Kit Editing Help

I know I'm probably in the wrong section for this... But can someone point me in the right direction. I would like to edit my kit so that it changes in the 3D match view. I downloaded some custom kits and it seems to work, yet it doesn't change the 3D kits at all!

You can edit them in the game editor and start a new game or you can use FMRTE to edit kits in a saved game.
