Scottish Version of the Trophy Collector

The Scottish Version of the Trophy Collector – Sign-up (All the rest stolen from jimbowmanuk's fantastic sign up - and wanted to try one myself)

As Everyone knows it’s the managers who grab a lot of the headlines for the success or failures of their teams. The successful managers are placed in the highest esteem with the media salivating over there every great purchase and never really focusing too much on the bad games, the unsuccessful managers however are ridiculed, with every bit of where they went wrong picked apart in detail.

This sign-up is to find out who will be successes and who will be failures, the winner will be deemed to be the manager with the most trophies. I require just 10 names as all managers will take over (randomly) the 10 clubs from the Scottish 4rd Division - so you will all be head to head.

Clubs as follows:

18Rabbit has Alloa Athletic, media prediction of 1st

stoff7 has Annan Athletic, media prediction of 3rd

5ergio has Queen's Park, media prediction of 9th

stothy has Montrose, media prediction of 8th

marty78 has Peterhead, media prediction of 2nd

toonbalmy87 has Clyde, media prediction of 7th

jimbowmanuk has Stranraer, media prediction of 5th

David Corperial has East Stirlingshire, media prediction of 10th

terence123470 has Elgin City, media prediction of 4th

nastymillerson has Berwick Rangers, media prediction of 6th

Should have a few updates for you shortly - and as said in the sign up notice - this idea has been stolen in a nearly identical format to jimbowmanuk's fantastic sign up, all thanks to him for a great idea and one I wanted to try out in a country that should see the season's tick by quickly.

Scottish League Challenge Cup - First Round Update (L3 Clubs only)

Alloa 2- 1 Elgin City

Hamilton 2 - 0 Stranraer

East Fife 2 -0 East Stirlingshire

Buckie Thistle 0 - 1 Peterhead

Annan 1 - 0 Queen's Park

Ayr 2 - 1 Berwick

Stenhosemuir 2 - 1 Clyde (AET)

Stirling 2 - 0 Montrose

Three teams making it through to the 2nd round, with a couple of early cup head to heads.

Scottish League Challenge Cup - Second Round Update (L3 Clubs only)

Annan 0 - 3 Dundee

Peterhead 2 - 1 Brechin

Alloa 0 -3 Morton

Just Peterhead keeping the dream alive for one manager.

Scottish League Challenge Cup - Third Round Update (L3 Clubs only)

Livingston 2 - 2 Peterhead (Peterhead lost on pens)

So unlucky for the Peterhead boys who lost 3-2 on pens.

-----

Scottish League Cup - First Round Update (L3 Clubs only)

Queen's Park 1 - 2 Ayr

Dundee 2 - 1 Elgin City

Annan 1 - 1 Livingston (Annan win on pens)

Falkirk 4 - 0 Clyde

Stirling 1 - 1 Alloa (Alloa lost on pens)

Peterhead 2 - 1 Cowdenbeath

Stranraer 1 - 1 Ross County (Stranraer win on pens)

Montrose 0 - 0 Partick Thistle (Montrose lost on pens)

Berwick 1 - 2 Morton

Queen of Sth 2 - 0 East Stirlingshire

So 3 of our teams carry on through to the 2nd round with a couple of teams needing penalty shoot outs to progress, Annan and Stranraer beating League 1 teams.

Scottish League Cup - Second Round Update (L3 Clubs only)

Motherwell 6 - 0 Annan

Stranraer 1 - 3 Kilmarnock (AET)

Peterhead 1 - 2 Inverness CT

So the League Cup dream is over for our boys, but I would suggest Stranraer came closest to a 3rd round match after taking Kilmarnock to extra time.

-----

Scottish Cup - Second Round Update (L3 Clubs only)

Elgin City 2 - 1 Edinburgh City

East Stirlingshire 2 - 1 Inverurie Loco Works

Lossiemouth 1 - 2 Clyde

Spartans 1 - 2 Peterhead

Brora 1 - 2 Queen's Park

Montrose 3 - 1 Cove Rangers

Stranraer 1 - 0 Whitehill Rovers

Alloa 1 - 0 Deveronvale

Berwick 1 - 2 Buckie Thistle

Annan 3 - 0 Abbey Vale

9 from 10 go through, however Berwick can now concentrate on the league having been knocked out of all cup comps.

Scottish Cup - Third Round Update (L3 Clubs only)

Ayr 2 - 0 Alloa

Dalbeattie Star 1 - 3 East Stirlingshire

Stranraer 1 - 2 Stenhousemuir

Montrose 1 - 2 Brechin

Elgin City 0 - 3 Ross County

Annan 1 - 0 Queen's Park

Clyde 0 - 3 Peterhead

So, 4 clubs through to the 4th round and time for the big boys and 2 of our clubs have drawn them. Annan host Celtic, whilst Peterhead are away at Rangers - lets hope the boys don't set a new record for biggest defeats which currently stand at 5-0.

Scottish Cup - Fourth Round Update (L3 Clubs only)

East Stirlingshire 0 - 1 Hibernian

Rangers 2 - 0 Peterhead

Annan 1 - 3 Celtic

So cup games all over for another season, and all three of the teams can hold their heads up high after great games against Prem teams.

3/4 Season Update:

With just 9 games of the season to go Peterhead are still top of the table and now 4 points clear of 2nd placed Annan, Queen's Park and Berwick occupy the play off places. Stranraer are still bottom, and now 5 points behind the 9th placed team and seem destined to be the wooden spoon winners.
