Default From Division 11 to the Prem?

Right then. I've downloaded the database which takes me into the depths of the English game, I'm starting out in Division 11 and making this into the last FM12 game i do so it could go on for years until i manage to burst into the Football League!

I've decided to take over a team called South Normanton Athletic who play in the Division 11 Central Midlands South. I live in South Normanton which is a tiny little village in Derbyshire!

Wish me luck! I'll need it.

    Season 2011/2012 - Central Midlands South - 1st (Promoted)
    Season 2012/2013 - Northern Counties East Division 1 - 2nd (Promoted Via Play-Offs)
Season 2013/2012 - Northern Counties East Premier Division - 1st - Northern County League Cup Winners

From Division 11 to the Prem

South Normanton Athletic F.C. is a football club based in South Normanton, near Alfreton, Derbyshire, England. They play their home games at the Exchem Sports Arena on Lees Lane. They joined the Central Midlands League in 1990, and were promoted to the Northern Counties East League First Division in 2003. Although they were promoted to the Premier Division in 2007, the club folded at the end of the 2007-08 season as the club was unable to find a new committee. However, in June 2009 South Normanton Athletic reformed after a new committee was found.

As you can see all the players here are currently on amateur contracts and this is what you'll be season for a good 4 years or so!

Just tried to get some money here but as you can see them teams was actually valued at "Very Large Rep" so it's pretty hard to get any money through with friendlies as well! It's going to be a long few years until i manage to reach BSS/BSN.

A really good start to division 11. There's been a hell of a lot of goals scored all ready, and conceded. I still have no idea how this season will pan out!

Great start. James Gilpin is a great goalkeeper for a level 11 club. I have used him up to level 7 before and still put in good performances. Good luck with this.

Not a very good month at all but who said it was going to be easy? I'm starting to see exactly how the league works. What makes it hard is only having 3 subs so if you get a injury which you do near enough every game then you have players in that position who don't play there, which costs you the match, This was the case in all of my 3 losses. On the plus side I'm still 2nd which is a good thing.

So only two game this month but two great wins against teams that was 2nd and 4th. I've finally hit the top of the league! I should be looking at improving my defence if i can soon though!

A fantastic month and making a big gap at the top, a promotion seems very likely at the moment!

Well this is the league I'm in this season but I've never heard of any of these clubs! I'm so happy that I've managed to turn Semi-Proffesional.

Right, need to clear a few things up.. Now I've turned Semi-Pro I'm able to offer players part-time contracts which means nobody can sign them from me like they did when we was Obscure. I've risked it and gave all my players contracts so you can see from the finances shot I'm way over budget on my wages i just hope this don't come back to haunt me in the long run.

I've kept a lot of players from last season and just offered them contracts. It seems strange but now i got promoted i cant get players as good as when i was a amateur club, seems pretty strange! The reason i kept most of the players is because I'm 4-6 to win the league, the message said i had a really good chance of winning it.

I can tell already that my defence isn't good enough but there's no other players that good enough out there so I'll just have to stick to it! Never the less it was still a great first month!

Absolutely horrible month, i think I've underestimated this league massively. I'm going to look at releasing most of the players in January, there will be a big update next month hopefully with some more signings!

It's took me all season to get the team playing how they are, another fantastic month. Teams above me seem to be winning as well though, theres 4 games left and I'm 5th with 4 points a drift from the top. It's going to be a long 4 games.

I feel hard done by that i didn't get the automatic spot after the amazing run I've been on through out 2013. I've got the ability to win the play-offs and we go into the play-offs from a 5 win streak.

    Onto the play-offs!

So I've gone all foreign on my team this season, all I'm doing is going to player search > and putting tackling, then going down from 15. It's proving to work! I'm predicted to finish 5th according to the club overview. That was before i made any signings though

A decent start to the season only losing 1 in the league and already up to 3rd in the table. I'm not bothered about any of the cups, I'd rather be knocked out of them all in the first round so i can concentrate on getting promoted again!

    England doesn't have a Division 11.

You have a hell of a lot of foreigners for a lowly non league club.

Another pretty good month, i think the top 3 will be how it is at the end of the season. I actually wish i wasn't in the cups way too many games for my players which could effect the league games.

A brilliant month considering how many games i had this month. Up 1 place from last month and still trying to catch Grimsby Borough.

Another unbeaten month and I've finally hit the top of the league, lets hope we can stay at the top now! I have Grimsby Borough in January so it will be interesting to see what i can do against them.

Stepped off the gas this month in the league with them two losses, probably due to the fact that I'm still in the two cups!

Just a few more wins and a third consecutive promotion should be in my hands! I'm looking forward to it. C'mon Normo.

Three consecutive promotions!!! We all know it's not that hard at this stage to get promoted, Once i get near the BSS/BSN that's when the real challenge will start but never the less I'm still delighted with what I've achieved and I've now my first cup in three seasons to that list! I still have no idea how far away i am from the BSS/BSN league but I'm sure I'll get there eventually.

You know them players you fall in love with? well this player has been with me since he was 15 and his value has shot up in the last season from 1.5k to 28k! I've got hold of him till 2017 as he's just accepted a new contract and i know for a fact he's already good enough for the BSP!

I could make a hell of a profit in the future when he's 19/20 which could be vital for the future of South Normanton! What you think to him?

Jamie seems to be able to post frequent monthly updates but can't answer my question about the breakdown of foreigners in his league.

it came across as though you were trying to dampen his successes and look for an arguement so I dont blame him for not answering your question.

I'm not after an argument. I simply find it unrealistic a team so far down the English league system could sign so many foreigners. Jamie claimed that most other teams do also, so I asked for more detail.

At the end of the day, it's his game and he can play it how he likes. If he exploits the game though, then I have no interest in it but I'm not going to harrass him about it. If all the teams are doing it, then I suggest there is an issue with the database he is using when it comes to realism.

If Jamie doesn't even respond, then that is plain ignorance, and I don't like that. Being purposely ignorant is downright rude.

The guy doesnt owe you an explanation for anything he does, if you dont like it, dont read his thread. Myself and Im sure many others are enjoying following it though.

To be honest if you came on my thread demanding answers with your arrogant attitude I would ignore you as well

How is it not realistic? these guys could be living in england and could easily be signed by him.

Did you even read my posts? Where have I demanded an answer? I asked a question and then stated that Jamie chose to ignore my question rather than either answer it or acknowledge it and say he did not want to answer.
There is a huge difference between politely saying he doesn't want to answer and simply ignoring it. In the first instance, that is fine and I would have absolutely no issue with it. Being ignorant is down right rude.

If the players in question are living or based in England then it is of course realistic. As Jamie has not offered any explanation, then it hardly seems realistic he has so many foreigners in his squad when he is still two leagues below even the Conference North/South.

I am with Nobby on this. Just answer the question, this is a forum and his topic and if questions are asked they should be answered.

Its his game but he made a statement which he has not backed up.
