Baptista_8
2010 aside, it's not very often we take a hammering is it? I can remember back as far as 96. Euro 96 - out on penalties (Semi-final) World Cup 98 - out on penalties (Second round) Euro 2000 - out at Group stage World Cup 2002 - 2-1 defeat (Quarter-final) Euro 2004 - out on penalties (Quarter-final) World Cup 2006 - out on penalties (Quarter-final) Euro 2012 - out on penalties (Quarter-final) I mean you know, fine line between the quarter final hoodoo and making several semis. We'd have made 1 final, 1 more quarter final and three semi-finals just if the shoot-outs went our way. What's worse, our inability to keep possession (which is obviously still a major issue) or what seems to be a mental problem for our players?
SI Staff Jeroen Thijssen Posted June 26, 2012 SI Staff Share Posted June 26, 2012 Worse is that there are already several threads on the matter...
