rockpie Posted March 29, 2012 Share Posted March 29, 2012 Alberto Briodini and Ruben Serrano have only a few things in common - a dream to be the greatest football manager of all time, an opportunity... and a birthday. 26-09-1992, to be exact. Born in a small provincial town in Southern Italy, Briodini fell in love with the beautiful game at a young age but holds no affiliation to any particular club. He supports only those who play his type of football. He recently got his coaching badges despite only having ever played at an amateur level and, being Italian, is focused on a rock-steady defence and slow passing, possession football. He has taken the job at Serie B minnows Albinoleffe and is simply glad to have the opportunity to hone his skills, but of course he knows he is more than capable of transforming this team if he is given the time. Like any manager though, he knows this is just a job and would happily use this experience as a stepping stone to greater things, or will he fall in love with his first club and guide them all the way to the top? Ruben Serrano was born in the heart of the Spanish capital, Madrid. Since he was a boy he has been an avid fan of all kinds of football thanks to his dad following teams all around Europe. Due to this large amount of exposure to different styles, he was able to take his time and appreciate many types of football, but being from Madrid, he simply cannot stand Barcelona or the way they play. Stupid little intricate passes. For Ruben, it's about quick, direct, pressure football. Of course, he is a Real Madrid fan, but it is not his dream to manage his favoured club. Instead, his dream is to manage the team who beats them one day in the Champions League final. With no experience in management, and only a semi-professional playing career behind him, he has taken the job at Alcoyano. Will he be a success? And if he is, how long will he stay there? Only time will tell. The challenge is to start a game controlling both Briodini and Serrano, guide their careers from being complete unknowns to the 2 greatest managers ever and, finally, figuring out who IS the greatest ever.
