nations, not only those six nations that we can play in FM (China PR, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Korea) but also those nations such as Iran and Iraq, as well as the Gulf states, for which Frank, and indeed myself, struggle due to the obvious language problems.

In the Saudi Arabia national team records page, it appears that their biggest defeat is a 0-13 match against the United Arab Emirates. This is not correct, as the match was against the United Arab Republic, which is a country that doesn't exist anymore (it was an union between Egypt and Syria back in the 50's or 60's). The UAR is not currently in the database as an extinct nation. If it can't be created, I suggest using Egypt, given that FIFA considers the Egyptian national team as the UAR successor.

I create a file of Chinese league, and find
Chinese Super League team "Shandong Luneng", and Chinese First Division team "Chongqing FC",
the "Researve Team" is missing, that is to say, only "First Team" and "U19 team" exist.
I think this may be the bug of game engine.

That makes me feel very sad, because I play FM for a long time, that's the first time that I found there's no Researve Team for my favorite team ''Chongqing FC'' and ''Shandong Luneng''.
This makes me feel bad, without the Researve Team, means I have to put many needlessness players in my First Team,OMG,that‘s so bad,I don't like to play the game in this way.So please add the Researve Team for ''ChongQing FC'' and ''Shandong Luneng'',I;d like to see they back to the game for me to play in the next update in FM2013 or in FM2014.

And I also hope that you can let us to choose Chinese Football Association Second League in the game.I know there's many player in China love to play FM,and many of us have been play FM for a long time. But we just can choose ChineseFootballAssociationSuperLeague and Chinese First League in the game. But we all know that there's not only Two League in China,in fact we have various league in China,so we all hope that we can have more choose Leagues to choose ,and we all will be very happy if you can add more league for China such like England.
Thanks! And I hope you can accept my advice!

In order to have more realism, I think something must be done for the Asian Champions League as well. The competition is way to easy to win with many Qatari/Saudi/South Korean teams, there is hardly any challenge.

In addition, when changing from the editor one president to "sugar-daddy foreground" as many presidents of Arab clubs are in reality, they tenad to leave after 2-4 seasons and the one that replaces them hardly makes any investments. Moreover, there seem to been no sponsorships or sources of income for Qatari/UAE/Saudi clubs. Will this be changed in the future?

Also, the finances and reputations of both clubs and championships of the "oil regions" are way to low compared to reality. In-game, a transfer like that of Nene to Al-Gharaffa in reality would never happen. Same as Cisse's loan to the same team, or Asamoah Gyan's transfer to Al-Ain etc. I think this is a serious issue that needs to be addressed if we want a more realistic game.

Further on, many players lack attributes, even if they are "known" players of that championships. Is there anyone who can help here by describing some players (mostly Emirati, Qatari) in order to fill some attributes?

    Summer 2013 Transfers:

    Saudi Arabia:

    Yahya Al-Shehri signs for Al-Nassr(KSA) for 10M.

    UAE:

Al Nasr sign Ali Hussain from Al Ahli on a two-year contract.

Hassan Ali Ibrahim has signed a one-year contract with newly promoted side Emirates. The former Al Ahli and Al Wasl player expressed his excitement at signing for his new side, saying: “The reason I decided to move to Emirates is because it is one of the oldest clubs in the UAE with a great history. I am looking forward to joining up with my new teammates and I hope to perform to my best possible level and live up to the expectations of the Club’s management and fans.”

Ibrahim Diaky was officially unveiled as an Al Ain player at a press conference at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi this evening, with the experienced player signing a two-year contract with the League Champions.

Emirates have signed Emirati defender Fahad Feraish on a one-year loan contract from Bani Yas, the Club confirmed today.

Following lengthy negotiations, Al Shaab’s first choice goalkeeper Mutaz Abdulla has put pen to paper on an extended deal with the Club by committing to the new deal in the early hours of Monday morning

Al Shaab have wasted no time in bolstering their squad following their final-day escape from relegation, announcing the signing of three new players to take them into the 2013-2014 season. Defender Essa Mohammed has made the switch from Al Shabab, midfielder Essa Ali signs from Al Nasr, and defender Idris Fawzi remains in the professional league by moving from relegated Kalba to the Khaled bin Mohammed Stadium.

UAE midfielder Sultan Al Ghaferi has signed for Al Ain on a 3-year deal from Bani Yas, following the expiration of his contract at the end of the season.

Al Ahli have announced the signing of Portuguese midfielder Hugo Viana on a two-year deal.

Al Ahli have also completed the transfer of Emirati midfielder Humaid Abdulla Abbas from Al Nasr. The 25-year-old moves to the Rashid Stadium on a 3-year contract, having spent his entire career to date with Al Nasr.

Al Nasr Club has confirmed that Italian head coach Walter Zenga’s contract at the Club has been terminated by mutual consent.

Following their final-day escape from relegation, Al Shaab have rewarded head coach Marius Sumudica with a 2-year contract extension, keeping the Romanian at the club until summer 2015. French striker Michael Laurent N’dri, who scored 13 League goals for the club in the 2012-2013 season, has also been handed a one-year contract extension.

N’dri will be the only international player retained in Al Shaab’s ranks as the Portuguese midfielder Filipe Teixeira, Zimbabwean midfielder Noel Kaseke and Lebanese midfielder Hassan Maatouk have all been released.

Al Shaab also confirmed that striker Faisal Khalil’s loan deal from Al Ahli will not be extended, stating that the player had been given full opportunity to prove himself and return to his former level, but frequent absences and lateness to training forced the coach’s hand in dropping him from the squad.

Obaid Khalifa has signed for Ajman from Al Ahli on a one-year contract, bolstering the Orange defense following the departure of Saleh Bashir and the end of Adel Al Hammadi’s loan

Ajman also confirmed that Al Nasr have approved their request to extend Ismail Al Jasmi’s loan.

I've got a query about the Transfer Preferences data in the db. I've noticed none of the Asian teams have Transfer Preferences listed. I'm not sure if anyone else has had this experience but in my Australian A-League game I've not had any players transferred to Korea, China, Qatar and UAE as is happening in real life. Euro countries have Transfer Preferences set. I was wondering if there could be some Transfer Preferences set in the db to encourage some transfer activity from Australia into Asia. Otherwise the only players regularly leaving my game are top Socceroo players (regens) heading to Europe. (Maybe it should be Asian Continental Transfer Preferences rather than specifically Australia.)
