No Reserve Games? Blackpool

Started a new game as Blackpool.

Got to October and just realised my reserve team are not entered into any reserve competition.

Will this be rectified at the end of the season? Do I have to do anything specific?

They probably haven't entered this season.

You should get a choice at the start of each season but tbh you don't really need a reserve team and I never bother anymore.

you do not have them in the first season. i got promoted and was offered a reserve team.

Yeah this is exactly the reason why they don't have a reserve team in game. The same with Spurs and Man City amongst others.

Thinking about it, Blackpool tend to arrange BCD friendlies on weeknights for the players who havent played during the week against other reserve teams. Is this possible to do on FM? Haven't really had a look before.

Not properly behind closed doors, but you can just arrange friendlies for your reserves if they are not entered in a league.

I just set my AssMan to arraneg the friendlies, and hes forever arranging them with clubs throughout the season with Blackpool.

I never bother with a reserve league now. A couple of friendlies a month is all it takes to keep players fit and it's a lot easier to do this year.

my reserves won the reserve league as well. which i found funny
a few friendlys never works, some players need to be brought back from injury. it is a pain bringing up your main striker from an injury via bench appearances.

I'm sure I've asked this before and gotten no answer, but I'll give it a go again. Does anyone know the costs involved of entering your team into the reserve league? Common sense tells me that there will be costs involved in transporting the team, ect. but are there other expenses that people mightn't expect (registration costs or something)?
