FM12 Patches/Updates

Hi all,

Just wondering when the next FM12 patch/update is likely to be? (roughly).

Are we talking mid-February for a transfers update?

It will be after the end of transfer window, thats as much as anyone will know at the moment.

It varies every year, so there's no point in guessing when it'll be. They may not even release the update until May. They have to test it and make sure things work and no problems occur. You'll know when there is an update as Steam will update(if you have auto updates) and SI will announce it on here.

Doesnt really matter what date it was last year, plus it was slightly late last year if i remember correctly, like i say there will not be anything until after the transfer window has closed, most likely mid to the end of feb.

Well I'm not going on FM until there is a new update available, so I won't update as I won't be on it, also its on offline mode because I'm on a mac and FM12 crashes when its online.

8/3/11, 1/3/10 and 26/2/09 are the last three release dates for post transfer window patches. Not that they guarantee anything for this year.

And that includes January Transfers?

Yes if they are releasing a new update it usually contains a database update and fixes.

If we have already started a game by then, will the update sans transfers(obviously) still work or will a new save be required for the patch to work?

Data base updates will require a new game to take effect.

I'll give this another shot once January has passed.

Shame really, I'll now have to go a month without playing until a decent patch is released.
