Before the first pre-season match of the year, youngster Tim signed a pre-contract agreement with The Motormen, Tim will sign a three year professional deal on the 7th July 2011 when he reaches 17 years of age.

10.07.2010 - Pre-Season Friendly: Vauxhall Motors v Llangefni Town (Wales)

A steady start to the season saw Vauxhall beat non-league Welsh side Llangefni 1-0 in front of 40 fans.

Lining up in a 4-4-2 formation, Itmento Riocogo hit the only goal of the game in the 12th minute of the game after being set up by left back E.Talbott, captain W.Wonka was named man of the match whilst A.Moridin picked up a yellow card.

    I.Rionocogo - D.Akinfenwa
    E.Wilkinsono - D.Solo - D.Blum - A.del Piero
    E.Talbott - W.Wonka (c)- A.Moridin - L.Gonzalez

    S.Kemp, V.Meloni, R.Ramirez, G.Zantk, J.Stothard, D.Ginsberg, B.Stevens, Ya-Pierre Dolle all came on as subs with M.Nevo and D.Jones unused subs.

Next up, another Welsh team in Principality Welsh Premier side Bangor City. The boys just have two days left to gell before getting back on with it all.

A day before the next friendly, two young players turned down contract offers from the club. First up was Steve Duffy who turned the offer down as he was looking for a more lucrative salary and significant bonus payments. Elliott Talbott turned his contract as he wanted a significant pay rise after playing a certain number of league games.

10.07.2010 - Pre-Season Friendly: Vauxhall Motors v Bangor City (Wales)

An amazing 6-0 win means two wins in two games and no goals let in, the shame was just 26 fans saw this whopping.

Again lining up in a 4-4-2 formation, Goals from D.Jones (4, 53), A. del Piero (7), D.Akinfenwa (19,43) and J.Stothard (46) with the goals. D.Jones set 3 goals up, E.Talbott one and a couple of individual strikes, with 3 assists and 2 goals the obvious choice for man of match was D.Jones.

    D.Jones - D.Akinfenwa
    E.Wilkinsono - D.Solo - D.Blum - A.del Piero
    Y.Dolle- E.Talbott- W.Wonka (c) - L.Gonzalez
    F.Mahn

    M.Nevo, J.Stothard, Tim, A.Moridin, G.Alacarde all came on as subs with S.Duffy, V.Meloni, J.Emmens, O.Brown and D.Gensberg unused subs.

Next up, parent club Tranmere Rovers Reserve team.

Like Steve Duffy, Jake Stothard has turned the offer of a professional contract down as he was looking for a more lucrative salary and significant bonus payments, and a couple of days before the third pre-season game of the season Steve Duffy picks up a twisted ankle during a training session, initial thoughts are a 5 weeks lay off is in store for the young lad.

16.07.2010 - Pre-Season Friendly: Vauxhall Motors v Tranmere Rovers Reserves

Another clean sheet and more goals, 4-0 this time, just 19 fans turned up.

Again lining up in a 4-4-2 formation, a couple of goals each from I.Rionocogo (23,63) and D.Ginsberg (31, 35), E.Wilkinsono set up 3 of the goals and J.Stothard the other. Man of the match was D.Ginsberg.

    I.Rionocogo - D.Ginsberg
    E.Wilkinsono - S.Zangari - D.Blum - A.del Piero
    Y.Dolle- W.Wonka (c)- A.Moridin - L.Gonzalez
    F.Mahn

    M.Nevo, J.Stothard, G.Zantk, V.Meloni, B.Stevens and S.Kemp all came on as subs with J.Emmens, R.Ramirez, and D.Akinfenwa unused subs.

Next up, non league Chorley in our first away game.

    18.07.2010 - Pre-Season Friendly: Chorley v Vauxhall Motors

Bish, Bash, Bosh 6-0, going great guns in front of 55 fans.

Assists by D.Tiny, D.Blum (2), D.Solo and an individual effort, D.Akinfenwa picked up the man of the match award. The boys also showed another side to their make-up, picking up 3 bookings in a tough match - these being, Tim, G.Alacarde and Y.Dolle.

    R.Ramirez - D.Akinfenwa
    Tim- D.Solo - D.Blum - D.Tiny

Leading up to the final pre-season game Lucendro Gonzalez picked up a sports hernia during training and will be out for around 6 weeks.

    21.07.2010 - Pre-Season Friendly
: Vauxhall Motors v Northwich Victoria

74 fans turned out to see another clean sheet and another 4 goals, only a missed penalty by J.Emmens spoilt an even bigger win and end to what has been fantastic pre-season, with 5 wins out of 5, 21 goals scored and 0 conceded, this means only one thing!!!! Great pre-season, crappy full season.

    Again it was 4-4-2, goals were scored by D.Jones (29), J.Emmens (49), M.Nevo (72) and S.Zangari (76). Assists by M.Nevo, J.Bowmanesi, E.Wilkinsono, and S.Zangarit, M.Nevo picked up the man of the match award

    D.Jones - J.Emmens
    E.Wilkinsono- S.Zangari - D.Blum - J.Bowmanesu
    M.Nevo - W.Wonka (c) - A.Moridin - S.Kemp
    F.Mahn

    O.Brwon, J.Stothard and E.Talbott came on as subs with I.Rionocogo, G.Zantk, V.Meloni, D.Ginsberg, B.Stevens, Y.Dolle, and D.Akinfenwa unused subs.

Opening game of the season is in 26 days time against AFC Telford, in the meantime the players will get used to tactics and hopefully the International week will see some if not all the players called up for the various games taking part.

Brilliant updates Nastymiller! Plenty of detail

I can't understand why M.Nevo hasn't been playing, but he's taking his chance beautifully in the last game with a goal and an assist from LB! He's basically saying, play me and you will be happy

    10.08.2010 - U19 International: San Marino v Israel

International time over the next three days starting with the U19's at home to Israel, played in front of 498 fans the team lost 4-1, but it was a good learning experience for a number of Vauxhall players.

Never really in with a shout, the young guns went down to a heavy defeat, added to this was the knee ligament injury to S.Kemp - expected to be out for between 2 and 3 months.

Lining up in a 3-3-2-2 defensive formation, no real news for our players apart from the assist for the only goal by M.Nevo.

    A.Ceccoli - M.Stefanelli
    G.Carpinelli - E.Ceccoli
    M.Nevo - M.Casadei - S.Kemp
    N.Giorgini - M.Berardi - L.Lazzarini
    M.Zanott

J.Bowmanesi came on as sub, whilst A.del Piero was an unused one.

    11.08.2010 - U21 International: San Marino v Israel

A really good result for the nation, and a good representation by the Vauxhall boys in front of 1,172 fans. not winning, but doing much better than the U19's

Coming back from behind twice, the young U21 side drew 2-2 in a game they were expected to get well beat in. The downside to the match is a gashed arm for E.Wilkinsono, 5 to 8 days out so he should not miss too much pre-season training.

A flat 4-5-1 formation, goals by D.Solo (27) and D.Akinfenwa (74) with assists by E.Talbott and G.Alacarde, G.Alacarde was also man of the match having come on as a sub!

    D.Akinfenwa
    E.Wilkinsono - D.Solo - S.Zangari - D.Blum - B.Stevens
    E.Talbott - A.Moridin - W.Wonka (c) - O.Brown
    F.Mahn

    V.Meloni and G.Alacarde came on as subs, whilst R.Ramirez, G.Zantk, Y.Dolle, J.Emmens, Tim, D.tiny and D.Ginsberg were unused subs.

Leading up to the first league game of the season, there were a few contracts thrown on the table and an injury. J.Stothard may miss the start of the season with a virus, it will be touch and go for the young lad. E.Wilkinsono has snubbed the clubs offer of a contract due to the poor pay rise on offer after a certain number of games, as did D.Akinfenwa and D.Solo.

J.Emmens has signed a pre-contract which will give him a contract until June 2014, A.Moridin on the other hand turned down his contract due to a number of reasons.

17.08.2010 - Blue Square Bet North: Vauxhall Motors v AFC Telford United

273 fans turned up for the first game of the season, and what a start to the season a 4-0 win over the club predicted to finish in 2nd place. Be this luck or a sign of things to come, come on the Motormen! Playing an aggressive quick style of play, the no fear of the youth hammered AFC.

As usual, 4-4-2 was the name of the game, goals were scored by A.del Piero (5), I.Rionocogo (22,59) and D.Akinfenwa (75), whilst E.Talbott, G.Alacarde and D.Blum twice setting up the goals. E.Talbott was man of the match in this tuff game that saw bookings for A.del Piero, O.Brown, I.Rionocogo and W.Wonka

    I.Rionocogo - D.Akinfenwa
    G.Alacarde - D.Solo - D.Blum - A.del Piero
    E.Talbott - A.Moridin - W.Wonka (c) - O.Brown
    F.Mahn

V.Meloni came on as sub for D.Solo on 72 minutes, Y-Dolle, J.Emmens and Tim were unused subs.

    -----

17.08.2010 - Group 9 Youth Game: Stalybridge Celtic v Vauxhall Motors

13 fans turned out to see the Vauxhall youth team win the opening game of their season 3-0.

Like the first team the youths adopted a 4-4-2 formation, goals were scored by D.Ginsberg (2, 24), whilst O.Brown, J Stothard and D.Ginsberg set the goals up. J.Stothard picked up a booking.

    G.Mboa - D.Ginsberg (c)
    G.Zantk - S.Zangari - J.Stothard - B.Stevens
    Tim - M.Nevo - B.Simpson - O.Brown
    D.Spooner

    S.Duffy was an unused sub.

I've done amazing for my one chance in the club team and same again for San Marino, yet I don't seem to be given anymore chances? Is our manager mental or something?

Glad people are liking it - there won't be as much match day info when players start moving on from Vauxhall - the International's will stay as they are.

Based on feedback we can tweak it as we go.

Braumiller - E.Talbott's positional overview is as follows:

    Positions: (Defender - Left)

Other Positions: Defender (Centre) - Accomplished, Midfielder (Left) - Accomplished, Wing Back (Left) - Awkward and Defender (Right) - Ineffectual.

Very Strong left foot, weak right.

Good to see that V. Meloni is getting regular apps, eve though as sub.

What's his average rating? Anything notable for a DM? Good tackling, interceptions and passing?

18.08.2010 - Group 8 Reserve Game: Carlise United v Vauxhall Motors

77 fans turned out to see the Vauxhall reserve side keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 win, quite a few of the youth team made it 2 games in 2 days!

3-3-2-2 formation for the 2nd string, goal was scored by D.Ginsberg (20), whilst V.Meloni set the goal up and also got the man of the match award and O.Brown, got booked.

    D.Ginsberg (c) - R.Ramirez
    S.Zangari- J.Bowmanesi
    Tim - V.Meloni - O.Brown
    M.Nevo - S.Sharkey - L.Morgan
    S.Tynan

J.Stothard came on as sub whilst G.Zantk was an unused sub.

Once again, before the first team played a few contracts were offered. First S.Kemp signed a pre-contract deal meaning three seasons for the young star in the making, V.Meloni decided to turn his down stating a poor basic wage and wanted a bigger appearance bonus per game. del-Piero also turned his down as he wanted a large par rise once he hit a certain amount of games, finally R.Ramirez.

21.08.2010 - Blue Square Bet North: Vauxhall Motors v Worcester City

129 fans was a dissapointing attendance bearing in mind the great 4-0 first game of the season, but those fans that did turn up saw another big win and another clean sheet. Worcester are expected to finish in 14th position, so a 3-0 win could well have been expected.

Changing to a 3-3-2-2 the goals were scored by D.Blum (11), I.Rionocogo (19) and W.Wonka (67), G.Alacarde, D.Blum and D.Akinfenwa set the goals up. Another couple of bookings, for A.Moridin and I.Rionocogo, whilst E.Talbott picked up a gashed leg (maybe 4 weeks out injured) and G.Alacarde a gashed head (couple of weeks out) picked up injuries, W.Wonka picked up the man of the match award.

    I.Rionocogo - D.Akinfenwa
    D.Solo - D.Blum
    G.Alacarde - V.Meloni - D.Tiny
    E.Talbott - W.Wonka (c) - A.Moridin
    F.Mahn

Y.Dolle and J.Emmens came on as subs, whilst E.Wilkinsono was unused.

A fantastic start to the season, not only for wins - but even better is the number of clean sheets for all three teams!

    -----

21.08.2010 - Group 9 Youth Game: Vauxhall Motors v Gainsbrough Trinity

18 fans turned out to see the Vauxhall youth team won by another margin of 3 and a clean sheet!

3-3-2-2 formation, goals were scored by S.Duffy (15), D.Ginsberg (76), whilst Tim, J Stothard and S.Zangari set the goals up, another of the Vauxhall youth players scored, but they are non San Marinese, so we don't want to talk about them :-)

    D.Ginsberg - S.Duffy
    G.Zank - S.Zangari
    Tim - J.Stothard - O.Brown
    M.Nevo- B.Simpson - D.John
    D.Spooner

B.Stevens came on as sub, L.Gonzalez was unused.

A couple more players rejected contracts before the next league games, these being F.Mahn and D.Tiny both stating the pay rise offered after playing a set number of games as the reason.

24.08.2010 - Blue Square Bet North: Stalybridge Celtic v Vauxhall Motors

2-0 winners in front of 316 fans meaning 3 wins out of 3 scoring 9 goals and letting none in. Sitting nicely in 3rd place, could Vauxhall go up this season? Or will clubs start to come and snap up the talent that is withing the squad?

The motormen changed back to 4-4-2 for this away game I.Rionocogo (9) and D.Blum (66) were the scorers, M.Nevo and man of the match D.Blum setting the goals up. W.Wonka picked up a yellow card.

    I.Rionocogo - D.Akinfenwa
    E.Wilkinsono - D.Solo - D.Blum - A.del Piero
    M.Nevo - A.Moridin - W.Wonka (c) - O.Brown
    F.Mahn

    Y.Dolle, J.Stothard, J.Emmens and B.Stevens all unused subs.

    -----

25.08.2010 - Group 8 Reserve Game: Vauxhall Motors v Stalybridge Celtic

18 fans turned out to see the Vauxhall second string smash Stalybridge 5-0 and keeping up the club amazing run of goals against any of the three teams.

4-4-2 formation, goals were scored by R.Ramirez (16,35), D.Jones (25), Tim (33) and O.Brown (45), assists by O.Brown, Tim who also got the man of the match award, B.Stevens, D.Jones and an individual effort. Once again, the players showed they also had a nasty side to them with a few bookings with J.Bowmanesi, R.Ramirez and B.Stevens all in the ref's book.

    D.Jones - R.Ramirez
    B.Stevens - J.Stothard - S.Zangari - J.Bowmanesi
    Tim - S.Sharkley - T.Hannigan - O.Brown
    S.Tynan

V.Meloni came on as sub, whilst S.Duffy and G.Zantk were unused subs.

I.Rionocogo, D.Blum and M.Nevo all turned down three contracts, whilst O.Brown put pen to paper and signed a pre-contract that will give him a three year deal.

28.08.2010 - Blue Square Bet North: Vauxhall Motors v Guiseley AFC

The amazing start to the season continues with a 3-0 win and move the Motormen top of the league, four league wins out of four and four clean sheets - what a team!

Continuing with a 4-4-2 formation and own goal (14) was followed by D.Akinfenwa (18)and D.Solo (55) goals W.Wonka, E.Wilkinsono and D.Solo set the goals up - D.Solo was also the man of the match in front of 125 fans, A.Moridin picked up a yellow card.

    I.Rionocogo - D.Akinfenwa
    E.Wilkinsono - D.Solo - D.Blum - A.del Piero
    M.Nevo - A.Moridin - W.Wonka (c) - O.Brown
    F.Mahn

Y.Dolle came on as sub whilst V.Meloni, D.Ginsberg and G.Zantk were unused subs.

Can the motormen make it 5 from 5 and a manager of a month award with a win away at Workington?

Five out of five! Get in, however we finely let a goal in! 219 fans watched win number 5 in a row away at Workington, another three players turned down contracts, this time L.Gonzalez, G.Alacarde and J.Bowmanesi.

30.08.2010 - Blue Square Bet North: Workington v Vauxhall Motors

The young lads showed the boss another side to them today, having come back from 1-0 down to beat a decent team expected to finish 4th in the league.

Keeping 4-4-2 formation Workington opened the scoring in the 11th minute before I.Rionocogo (20) and a pen by D.Ginsberg (36) made it 15 points from 15. O.Brown and E.Wilkinsono set the goals up, man of the match was D.Ginsberg

    I.Rionocogo - D.Ginsberg
    E.Wilkinsono - D.Solo - D.Blum - D.Tiny
    Tim- A.Moridin - W.Wonka (c) - O.Brown
    F.Mahn

Y.Dolle, V.Meloni and B.Stevens came on as subs whilst D.Akinfenwa was unused.

International games a day before the next league game could see the team struggle to beat Alfreton away from home.

    01.09.2010 - U19 International: San Marino v Holland

    The U21's played a 4-4-2.

Contracts were offered to J.Bowmanesi, D.Ginsberg, Y.Dolle who all turned them down, whilst B.Stevens was happy to sign up.

04.09.2010 - Blue Square Bet North: Alfeton Town v Vauxhall Motors

As expected, and with most of the lads still away on International duty the team went down to a 2-0 defeat, but stay top of the pile.

Setting up in a 4-4-2 formation the team really didn't play well, and there was nothing really to mention about the boys who were still behind overcoming injuries.

    L.McGiven - J.Wilson
    N.Prince - J.Egerton - D.Mannix - C.Mahon
    G.Alacarde - S.Sharkey - L.Morgan - A.Taylor

    05.09.2010 - U19 International: Sweden v San Marino

Get in! A 2-0 away win in Sweden with 555 fans turning out for what might be a sign of things to come, playing a final warm up International before a Euro U19 qualifying group which contains Lithuania, Sweden and N.Ireland the young 'Vauxhall' team turned out a great performance for their U19 National side.

Goals were scored by D.Akinfenwa (1) and D.Ginsberg (16), both great individual efforts whilst a yellow card was given to man of the match A.Moridin.

Keeping the 4-1-2-1-2 formation seemed a good choice.

    D.Akinfenwa - D.Ginsberg
    R.Ramirez
    D.Solo - S.Zangari
    V.Meloni
    M.Nevo- W.Wonka (c) - A.Moridin - O.Brown
    F.Mahn

J.Stothard came on as sub, whilst D.Jones, E.Wilkinsono and D.Blum were unused subs.

    Meanwhile back in Engand:

05.09.2010 - Group 9 Youth Game: Hinckley United v Vauxhall Motors

19 fans saw Hinckley take advantage of most players being on International duty to beat Vauxhall 3-1

3-3-2-2 formation, was used and again nothing really to note for our players playing and getting back to fitness.

    M.Kemp - S.Duffy
    J.Bent - G.MboaJ.Halliday - C.Green - L.Gonzalez
    D.John - B.Simpson - I.Dunbar

A number of contracts were offered out and either signed or turned down, S.Duffy was first to reject quickly followed by W.Wonka who also picked up a hernia and will miss around 6 weeks of the season. D.Jones also turned down the offer of a contract, whilst S.Zangari put pen to paper on a pre-contract signing him to the club for the next 3 years. Another injury, this time to J.Bowmanesi who like W.Wonka will be out for 6 weeks with a hernia

    08.09.2010 - Group 8 Reserve Game
: Accrington Stanley v Vauxhall Motors

A 3-2 victory in front of just 16 fans saw the second team keep up their unbeaten 100% run to the season.

Playing a 3-3-2-2 formation the goals were scored by D.Ginsberg (1), and S.Duffy (87) another player scored but he's not one of us so pffft. Assists by Tim, S.Zangari and J.Stothard whilst O.Brown got booked.

    D.Ginsberg (c) - J.Emmens
    S.Zangari - J.Stothard
    Tim - V.Meloni - L.Gonzalez
    M.Nevo - S.Sharkey - O.Brown
    K.Clancy

S.Duffy came on as sub, whilstG.Zantk was an unused sub.

Before the weekends match E.Talbott and J.Stothard both turned down contracts from Vauxhall.

11.09.2010 - Blue Square Bet North: Vauxhall Motors v Harrogate Town

Back to normal service after the Vauxhall youth players were back from International duty and a 3-0 win, Harrogate came to kick Vauxhall off the park and a match with 8 yellow cards and a red card between the two sides.

Kicking off with a 4-4-2 formation man of the match D.Akinfenwa hit a hat-trick (12, 24, 44) whilst also missing a penalty, A.Moridin, E.Wilkinsono and D.Blum set the goals up. Y.Dolle, G.Alacarde, I.Rionocogo and A.Moridin picked up yellow cards in this hard fought match.

    I.Rionocogo - D.Akinfenwa
    E.Wilkinsono - D.Solo - D.Blum - A.del Piero
    Y.Dolle - E.Talbott - A.Moridin - G.Alacarde
    F.Mahn

    V.Meloni, R.Ramirez and D.Jones all unused subs.

    11.09.2010 - Group 9 Youth Game
: Vauxhall Motors v Solihull Moors

17 fans turned out to see the Vauxhall youth team batter Solihull 4-0.

Like the first team, they set up in a 4-4-2 formation, D.Ginsberg (6), S.Duffy (11, 40) and S.Zangari the goalscorers with B.Stevens, J.Stothard and D.Ginsberg setting the goals up. Tim picked up an injury! A broken jaw meaning 5 weeks on the side-lines whilst J.Stothard twisted an ankle, 7 weeks before he will be back in training.

    D.Ginsberg - S.Duffy
    G.Zantk - S.Zangari - J.Stothard - B.Stevens
    Tim - M.Nevo - O.Brown - L.Gonzalez

15.09.2010 - Group 8 Reserve Game: Vauxhall Motors v Morecambe

Another win for the 2nd team, 3-0 at home in front of 13 fans!

4-4-2 with goals from D.Ginsberg (pen 4, 63) and D.Jones (17) meant an easy win. M.Nevo, B.Stevens and G.Zantk set the goals up and man of the match was D.Ginsberg.

    D.Jones - D.Ginsberg
    G.Zantk - S.Zangari - V.Meloni - B.Stevens
    M.Nevo - T.Hannigon - L.Morgan - L.Gonzalez
    K.Clancy

Been very busy with work - but will try and get all the questions answered that I have missed:

Omar plays the following positions: Defender (Right) and that's it :-), No one is looking to sign any of our players yet and Mike Nevo has a 7.60 rating for league games.

18.09.2010 - Blue Square Bet North: Blyth Spartans v Vauxhall Motors

4-0 To the Motormen, a really strong performance infront of 375 fans by who I think will be champions (depending on keeping the squad together).

    4-4-2 formation, 4 goals from 4 different players - I.Rionocogo (3), G.Alacarde (46), D.Akinfenwa (pen 60) and E.Wilkinsono (65). A yellow card for O.Brown, whilst G.Alacarde set a goal up (and man of the match), other players with assists were E.Wilkinsono and 2 by D.Solo.

    I.Rionocogo - D.Akinfenwa
    E.Wilkinsono - D.Solo - D.Blum - A.del Piero
    G.Alacarde - E.Talbott - A.Moridin - O.Brown
    F.Mahn

V.Meloni came on as sub, whilst Y.Dolle, R.Ramirez and B.Stevens were unused.

The F.A.Cup Second Qualifying Round was drawn with the Motormen being drawn away from home against Droylsden who play in the same league and currently sit in 19th postiosn. Cup football is cup football though and anything can happen.

I work on the transport/convoy side of things toonbalmy87, basically I organise the distribution of food, water, construction materials etc all round Afghanistan for the American DOD and British MOD. I have been here 2 years and I have 3 weeks left to do before I am home and spend much needed time with the family before deciding what to do next. I have a few quid saved and have an idea for a website that will in turn become a full time business but have no idea when it comes to coding and building the bloody thing (if anyone is good at building websites and creating software then send me a PM, I will give you a bit of an idea of what it is - you never know, you might be able to do it easily).

    22.09.2010 - Under 18s Cup 2nd Round: Vauxhall Motors v Notts County

26 people turned out to see the youth team hammer Notts County and set up a 3rd round tie against Morecambe at home. The young side not only destroyed the Nottingham club at football, they also kicked them off the park, picking up 4 yellow cards. Hard team, good team, can the young Vauxhall team go all the way?

Once again 4-4-2 formation saw goals from S.Zangari (1), D.Ginsberg (25), and a couple from Vauxhall home grown youths. M.Nevo set one up, B.Stevens 1 and a couple from another Vauxhall player. S.Duffy picked up a dislocated shoulder and will be out for around 3 months! Yellow cards for B.Stevens, O.Brown, M.Nevo and S.Zangari

    S.Duffy - D.Ginsberg
    G.Zantk - G.Mboa - S.Zangari - B.Stevens
    O.Brown - M.Nevo -
    B.Simpson - L.Gonzalez
    S.Graham

Can the first team win their cup match? Let's hope so and see how far the cup dream can run for!

25.09.2010 - FA Cup Second Qualifying Round: Droylsden v Vauxhall Motors

A very close game showed that league form went out of the window on cup football day, with the young gun's managing to sneak a 1-0 win.

4-4-2 formation, A.del Piero scored the all important goal in the 2nd minute, latching on to a G.Alacarde assist. O.Brown picked up the man of the match award, whilst D.Solo and I.Rionocogo picked up yellow cards.

    I.Rionocogo - D.Akinfenwa
    E.Wilkinsono - D.Solo - D.Blum - A.del Piero
    G.Alacrade - E.Talbott - A.Moridin - O.Brown
    F.Mahn

    R.Ramirez, B.Stevens, Y.Dolle and V.Meloni were all unsued subs.

    26.09.2010 - Group 9 Youth Game
: AFC Telford v Vauxhall Motors

Staying top of the league with a 2-0 win over AFC Telford, can the boys keep up the great work?

Still a 4-4-2 formation, G.Zantk (3) and O.Brown (23) scored the goals, man of the match L.Gonzalez and O.Brown set up the goals - L.Gonzalez and S.Zangari both were booked.

    S.Kemp - D.John

26.09.2010 - Group 8 Reserve Game: Vauxhall Motors v Burnley

43 fans turned out to see Burnley move top of the table with a 2-1 win over the home side.

4-4-2 with a goal from one of the Vauxhall side we wish not to name as they are not one of us! S.Zangari did set the goal up though and M.Nevo picked up the man of the match award.

Great news before the start of the next game - G.Alacrade was named Blue Square North player of the Month (September) The 16 year old left-back has been in outstanding form, making 3 dazzling apperances for his club over the past 4 weeks.

02.10.2010 - Blue Square Bet North
: Vauxhall Motors v Boston United

Either the young lads are getting tired or teams are starting to suss the young guns out, as a sneaky 2-1 win was the result in the latest home game.

4-4-2 formation, A.del Piero (pen 9) opened the scoring and sub D.Jones (79) hit the winner, E.Talbott set a goal up and got booked, whilst A.del Piero also set a goal up - man of the match was O.Brown.

    R.Ramirez- D.Akinfenwa
    E.Wilkinsono - D.Solo - D.Blum - A.del Piero
    G.Alacarde - E.Talbott - A.Moridin - O.Brown
    F.Mahn

V.Meloni and D.Jones came on as subs, whilst Y.Dolle, and B.Stevens were unused.

The coming month is going to be a busy one, and also one that could see Vauxhall slip up a little. Domestic and International games clash, what will the club and country agree upon? FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round clashes with International games, whilst the U19s have their European Championship Qualyfying Games this month too.

So you dont want to stay in the Armed Forces then I nearly joined but i slept in when i was suppose to go on basic training and one of the Recruitment office phoned me asked me where i was i was like in bed he said oh so you don't want to join the armed forces i was like nah!! anyways get home safe and enjoy your time back in lovely England

Anyways ... looks like Gonzalez is starting to play well hopefully he will keep his form up

Glad to see G.Z is finally getting some practice, if only in the youth/reserve setup. He's contributing there too...soon as some room is made in the main team he can contribute more

"Mr. Sub" Meloni had a good increase in CA, at least. Great updates miller!

    Be safe, man!

The San Marino U19s lost their opening Euro Qualifying Game, with no Vauxhall players in action - have they been saved for U21 or Senior action?

06.10.2010 - Group 8 Reserve Game: Macclesfield Town v Vauxhall Motors

A narrow 2-1 win in front of 23 fans saw the 2nd team back to winning ways.

4-4-2 formation saw two goals for R.Ramirez (15,31) and the man of the match award.

    J.Emmens - R.Ramirez
    N.Prince - K.Smith - D.Mannix - T.Grice
    L.Dames - J.Wilson - M.King - A.Taylor
    K.Clancy

    07.10.2010 - U21 International: Hungary v San Marino

A right tonking for the U21s as most of the Vauxhall boys stayed back in England for domestic football, 522 fans saw the home side with 5-1

Playing a 4-5-1 formation, the young team never looked like being in the game, a shock goal from S.Kemp (3) was the only bright point in the game. Set up by B.Stevens, this is a game that most players will want to wipe from the memory bank.

    M.Stefanelli
    G.Zantk - N.Toccaceli - S.Zangari - G.Carpinelli - B.Stevens
    M.Nevo - L.Lazzarini - R.Ragini - S.Kemp
    M.Francioni
