Incompatible on HTC Desire HD A9191?

I've tried to buy the handheld version, but I get told that the game is incompatible on my HTC Desire HD A9191. I thought it should be compatible so I don't understand this. Is it because I live in China for the moment? Because I had the same problems when I wanted to download the full game too. I've tried through VPN tunnels in different countries as well.

I'm guessing its because the store realizes you are in China and that region doesn't support the store, I'm afraid I've not have direct experience of this situation before.
