Just found Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima (That's "Fat" Ronaldo to everybody who doesn't know) at the ripe old age of 38 who's bagged himself a job as a Scout for Wolves!
Any one else found a player of such stature with an odd job?

Ronaldo as a scout for a club surely is weird... In RL , he is now the agent of lots of awesome brazilians players ( Neymar, Lucas Moura, Leandro Damião.... )
Steven Gerrard is Man City youth Coach in 2016 on mine......as if!!
Emile Heskey has a job as a 'player' at Wigan in 2015!?!? Not seen many people turning their hand to playing football at such a late age.
Titus Bramble as a player in 2012
emile heskey... at aston villa in 2013
not in FM12 but in real life
chris kamara at welshpool

Fernando Torres as the Everton assman in FM10
Frank Lampard - Manchester United Youth Coach!
Alan Shearer - Sunderland Manager!
Mark Viduka as part of my staff of the Papua New Guinea national team
In FM11 I had Gianluigi Buffon take over my second division Croatian club as chairman in about 2013. It turned into a very long-term save and I have to say he's one of the best I've ever worked with.
Weird; I saw Gianluigi Buffon take over Russian second division side Metallurg Lipetsk in my long-term FM11 save. It was very early in the save - about 2012 or so. By the time I retired it in the late 2020s, he was still in charge.
Speaking of, Wayne Rooney ended up as a youth coach at Dinamo Moscow in the same save, before eventually joining manager Dimitar Berbatov as a first-team coach at Rubin Kazan.![]()
Cristiano Ronaldo in 2024 at the Olympic diving events.
I've had some strange managerial careers in old games, but the best so far in my current game has to be Rivaldo lighting it up at the age of 40 for Exeter. I only noticed because he broke the record for the oldest player to play in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
John Terry became a youth coach at Spurs when he finished playing - then he became the manager of Spurs (I was so annoyed cos I went for the job as well as they're my team and wanted to move to them asap on my career save) - he lasted about 4 months before getting sacked - then I got the job - great stuff! Why we would ever have appointed him is bizarre to me anyway!
Hardly a legend, but was surprised to find Faustinio Asprilla listed as a scout for some second tier club in Argentina. He had 20/20 in terms of judging stats, so I signed him up.
well, david james just broke the oldest player record in the FA cup for appearing with torquay (where he is also a coach)
he is like 43
In FM09 Marco Di Vaio became a coach at my Nott'm Forest side before moving on 3 years later to take the Cardiff manager job, guiding them to promotion in his first season and a 5th placed finish in his second!
Kaka:
Retired to become a youth coach at Sunderland, then took the managers job and failed spectacularly. Is now managing...Northampton
Kaka is Man Utd manager in 2021, just won his first Premier League title!
Mario Jardel nearly signed to me when I was managing Olimpia Elblag in first season.
Roberto Carlos was chairman of FC Dallas in FM11.
Raul, Kaka, Louis Saha and Gerrard are 4½ star coaches at Brøndby (which I'm managing)
On an old save of FM10 I found Edwin Van der Sar had become Chairman at Blackpool by 2012.
Juan Sebastian Veron is the Assistant Manager at BSS Wealdstone in 2014
Buffon took over Juventus! I found that pretty amazing.
Rivaldo at Millwall. Season 1, January 31st. :0
Maybe not so strange but Xavi assistant manager at Man City.
Marco Van Basten left managing Holland on a version a long time ago to take up the job of Rushden & Diamonds manager in the BSP.
