Player Profile for July is goalkeeper Galen Zantk:

GalenZantk.png

Galen played in all 5 of Vauxhall's pre-season matches conceding just 1 goal and keeping 4 clean sheets, indispensable to the club and is currently on an £8 per week youth contract which expires on the 30.06.2012. The young man is seen as a fairly professional young goalkeeper who is media-friendly, 31 out of 80 passes were completed during pre-season, just 38% success rate. Galen turned down an offer of a 1st team contract this month stating he should see a significant pay rise after completing a set amount of first team games.

Other News:

David Ginsberg, Mike Nevo and Leonardo Lombardo refused to sign contracts given to them by the club for the same reason as Galen.

Leonardo Lombardo was injured during the match against Altrincham - strained knee ligaments, as we stand he has been out of action for 3 weeks and is not expected to be back for another 6 to 8 weeks.

David has had a great start to his season starting all 5 of Vauxhall's opening Blue Square Bet North League games, £8 per week until 30.06.2012 for this indispensable player. A young centre-back who is very professional and feels he will learn a lot whilst at his current club. What does wonka have to do to get international honours! 4 goals in 5 league games plus all his goals from the friendlies and it still isnt enough to get him into the San Marino side.

nastymiller, is the formation for the U-19 match or the senior match?

U19's mate - at the moment no-one is playing for the 1st team, and in the last game only 1 person played for the U21's.

When a number of players play for each team, I will have three formations and summaries mate, thanks for the question.

Bad timing---missed the internationals :(

At least, it isn't serious---should be right back in action soon.

September 2010

2 league wins a draw and an F.A.Cup qualifying win for the lads as the impressive start continues.

(A) Alfreton 2-2 Draw: Josh Wilson and Craig Mahon are the goalscorers.

(H) Harrogate 5-0 Win: John Harkness, Martyn James, David Ginsberg, Willy Wonka and Ya Pierre-Dolle the goalscorers.

(A) Blyth 1-0 Win: Leighton McGiven the goalscorer.

(H) Northwich (FA Cup) 4-0 Win: Ya Pierre-Dolle (2) and Martyn James (2) the goalscorers.

Player Profile for September is Midfield (Centre) Martyn James:

MartynJames.png

A solid start to the season and the career for Martyn who has got his head down and is responding to the coaching he is receiving by already improving 3 CA points. What has impressed me most about the player so far is his ability to unlock defences and creat chances for his team-mates, and has already set 10 league and cup goals up this season in just 8 games. Another player on a youth contract of £8 per week he is enthusiastic about his future, a professional level-headed player he has already made his non-senior International debut. In the 8 games he has played this season he has seen 79% of his passes find a team mate, a whopping 307 out of 388! And is close to 40 miles of running with 39.2 clocked up so far.

Stats2.png

Other News:

Galen Zantk, David Ginsberg, Leonardo Lombardo, Mike Nevo, Marytn James, Joey Turner and Barrio Wilikinsonio have turned down new contracts from the club as they feel they should get a decent pay rise after a certain amount of games. Omar Brown has turned down a new deal stating a poor basic wage and poor first team bonus as the reason, whilst Nathan Walker and Ben Smith have turned their contract offers down saying they wanted a larger salary and bonus payments payments to be higher. Sercan Cali is the first to sign up, and starts a 3 year contract when he turns 17.

Joey Turner strainer his knee ligements during a match and has been out for 13 days, anything up to another 2 months of missed action ahead! Leonardo Lombardo got match fit and then twisted his ankle in his return match, 13 days out so far on the back of the 8 weeks he missed with his previous injury - looking at 5 more weeks out. No other injury problems at the moment.

October 2010

Another unbeaten month for the Vauxhall boys with a draw and two league wins and 2 F.A.Cup wins meaning the boys will face North Leigh in the 1st round proper.

(H) Boston Utd 1-1 Draw: Steve Duffy the goalscorer.

(H) Ashton Utd (FA Cup) 4-1 Win: Ya Pierre-Dolle, Nathan Walker and Willy Wonka (2) the goalscorers.

(H) Hinckley 4-1 Win: Ya Pierre-Dolle (2), Chris Stringer and John Harkness the goalscorers.

(A) Southport (FA Cup) 2-1 Win: Ya Pierre-Dolle and Willy Wonka the goalscorers.

(H) Hyde 4-1 Win: Nathan Walker, Willy Wonka, John Harkness and Omar Brown the goalscorers

Player Profile for September is Striker Ya Pierre-Dolle:

YaPierreDolle.png

10 goals in his first 13 games has shown what a handfull this young man is, 4 goals in 3 FA Cup games and 6 in 10 league games is the split. Currently on £8 a week, but has agreed to sign a £140 a week contract when he turns 17 for Vauxhall. I do however feel, this outspoken striker will be on the move shortly if he continues to bang the goals in as he is doing so. Fairly loyal, but with an outspoken media style, a long and colourful career is what is in store. 52% of all his shorts hit the target with 43% of these ending in goals.

Stats3.png

Other News:

Great news for the club as Long Tym Toon, John Harkness, Willy Wonka and Ya Pierre-Dolle agree to sign 3 year contracts when they turn 17, this is great news for the club as I am sure the players will be moving on shortly and as such, the club should see some decent profit for them. On the flip side Steve Duffy said no to his contract offer stating a poor pay rise after an agreed number of games being the reason.

Joey Turner is still out with strained knee ligements and should be back within 2 weeks, has missed 6 weeks of action so far, whilst the rest of the team are injury free.

San Marino did play International games last month, but not one of our players were involved in any of the action!!!!

U19's team lost 3-0 in front of 140 fans - none of our players played in the game.

U21's grabbed a 1-1 draw in front of 377 fans.

Lining up in a 4-4-1-1 formation the boys will be happy to get to avoiding defeat.

W.Wonka

L.Tym Toon

B.Smith - N.Walker - M.Battistini - J.Turner

R.Ragini- L.Lombardo - D.Ginsberg - M.Nevo

G.Zantk

Just John Harkness was on the bench, and he did in fact come on as sub.

Steady away draw for the U21 side with the boys coming back from a 68th minute goal scored by Johannes Westo, Ben Smith scoring for the away side on in the 78th minute. Ben Smith did also get booked, whilst Long Tym Toon will see around 3weeks out due to a gashed leg.
