Accomplished or Competent??

Looking for a little help please guys. In my game Man U have just Transfer Listed a young MRL who, as luck would have it, may be an ideal replacement for an ageing member of my squad. This MRL is Accomplished at both LWB and RWB plus Competent at LB and RB. However, when I look at the player on the Formation and Selection screen in a 4-1-2-1-2 formation he is in the physical position of FB and shows as Competent regardless of role. If I select his role as WBK does he remain only Competent or is he in fact Accomplished????
