aren't the yellow cards reboot at the end of the qualification stage?

I wonder how the central defence will hold against the spaniards. Rami Koscielny, they had a fine game against Serbia, it's nowhere near Spain though.

I think any outstanding yellow cards are wiped after the QF, the reason being that someone can't be suspended for the final because of accumulation of cards in the SF. The commentators on ITV and BBC have been very unclear on this though.

You are correct. They brought it in line with the World Cup when FIFA made the change to that tournament.

France starting XI

Debuchy/Réveillère on the right hand side, why not, to man mark Iniesta probably.

Malouda as CM  His wondergoal against Serbia was great, but his game against Sweden was a mess, he missed so many easy passes.

The midfield is way less impressive than : Makélélé/Viera/Zidane. :'(

Funny how Spain scored their only goal against Croatia when they took the striker off and went back to the 4-6-0 formation though. :D

thats more to do with the fact that the striker in question was torres though

or more to do with the fact that Croatia pushed on a lot more in the latter part of the second half, and that was after Torres went off.

It was probably more of a case of trying not to lose the game and ensuring they qualify rather than bringing on someone to win the game for them, especially as it was obvious that Croatia would be pushing forward a lot more as the game went on.

Then again, Torres hasn't been great this tournament, i think i would have scored against Ireland if i had players like Iniesta and Xavi behind me.

Of course, but I don't think it was the decision to take him off that won them the game (technically, it did because Navas scored the winner, but you know what I'm saying)

Yeah thought so. Was just wondering if vdb has some hard-on for this current system for whatever reason.

why does jamie keep asking roy, and only roy, questions?

Is a bit odd that. "Roy, you've been a manager..." Jamie, you've got a current, and better, manager sat just the other side of you, mate :D

France have given me many excellent bottles of wine and brandy, Marcel Proust to read, and Zinedine Zidane to admire on the football pitch.

It's settled. I'm a Frenchman for the night! :D

Come on France! :)

I should support France I suppose to. Not really bothered, just hope game is good!
