Default What Nationailty Dominates Your Squad?

Apart from the Nation you are based at obviously. ;)

In my current Sutton United game I have a complete mish-mash of different nations all with just one representative, apart from Chile. I have two Chileans BOTH Worldwide reputation strikers. They also happen to be captain and vice-captain at our club ;)

25 year old striker Osvaldo Villalon is valued at £35.5m, 57 goals in 80 games.
30 year old striker Julio Cesar Cordova is valued at £24.5m, 143 goals in 210 games.

Do you find yourself just taking anyone who is quality or do field a nation of Brazilians? ;)

My squads are typically full of South Americans and Eastern Europeans. Simple reason is that players from the major Western European nations expect to receive salaries that are far greater than their abilities and their clubs demand obscene transfer fees so I refuse to buy them out of principal. I hate not signing local players as it's what I love to see in real life, but it's just impossible to be successful and buy players from these leagues unless you're managing a massive club with huge transfer and wage budgets.

well I'm Arsenal so I'm allowed to be proud of 8 Englishmen in my 25 man squad but the other dominant nations are Netherlands and Italy with 4 apiece and 3 brazilians before the rest are 1s and 2s

I adjusted Brazilian league to have no foreign restrictions in my pre-patch savegame and ended up having 5 Colombian first teamers and also a Peruvian one.

But Brazilians were still the majority of my squad, although I preferred to sign other South Americans as they are cheaper.

My Basingstoke side in 2021 currently only has two English first-teamers; a right-back who is 21 and a centre-back who is 19. Both key players. Got another English CM breaking through, but he's only 17. Also got a 23-year old CM who was born in England, has a very English name (Ben McCabe), but he came through Juventus' youth system and opted to play for Italy.

At the moment French players dominate squad, though I have a nice little mix. I'm trying to bring as many English players through as possible but I'm having to rely on my own intake as other English clubs demand extortionate fees for their players. I'm also finding a distinct lack of good attacking English players, which is tough... I enjoy getting obscure nationalities in my intake, and I had a very promising lad from St Pierre & Miquelon come through only for the game to crash. I then had a Japanese guy appear for me who looks like he's gonna be good, so looking forward to seeing him break into the first team. My goal is to get a North Korean first teamer though

Next time you start a save enter you nationality as North Korean and you will have North Korean youths come through your academy in your youth intake each year

Ha. I have 15 nationalities in my squad but interestingly no two players of the same one, the local Russians excluded. If I roll back time 6 months the answer is Brazil - had two of those for a while there.

Last save I wound up with Jelle Vossen, Radja Nainggolan, Hazard, Defour and Axel Witsel on my team, Belgium for the win

My Truro side was practically my brazil side, I had like 15 Brazillians or something stupid like that, and they were the best in their position typically.

Everywhere apart from England really. The disappointing thing is I would rather buy home-grown but there is a lack of English talent in my save and the ones that do exist want ridiculous wages as already mentioned.

I'm managing in Australia, so I'm only allowed to register five foreigners, which is everyone without Australian or New Zealand citizenship. So, although the word "dominate" doesn't seem appropriate, I do have two players from Ivory Coast.

This isn't my team but the Serie A as a whole is starting to get dominated by Africans, when I'm home I'll look further into it.

Chelmsford save is 2015/16. currently in championship after 4 successive promotions. Nationalities are:

    2 Austrian
    1 Chinese
    1 Belgium
    4 Denmark
    3 English
    1 Finland
    1 Iceland
    4 Northern Ireland
    1 Norway
    2 Ireland
    2 Scottish

Majority are from UK and Ireland regions, with most foreign additions coming from Scandinavia. So much talent there at low costs. Try to keep the squad as British as possible but its un-realistic with my budgets when so many other clubs raid the decent locals.

Playing as Man Utd currently in season 2038/39. Nationalities are:

    3 Argentina
    3 Brazil
    1 Cezch
    2 English
    8 French
    7 Italian
    3 Portugese
    3 Spanish

My domestic player loyalty for the first squad is poor. Mainly buy South American teenagers and train them up in the Under 18s till they are ready for first team action.

Second season with Southampton, and the first team squad breaks down like this:

3 English - 2 from the original squad
    3 Spanish
    3 Italian
    2 Norwegians
    2 Brazilians
    2 Argentinians
    2 Mexicans
1 each of South Africa, Iceland, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Columbia, Denmark, and France.

On the youth/developmental side, it is all over the map. A large number of the incoming youth are from non-EU countries, since they seemed to generate the best talent this season. I have 4 Brazilians lined up to arrive over the next couple years, for example.

I've always wanted to try and take a side to the top of the Premiership with a squad made up of Brits. In season 8 I took over struggling West Ham in the Championship as they have a good youth set up so I can churn out heaps of good youngsters. I set about flogging the huge number of foreigners that littered their squad.

I'm still rebuilding the squad for season 9. However, I now have around 15 British & Irish players, 2 Brazilians, 2 lads from Slovakia and a Frenchman. My youth team also has around 6 or 7 very promising English lads.

Later in the game it seems a little easier to sign newgens around 20-23 years of age that once had potential, but never made the grade with their Premiership club. Not sure if they'll make the grade if / when we get promoted.

Unfortunately my Board want me to win the Championship. It might be a step too far.

Managing Rubin Kazan in Russia, in 2016 and I have the following distribution in the first team:

10 x Russians (mostly due to the foreigner rules here, but I do have one excellent youth the came through the club's facilities )
3 x Argentinians (this is the nationality that I always kind of favor)
2 x Ghanians (very, very good players there)
1 x Belgian, Ecuadorian, French, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Latvian, Lithuanian, Romanian, Ivorian.

    At Spurs in summer 2017:

    1 Argentinian
    1 Brazilian
6 English (1 Jamaican by birth)
2 French (1 Senegalese by birth)
    1 German
    1 Nigerian
    1 Portuguese
    1 Scottish
    1 South African
2 Spanish (1 Argentinian by birth, 1 Moroccan by birth)
    1 Swiss
    1 Welsh

Quite pleased to have 8 British in the squad, but I would like more, it's just hard to find them at the right price.

I have only one Englishman in the squad and I don't feel bad about it.

    Crystal Palace:
    2 x Brazilian
    1 x Bulgarian
    1 x Canadian
    5 x English
    2 x French
    1 x German
    1 x Guinea-Bissau
    2 x Holland
    1 x Iceland
    1 x Italy
    1 x Ivory Coast
    3 x Portugal

That's not including a few other bit part players. Should probably start raiding Spain soon. The sad thing is most of the English players are backup at the moment and I never seem to get any decent English re-gens.

For some reason I only have a domestic player rating of 30%, 10 years of concentrating on developing German youth apparently means nothing.

In my Swansea team, a fair few seasons in I've got a fair few young Welsh players coming through, who are dominating a little. I tend to have a very small first team squad as I use youth players to fill up the team when I have injuries or suspensions.

    9 Welsh (1 of those is Welsh/English)
1 American (Who is also Ghanian/English)
    1 Spaniard
1 South African (Who is also a Dutchie)
    1 Dutchie
    4 English
    1 Brazilian
    1 Croatian
    1 Austrian

My starting lineup from those players, when all fit consists of

    1 Dutch
    1 Austrain
    1 American
    2 English
    5 Welsh
    1 Brazilian

Currently managing Lierse in the Belgian Pro League, coming off my first Manager of the Year award. At this point, there is only one Belgian on the senior squad. I've had great luck poaching young and talented players from Mexico.

    5x Mexico
    3x Brazil
    2x Algeria
    2x Portugal
    2x Argentina
    1x Angola
    1x Belarus
    1x Belgium
    1x Czech Republic
    1x Iraq
    1x Guatamala
    1x Finland
    1x Scotland
    1x Zimbabwe
    1x Nigeria

Playing club Brugge in Belgium. Season 2024/2025. Since best Belgians get poached by big European clubs, I have to focus on cheap talent. Most of my players come from Argentina, Italy and Brazil. I also have a German, French, Welsh, Croatian and Gabonese running around.

right now, i don't have more than 1 player of the same nationality in my entire club except for Italian of course

my foreigners are Eriksen (danish), Lamela (argie), Son Heung-Min (korean), David Pizarro (chile), Julio Sergio (brazil), Rajkovic (serb), Nego (french), Branescu (romanian), Jose Angel (spanish). everyone else is Italian, even my regen youngsters

back in FM10 though i always wanted to build a Chile team though for AS Roma.... back then Vidal and Sanchez were still young and affordable. and Humberto Suazo was in his prime. and i would have Isla/Medel/Pizarro/Tello/Carmona/Valdivia of course. would've been a class team
