Someone at SI, is there any changes to the ME? I have a very well working tactic at the moment on 12.1.1 and I am that happy with it I am sceptical about downloading the recent update.

If there was going to be an update, they wouldn't tell us. But it's very unlikely there will be. If there was to be another one, it would be because something catastrophic had been discovered.

I am in the same boat re the ME. There was very little change (other than AI corners and stopping the DM heading the ball over the oppo defence for clear one on ones. AFAIK).

I think it's better this way, rather than have to redesign a new tactic after every patch, the ME should only be changed every version, unless there is very obvious bug.

Quick question, as I've used the editor to change all the competition names to their real ones for the last patch, will I have to go back and do it all again for the new database, or can I use the same editor file when starting a new game?

It's not that simple. The first thing you do when you see a thread making it clear that the patch is release could quite easily be start the game. Then you see nothing downloads, but you might not necessarily look at the other thread unless it occurs to you that it might explain that the patch will be released in a couple of hours. In all the excitement, I assumed that that thread would only contain a list of changes etc. I intended to look at it, but thought I'd get the game loaded first.

As long as you use the same file it should still work with new patch.

Editor changes are driven by the 'Unique ID' of people/clubs/comps and they very rarely change between updates, so you should be fine.

England quite possibly, Chelsea most probably not. As Chelsea only sacked their manager the other day and I saw Miles tweeting something asking for clubs to stop sacking/letting/changing their managers .

There was a league-specific issue where Turkish top division wins weren't counted after the first season. Has this bug been fixed?

Some players will have be updated/adjusted, yes. Not all players though and it would have been depending on what that player's club researcher and other researchers think.

It hasn't changed as such, it is just that in different areas of the code the age limit did not match. This meant that it was possible for players to be recommended as a Tutor when they were too young to be one.

The age limit now matches everywhere and is 24.

If the relevant researcher thinks it warranted then a +/- CA/PA adjustment would be included

FM12 can only be played through Steam, even if you've bought a physical copy.

Starting to think it would have been wiser to not post about the patch until it had been confirmed it was downloading form the Steam servers, anyone care to give odds on this thread being closed soon?

It's not stupid, it clearly states today. So they don't know yet.

Just be patient folks, it has to populate all the Steam servers so will be a while for some while others will be quicker.

Don't even know how that would even be possible. I'd assume you lot release the patch onto steam so how would people be able to update it if you haven't released it yet. Unless someone released a leak, but I ddoubt anyone is that stupid.
