Our form over the season was quite indifferent, we would win a few and then lose a few and there was a while we were floating around the relegation zone but we were never far off the top half of the table and a win booted us up the table which made it look like we had a half decent season but overall it wasnt the best because I knew we were better than that. I had high hopes for the cup after we beat Alcaíns 5-0 even though they were a non league team but but Paredes showed us how football was ment to be played and out we went. I noticed how stupid the promotion system is, win the league and then go into a play-off with only 2 going up, makes me think we could be stuck in this division for a long time.

Star Player

Maxym Borovets - Best preformer of a pretty bad bunch but he is young and I believe he will be a top player soon.

After the first 4 games of the season I didnt have much hope of us challenging at the top but we went on a 12 game unbeatin run which shot us up the table to top spot and we stuck there for the season, around January we started to pull away and I was pretty confident we had it in the bad, I was quite wrong we let the other teams to catch up and it wasnt until the 2nd last game of the season we mathematically secured promotion, Torreense only needed us to lose the last game and to win 18-0 themselves. The end to the season was madness but I was glad we won the league and headed into the play-offs and I wa full of confidence until we lost our first game 4-1 and the second 3-0 and scraped a draw in our third game and I pretty much gave up and accepted the fact we wouldnt win our last game and therefore not promoted but the team pulled a fantatic 3-0 win outta no where so despite only winning one game we were promoted. We had a great time in the cup, all our games were at home and there was only 1 game we struggled in and we were unlucky to lose out to Porto, we really put it upto them. There was a lot of times we fielded a whole starting 11 and full bench of non-Portuguese, which i pretty cool.

Star Player

Avtandil Bratchuli - Rock in defence and and poped up with 15 goals from defence which is amazing.

Next Season

Dont know what to expect goin into the Second League but I reckon we will be easily able to stay up so the aim is mid-table

Good luck! Will your revolution be as successful as the overthrow of the oppressive regime in the 70's? Hopefully!!

Ill only be aiming to overthrow Porto, Benfica and Sporting then maybe ill go for the government :p

15 goals from defense?! Thats a fantastic return on a defender. Good job topping the league, too :)

Never seen anything like it. Delighted I got out of that league, seriously ridiculous promotion system.

Before the season started we turned professional which was good news. Kicked off with the League Cup first which I was hoping we could cause some sort of upset in but the first 2 games were disappointing but we managed to pull out a win in the last game to qualify for the 2nd phase but Leira were too good for us. I was dissapointed to be knocked out of the Portuguese Cup, we hit the post twice against Paços de Ferreira, if only they had of went in. Nothing much to say about the league except we preformed well above what I expected and we were never in danger of relegation, we were the overachievers for the season, and im delighted to finish ahead of Penafiel after them absolutely walking the promotion play-off last season.

Star Player

Maxym Borovets - He had a good season, he was the top the performer in the league.

Next Season

Have a season like we just had, establish ourselves at this level.

Well the league was good fun, after playin Boavista and Leixões, 2 high fliers in the Liga ZON Sagres, and not been embarrassed by them had me thinking that we could cope in the Primeira Liga and before I knew what wa happening we were challenging for promotion and we sat in third for allmost the whole season. I thought we had throwin away our chance of being promoted in March when we fell 5 points behind Santa Clara but they tried their best not to get promoted and we got back into the race but then we went one better than Santa Clara and tried not to be promoted and we wernt! After being third most of the season we lost our last game and dropped to 6th so it dosent look like we made any progres at all but we did really! We were a bit unlucky in both cups, getting knocked out by Primeira Liga teams again but we arnt being hammered so there i some positives.

Star Player

Maxym Borovets - Beast on the wing hopefully we can get promoted soon so we can keep him because I can see bigger teams coming for him.

Next Season

Aim for promotion, keep the stars of my team.

Portuguese League Cup - 3rd phase

The season kicked off with a win over recently relegated Vitória de Setúbal which made me think we could go for promotion and then after that our form was pretty good and eventually we reached top spot and stayed there most the season. Around January our form dipped and I was worried we would throw away promotion, but thankfully we pulled it together to push on and finish first. A last minute goal again Naval in the 4th last game of the season pretty much guaranteed our promotion but our end of season form showed we were never gonna miss out. In the cup it was disappointing to be drawin away in all our matches especially against Sporting. But the League Cup kinda made up for that as we made it to the 3rd phase and drew Benfica, which was our only home game of the 3rd phase which again was disappointing but we managed to beat Vitória de Guimarães, who won the league becoming only the 5th team to win it, 3-0 and our last game against Braga was epic but unfortunately we wernt able to beat them.

Star Player

Baba - Great goal scoring record and a funny name.

The start of the season kicked off with us playin Braga, Porto, Boavista and Benfica and we were easily beatin by them all but then we went the next 6 matches unbeatin. We were never in danger of relegation after that. Our most impressive win came against Sporting we we beat 1-0 but the best victory of the season was of course winning the League Cup and beating Benfica on penos in the semi-final in their own stadium. A couple of games before the League Cup final we played Nacional and they hammered us 3-0 so thankfully that match wasnt repeated. We had some big wins and big scores in the Portuguese Cup but Sporting got their revenge and out we went bearly without a fight. One thing I noticed during the season was were Vitória de Guimarães were, they won the league last year but spent most the season flirting with relegation which is quite strange.

Star Player

Baba - Another good season from him and thankfully the bigger teams havnt came for him.

Next Season

Have some cup runs and aim for mid-table.

Vitória de Guimarães winning the league? Sporting finishing 5th? Boavista back on the first league?(their players haven't been payed in 2 months in real life iirc lol)

FM is not the best at predicting the future (well the Sporting thing might happen :p)

nice save btw, will be interesting to see if you break the Big Three in the next 10 years .

I reckon it wont be as hard as I thought seen as Vitória de Guimarães won the league and we beat them that year 3-0 in the League Cup, hopefully im right anyways :D

A good part of the season was a bit bumpy, we would win a few and then lose a few and we only drew twice which was cool. Some of our losses were a joke though, loing 4-0 againt our rivals, Olhanese, was quite upsetting and big defeats against Vitória de Guimarães and Porto didnt go down well but we had some great victories like beating Benfica 1-0 in Lisbon for their first defeat of the season and scoring 2 late goals against Vitória de Guimarães to knock them outta the cup even though we didnt go much further in the cup, and of course beating Porto 4-1 at home was great so overall the good outweigh the bad, we didnt improve on our position but we did put up a better fight against the bigger teams and we won more games than last season so its some progression.

Well we finally got some progress, but unfortinutaly we missed out on a EURO Cup spot by 2 points which was disappointing but it was progress none the less. The start of the season didnt go the best and we were floating around the relegation spots which didnt give me much hope for the season but we put together a nice run and it took a while but we finally got up the table and we were sittin pretty for a EURO Cup spot but we lost 3 and then drew the last 4 games of the season so we dropped down the table. The last game of the season we won was the League Cup final against Martimo which was easy and it was great to win something again. The Taça de Portugal wasnt very good for us, as usual, but im sure we will go further sometime, I hope.

Rollercoaster season! First half of the season was very pleasing as we only lost twice and were fighting up the top of the league and we were even top of the league for a couple of hours after one game. But once the New Year came we started to get nose bleeds from been up so high and the first 12 games of 2021 didnt go well at all as we only won once but somehow we didnt fall down the table too far and we were floating around the position your used to but out of no where we managed to win the last 4 of our 5 games and we were unlucky to lose the last game. Aside from our 2021 form it was a good season and we even set a new highest league position. The League Cup was disappointing as Benfica won every game in our group and we never got the chance to defend our title, and the Portuguese Cup was just as disappointing, I think we are cursed in the Cup as we havnt ever made it past the 6th round and we always seem to get knocked out rather easily.

Portuguese League Cup - 2nd phase

We finally did it! Finally did better in the Taça de Portugal! The Cup run was the highlight of the season, we comfortably made it to the final, which was our first in 32 years, and I showed off my amateurism at the format of the Cup as I was celebrating on making the final in our first game against Naval but I soon realised it was over 2 legs but I was still able to celebrate in the end, we were handed Porto in the final and allthough we gave them a fight it was upsetting to lose, I was hopeful of a upset but it wasnt to be. But the good news from playing Porto in the final was they already qualified for the Champions Cup so we qualified for the Europa League and we will be off to Europe for the first time next season! Despite our poor league position, we seemed to have gone backwards, it wa a good season due to the Cup run. I reckon the poor form in the league is down to a lot of players thinking they are bigger than the club and wanting to leave which im goin to try and let them do, even if they are our main players. The League Cup isnt worth talking about, only cool thing about it is Rasmus Eriksen scored all our goals in the competition, and he finished well ahead as our top goal scorer. It was a shame to see our fellow Algarve club and rivals Olhanense relegated, but it does make us the most reputable club in the Algarve which feels good, next aim is to be the most reputable club in Portugal! :D

Wooow, what a crazy season! Definitely the most exciting one since ive been manager, it all kicked off with a 7-0 aggregate win in our first European game against Engordany of Andorra but we wernt able to match Stade Rennais so out we went. Then we played Porto in the Supertaça, which I didnt know we were in, we gave them a good fight but it wasnt to be. The League didnt start off good at all, we did eventually did get going and we steadily rose up the table and reached our final position, and our record highest position, of 3rd so we will be going back to Europe next season and hopefully go further! We put together a lot of good runs in the League and broke our record for most games won in a row. The Taça de Portugal was a bit demoralising after knocking out Sporting in their stadium we lost to Naval, relegation battlers in the Second League. The League Cup was a bit better to us and we were unlucky to lose at home to Sporting in the Semi-Finals, also that match was the first ever sell out match. It didnt really matter if we made the final though as Porto absolutely dominated everything this year, winning the treble. I can only hope that will be us soon. :D

Very impressive read PM

Tough task against Stade Rennais, you can't complain about going out to them.

I thought we could of sneaked a win, perhaps thats just wishful thinking :D

Good job making the leap to the top spots! I was in Faro once, years ago. Nice town.

Yeah I was there too about 2003 and seen the new stadium in the Algarve and thats why I decided to go with Farense :D

The season couldnt of started off better, we were undefeated in 5 till we faced Porto who we probably should of beat but fell to a 3-2 loss and a late winner for them after been up by 2 goals. After that we went on a nice 10 match undefeated run which kept us in second place but still miles behind Porto but the gap between us and 3rd was 8 or 10 points many times which had me thinking we were pretty much guaranteed a European Cup place but I was wrong, we stumbled towards to the of the season. The turning point was a 2-1 loss to Benfica after been 1 up and conceding a late goal so we finished in 3rd again which im happy with because I didnt think we would repeat last seasons form and we are slowly becoming one of the top 3 teams in Portugal with Sporting starting to fall away and arnt anywere near as good as they used to be. We even managed to knock them out of the Taça de Portugal before going to the semi-final against Benfica and lost 2-1 in the first leg, but somehow beat them 3-0 in the 2nd leg. Unfortnuatly it didnt end up in glory after that as Porto beat us easily after the match was strangely postponed from the 5th of June till the 12th of June due to international call ups, I had none so the Portuguese FA clearly want Porto to win everything, biased little sods. Benfica got revenge on us in the League Cup semi final where we were well beatin so there isnt much to say about that. The Europa League was good fun, the group stages couldnt of started worse but we eventually found our feet and were in with a chance of progressing to the First Knock Out Round but missed out as we lost 2-1 to HSV and we also missed a peno early in the game so it could of been so different. A strange one at the start of the season was a lot of players, including our captain for the last 9 years, Shpliev, were complaining about the club not been big enough and wanting to leave, which I couldnt understand due to us finishing 3rd and qualifying for Europe, what more could they want? But thankfully it didnt get too serious and it was all sorted out quickly.

Boyter was a much needed addition, but the real star has to be Jaguare. He's only 21, and he's the best in the league at one of the trickiest positions to cover!

Yeah he is by far the best keeper around so hopefully we can hold onto him and win some silverware to keep him around :D

Out of interest, what Turkish clubs has Emin Boyter played for, especially curious which academy he came from.

He started at Genclerbirligi before joining Varzim in Portugal and then we signed him. He was never really a goal scorer before he came to us, I really bought him as a winger but he ended up playing striker :D

3rd Place in back to back years is some achievement, Well done!

Benfica and Sporting seem to be getting weaker and weaker each year so its making it kinda easy :p soon we should be able to pip Benfica to 2nd place :)

I noticed last season we didnt have many Portuguese players in our squad so I tried to bring in some and I reckon I've found a few good ones, Iovoaldo Félix got called up for his first Portuguese international cap and played but a couple of months later he got called up for another international cap but this time it was for Guinea-Bissau, kinda weird but he will play more international games so it can only be good news for us! Before the season started there was a bit of unrest going on as a lot of players wanted out and we also changed our captain as Alexander Shplievs moaning finally got to me and I tried to get rid of him but was unable to so I just left him floating around and played only twice and will be got rid of ASAP. Despite the rocky start off the pitch we managed to beat Porto in the Supertaça and then we went on an 11 match winning streak which was quite unbelievable, but of course Porto were right behind us having lost only once, against us, so the pressure was always on but Porto began to drop away but the pressure was still on from Sporting, which was surprising, but we did beat them twice which ended their title hopes. Going into the end of the season we were still up there with Benfica and Porto but in the second last game of the season against Boavista we lost 1-0 and that pretty much finished our title challenge. I kinda knew deep down that we wouldnt win the title but it was still disappointing but it was even more disapointing to miss out on Champions Cup. Especially after we got kicked out of the EURO Cup quite easily by Lille, it was a tough draw for us and sadly we couldnt pull off an upset. The Taça de Portugal isn't really worth saying anything about except a sweet 7-0 win over Aves but we couldnt get the better of Sporting this time. The League Cup is worth saying something about as we reached the final but it was always going to be Belenenses year to win it, especially after they beat Porto 11-1. I would of felt kinda bad if we beat them in it, I swear.

WE WON A DOUBLE!! WE WON A DOUBLE!! Although we started off in pretty bleak circumstances when 2 of our star players, Iovoaldo Félix and Samiro Reis refused to sign a new contract with us so I decided to arrange them to be sold before January and I was questioning how we would cope without them but honestly I didn't even notice they left. We started the season in blistering pace and we pretty much stayed that way all season despite a couple of slip ups against smaller teams, which ultimately lost us the title as we played runners up to Porto all season and its hard to think how different it could of been if Porto didnt beat us 4-3, a match which we were winning 3-2 till the 80th minute but I suppose to be truly champions you have to win them kind of games. It was a great league campaign overall as we finished 2nd and qualified for the European Cup miles ahead of Sporting. The truly amazing part of this season was winning a double, the League Cup came first with an amazing 5-1 win over Benfica in the final which honestly could of been more. In the Taça de Portugal I felt we were always going to win it after the 3rd round match against Porto were we missed 2 penos during normal time and extra time but we went onto win on penos in the end and from there it was easy enough except for a tough semi final against Benfica which we battled through to go onto the final and win comfortably against Boavista and lift our first ever Taça de Portugal and our first ever double. It feels grat to have knocked Porto out of both the cups and also to out trophy them for the season. I reckon the reason for our great form in the league and the 2 cups was down to our early exit from Europe, even though it was disappointing at the time I like to think it all worked itself out.

Well, first of all we won the Supertaça so technically, we won a treble in 2026, technically. But anyway, the season kicked off with the chairman selling Emiliano Ramírez for only 2.3 million Euro which is disappointing so hopefully it doesn't happen again. And as always we have players moaning about wanting to join bigger clubs blah blah. It wa very upsetting to get knocked out by Savilla in our first European Cup adventure, they got a lucky last minute goal to deny us going to extra time. The EURO Cup was much better even though we were drawin in a pretty though group we managed to top it but we ended up going out in the cruellest way, on penos, against HSV. The League wasnt great at all, we never really did much all season and took some bad defeats against teams we should of being hammering. We were never in the race for the title as Porto and Vitória de Guimarães stormed the league and they were 10 points ahead of me half way through the season but that gap quickly grew to 20 points. Its been 10 years since Vitória de Guimarães won the League so it seems they only pop up every 10 years so I hope I dont have to worry about them next season as they beat me easily, twice. And they also knocked me out of the Taça de Portugal, I wasnt happy about that cause we bearly put up a fight to keep hold of it. The League Cup was a different story as we did put up a fight to keep it but we threw it away in the final, after leading 2-0 we ended up losing 3-2. Overall it was a quite disappointing season, especially after winning the Supertaça at the beginning gave us false hope for the coming season.

Not our best season at all, on all fronts. The highlight was the League Cup Semi-Final but we were hammered in that by Porto so our highlight is also our lowlight, says a lot about the season. Even though we were 5th all season, which isnt a bad position, we seemed to just crumble at times during the season and we wernt our usual fighting selves as we fell to bad teams and bad hammerings from bigger teams. The league was especially dissapointing, as Chaves finished ahead of us. Once again we were never even near the top or 2nd or 3rd or 4th but at least my prediction from last season came through, Vitória de Guimarães didnt do much at all so it proves they are only good once every 10 years, but its a shame we couldnt replace them at the top of the league. We beat Penafiel 6-1 on the first day of the season and even though they arnt the best it still got my hopes up and nothing came of it. We made hard work of our EURO Cup group, only winning the last 3 games and somehow managing to beat Sevilla to ensure qualifaction were we got dumped out easily enough by Malaga. There is nothing to say about the Taça de Portugal, Porto were better than us and beat us and thats all there is to say.

We love 3rd place! We were stuck in the same position for most the season but its good news as we seem to have reversed the decline we were slowly starting on. It was kind of dissapointing to finished 3rd after only losing 3 times all season but we just drew too many, and Porto went undefeated so we never had a chance to go for the title. The Taça de Portugal was disappointing, we struggled to overcome Olhanense and then went out to eventual winners Penafiel, I thought we would of had a nice run in the cup but it wasnt to be. The League Cup was very very disappointing, our semi final against Sporting was a joke, we had 15 first teamers that we're unable to play due mostly to international call ups so that was a bit strange. We had a enjoyable run in the EURO Cup but we wernt able to follow up on our 3-1 win over Lille and then they absolutely smashed us out of it in the return leg but overall it was still an enjoyable run. Its good to be back challenging, the excitement showed as we pretty much sold out every game over the season which prompted the board to decide to build a new stadium for us, named after the great Rasmus Eriksen. The Eriksen Arena will hold 24,375 people, and will be the 5th largest stadium in Portugal when we move into it in 2031.

Finished 3rd again but not too dissappointed due to Portugal moving up in the Qualification Places last season and so we enter into the Champions League at the Best Placed Third Qualifying Round, I think. We only managed to make 3rd place because of our 8 match unbeaten run at the end of the season where we were pretty unbeatable. Up until then our form was hot and cold and I only thought we would scrape into a EURO Cup place but thankfully I was wrong. During our 8 match unbeaten run we played against Porto in the League Cup final and won quite easily running out 3-0 winners to lift our 4th League Cup. The Taça de Portugal was, as usual, no good to us as Benfica frustratingly dumped us out. Our EURO Cup group was quite simple and we pretty much walked through it but we were no match for Fiorentina and despite a good battle against them we just couldnt do it. There is a bit of bad harmony in our squad at the moment with a good few players wanting to leave so hopefully we can really start challenging in the league and the Champions Cup to keep our players happy! Oh and fingers crossed Porto play every game next season like they played the League Cup final against us :D

This was our best season yet! Before we kicked off things didnt go our way with our chairman selling Herman Graafland for a measly 3.7 million Euro and then we lost Eugéne Muller in January to Atlético Madrid after they triggered his release cause so I didnt have too much hope for this season but I was wrong, thankfully. We started off the league in great form then came crashing down to earth when Varzim beat us 4-0, there was a few more silly results over the season, losing 4-0 to Chaves and 3-0 to Leixões. Them defeats cost us bad as we wernt able to keep up with Porto, who again dominated the league. But I am happy with 2nd place because we qualify for the Champions Cup group stages now. We had a good run in all the cups, the League Cup was good but we lost the final, I really thought we were gonna do it after knocking our porting and Benfica we only had to get past Porto in the final but we never really turned up for it. The Taça de Portugal was different, we had a easy enough run to get into the final and managed to beat Sporting, we were leading 2-1 going into the last minute but Sporting scored and I thought we were gonna lose it in extra time but porting threw away their chance of winning getting 2 players sent off and Nebojsa Rafailovic grabbed the winner for us to give us our 2nd Taça de Portugal. The Champions Cup was a bit of a surprise, I didnt expect us to beat Valencia but we beat them comfortably and I felt that was our first big win in Europe but then we went onto beat the likes of PSG, Bayern Munich, Sevilla and Shakhtar Donetsk and all of a sudden we found ourselves in the semi final against Spanish opposition and after knocking out Valencia and Sevilla I was hoping we could do the treble over our Spanish rivals but Barcelona were much better than us and it showed in the scoreline as we lost 6-1 on aggregate. It was a shame to lose in the semi final with the final being held in the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon but it wasnt to be but I'm sure someday we will contest a Champions Cup final. Overall it was a successful season and it was a good send off to our stadium we brought some big teams to it but unfortunately we didnt bring a whole lot of success but its time to move on to bigger and better things and our next game will be played in the new Eriksen Arena and hopefully we bring plenty of success to that stadium!
