    Default New Laptop

I have been noticing that there have been a lot of posts on laptop specs for FM recently so thought I few of you may be able to help me.

Basically, Im going to be buying a new Laptop soon and Im unsure on the Specs I will need. It has to be able to run FM with many leagues loaded and the 3D match engine on the highest quality with no lag. Will also need to run other high end games with no lag, games such as Skyrim, Saints Row etc. I have a budget of around 500 pounds (preferably a bit lower), so i was wondering if any of you guys could help me shop online for the best deal as I really have no clue what I need. Also, Im not really bothered where it is from (ebay, pc world, tesco etc).

    Thanks

check out http://www.dell.co.uk/outlet ....refurbished pcs that come as good as new
for 500 quid you could get a xps 1702 i5 2330 with an nvidia gforce gt550m / gt555m with at least 4gb ram... 250gb hd space and above.

there all single machines tho and they update daily around 2 - 3 pm..... just checked and theres 1 i5 2430m 4gb ram 500gb hd for 526 inc vat and del...be around 700 on there main site..

if someone else buys it though its gone but there will be more updated in the next days etc......

goto dell outlet....then refurbished home and home office....then on the left click check avaialibility and pricing for all laptops....then on the left section called family scroll to bottom and tick xps L702x... then top right sort price low to high...

ive ordered at least 10 of these machines for friends / family / customers and they have all be fine...... might hav ethe tinisiet of tiny scratch on the hinge or something....still get full year warranty.

for 600 odd you could get i7 and samish spec everythign else

there is a i7 2670qm... 4gb ram...500gb hd gt 550m for 580 inc vat and del at the moment to.

look for something similar spec wise... would definately recommend and i5 or i7 and a dedicated gfx card if you plan on playing skyrim etc

I hope you don't mind me hijacking the thread, my question is similar. I'm about to buy new laptop, I was wondering what are the most important specifics that I should look for in order to be able to play FM with many leagues loaded and active?

For many leagues loaded, means more data, and that means more data PROCESSING, so you need a good fast processor.

For you I'd recommend the i7 processor.

Something with similar specs to this

    http://www.dabs.ie/products/lenovo-i...78140000&src=3

If you can get the i7 2670.

Next on the line would be i7-2640M or the i7-2760QM which make the computer a bit more expensive.

6gb of RAM is Plenty - in fact 4gb would do but don't go below 4gb.

Graphics card in that laptop - http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-...M.41715.0.html

So it's a pretty good machine for €840.

Again, look for similar specs. I use Dabs as it's a fast way of selecting specific parts.

i got the laptop mentioned earlier the hp pavillion dv6, except for £550. i5 processor and 6gb ram. The system 3d rating for fm is 1.5 stars and the computer performance rating is 5 stars on fm. it has been perfect for me.

for your requirements you wont be able to get that kind of laptop for £500 pounds but this is the best option if you will push your budget.

it will be fine....and is a good price for brand new.... can get refurbished from dell and a 17 inch screen for about 380 - 400 though...and thats with an i5 which is a nice step up from an i3 and for 550 - 600 could nab yourself a 17 inch screened i7 which will be next step up from i5. and is also quad core which i believe fm actually takes advantage of.
