Does anyone know if they get stopped from playing in the champions league second season on FM?

Not at the moment they won't as nothing has been decided in real life yet.

They are def banned from Europe next season, a club in admin cannot apply for a license to play in Europe and the date for doing that was in March, they missed this and as such will not be allowed to play next year.

They have applied to play though and SPL/UEFA haven't refused them entry yet although its probably just a matter of time.

From the BBC webiste back in Feb,

If Rangers qualify for Europe next season, will they be allowed to play in European competition?

That depends. If they come out of administration as the same entity, their licence to compete in Uefa competitions would be issued by the Scottish Football Association, provided they had exited administration by the end of March.

Failure to exit administration by then would mean they would not have a licence and wouldn't be able to compete in Europe next season.

If they come out of administration as a different entity, their license would lapse and they would have to apply for a new one. It would then be up to the SFA and Uefa to decide if a new licence can be granted.

They missed this deadline and as such if Rangers finish second this year, as it looks like they will, our 3rd place team, most likely Motherwell will go into their slot.

At risk of going off topic, I'm sure there is a thread on Scotland's shame in the Football Section for such discussion.
That said, Gers missed the deadline, the SPL haven't yet made a definitive statement regarding European football yet, which is disgusting.
I agree UEFA have said, which is why its bizarre the SFA haven't said anything, Im sure they have some Gers-sympathisers amongst their ranks trying to work out a way round the UEFA ruling.

My quote still stands, it doesnt matter if they have applied, begged, or anything, UEFA have stated that no club is giving any special accomodation for applying for Europe, they missed deadlines and as such cannot play in Europe. To quote UEFA:

Yes it does and I have no doubts that Rangers won't be in Europe next season but as it stands currently neither the SPL or UEFA have point blank refused them entry.

Its up to the SPL at the end of the season as to which clubs are put forward for European competition and if they choose to put forward Rangers then and only then will UEFA step in and back up the warnings they have issued.

Until either the SPL don't put forward Rangers or UEFA steps in to refuse entry do we have an answer 100%.

It deffo is maybe not for Rangers but on my Brentwood save Everton were banned from europe.

There's precedent with RCD Mallorca being refused entry to the Europa League two seasons ago as they were under bankruptcy proceedings.
