I delayed the decision till the end of the season, as much as I am tempted though I cant see myself leaving
Youth Candidate Day
Got a couple with potential who I will be keeping an eye on. Liam Clark was given top billng by my assistant Kyle Naughton and he seems to think he has the potential to be better than Troy Cockrill who has become one of my best players.
We are still top with 10 games to go and at this point I am confident we go up unless we do a Newcastle under Kevin Keegan
![]()
Its pretty tight at the top for the run in, I can see us winning our home games but not sure if it will be enough for the title.
King's Lynn
Sheffield United (H)
Nottingham Forest (A)
Watford (H)
Norwich
Portsmouth (A)
Leeds (H)
Oldham (A)
Bristol City
Brighton (H)
MK Dons (A)
Wrexham (H)
One game left to go we are 2nd 3 points behind Norwich, Bristol City have gone off the boil and they are 2 points behind us.
I still have a chance to win the league Oldham take on Norwich in the last game and are in 22nd and have won their last 5 games and need to win to stay up. We also need a 4 goal swing. Actually this is quite far fetched... Here goes nothing
Pity about (Probably) losing top, but will probably go up.
Oldham did their part of the script beating Norwich 2-1 we managed a 3-0 win at home to Watford I thought a four goal swing was going to be enough but it just levelled our goal difference and as they have scored more goals the title goes to them, can't believe we lost out on the title by a single goal. But on the positive side finally made it to the Premier League, this makes it a lot easier to reject the Juve job now.

Yeah I am pleased at promotion although I am not so pleased with my chairman
![]()
That seems rather low for chairman intervention.
Thats what I thought, I think Norman could of been his minimum release fee but Molyneaux there was no need, were not exactly broe
Also after Euro 2024 (which Holland won) I decided to jump back into Internatonal Management ab a few jobs become available including the England one but I decided not to apply for that as I want to save that for the end of my career after a 50/50 decision I rejected Turkey and plumped for

We have been very active in the transfer market this year and spent next to nothing, compensation for Nasir is the only time we have parted with a fee. We also bring back two former players Danny Mitchell we sold to Charlton when we were in League One and Jamie Stevens left us for Xamax but we managed to lure him back when his contract expired he will be my main striker this year. Redmond is also now our token "real player".
Most of the players I signed are back up or youngsters coming through, here is a screenshot of the four who will likely feature the most.

The new season is nearly here and looking at the other Premier League sides I would defintely settle for 17th now. Would love a cup run to. There has been delays on the stadium so I dont think we move in it till October at the earliest. Here is my squad

Noooooooooooooooooooooooo.....Just sat and read all 218 posts as i have just started a career with AFC Rushden and Diamonds in the United Counties League (ok a small edit taking a club out and replacing with my club AFC R&D).
I set Rushden up exactly as King's Lynn are as the clubs seem similar so i was loving the rise you have had, hoping for the same with my save.
Gutted you cannot get any further and i feel your pain as a long term save i had previous would not pass 23/5/2028.
Fantastic job and dispite the early finish to the thread i certainly dont feel i wasted my time reading it. Congratulations! Top effort.
Why does this always happen...??
Have tried holidaying etc nothing seems to work. When I go to my parents next I am going to try and get past it on my parents comp. I was looking forward to Premier League and new stadium. I hope I can somehoew salvage this
I'd recommend you to upload the save somewhere and post the link here, we could try to get past the date and send it back to you. And did you try with older save?
I had an older save from the beginning of pre-season and tried to holiday past it but no good.
It's a shame when things like this happen, sad to hear it.
A lot of people are experiencing this problem and I think there is a patch coming out soon that I hope may fix the problem. Its a slim chance but I will keep the save file just in case.
This is back thanks to the new patch it seems. I lost my save but found one beginning pre-season I holidayed past the troublesome date and it worked. I am no longer Russia manager and I have to redo my transfer activity but it seems only Lionel Wisehas signed for another team so I should (hopefully) still get all my targets.
Great that it works again! I'll be following your brilliant career mateHope that there won't be any problems from now on.
That's great news.
Finally played my fist Premier League game and it was worth the wait
Not sure how we done it we were completely outplayed but ill take 3 points on the board.
Encouraging start.
Just read through this thread and I'm genuinely amazed by how well you have done. Good luck in the Premier League, will definitely be following!![]()
Great way to start life in the Premier League, hopefully you can stay well clear of the bottom three.
Congrats on the first Premier League win, may it be the first of many.
Cheers guys, glad this is back on track!
I am happy so far and will continue to be as long as we are out of the bottom three. Before I get too excited there is still a long way to go and were just 4 points above the drop. We draw quite a lot and if we can convert a few of them to wins then we will be in with a great chance of keeping our heads above water. Nathan Redmond has proven to be a great buy on as he has chipped in with a few goals and created a fair few too, he was only signed to a one year deal but I have extended it based on his performances. Jamie Stevens in his second spell with the club has also upped his game and is our top scorer with 9 goals.
We crashed out of the league cup in the 3rd round, in the FA Cup we were drew with Conference high flyers Bedfont Sport I played a reserve side and it backfired as e drew 0-0, brought the big boys back for the second leg and we won 3-0. I have Mickleover in the 4th round they have come from nowhere and keep getting promoted and are now chasing a play off spot in League Two. I won't be taking any chances against them.
Our finances are very strong now as we are £21M in the clear and we are making money every month. Our wage bill is still quite low for a prem club as its only £147k p/w so that is hekping us with that. We took out a £15M loan to build the new stadium and hopefully we will be able to clear that now we've hit the big time.
Sitting 14th beginning of March, only won 6 games which tells you that rather than being good their is some abysmal sides. Still in the FA Cup got a quarter final match at home to Stoke, would love a Wembley run out. Up to £25M in the black, am hoping to update the facilities and I have already dipped my toes in the transfer market with a GK, CB and a AM all confirmed and I am looking at other options.
Hope that you'll survive in EPL... Would you show us your 11 first-team players?
Pretty pleased with that.
Youth Intake Day 2024/2025
Here are the best ones
I have high hopes for Busby, the scouts seem to think he could be better than Dyer.
Survived! Delighted with that since we only managed to pick up 3 points in our last seven games. I have already got people in on pre-contract agreements and with the players I got coming in I am hopeful we can achieve a similar feat next season.
Now we are with the big boys we are doing excellent financially and tend to make £3m a month because of this I have got the board to update the facilities again and its costing a fair bit this time!
Also had Atletico Madrid sniffing after me but rejected them
![]()
Well done. Fantastic season overall.![]()
Yeah I can't fault it we got to quarter finals of the FA Cup too which was nice, I think there could be a fair bit of transfer activity in the summer. Just turned down the Man Utd job aswell
So whats the plan? Stay to dominate Europe? Win it once and off to another club? You getting some great offers on a regular basis.
I want to win the Champions League but much past that I haven't thought about yet. That in it self is still a fair few years off as the gulf in class in the EPL is huge.
Not an awful lot past that I imagine.

Some really obscure teams getting into the Blue Square Regionals! Midhurst have really climbed the ladder!
Yeah loads have flown up the leagues, Mickleover had about 6 promotions on the bounce. Rochdale are down to level 7 and a lot of league 1-2 sides filling up conference and below.
I have sent one of my scouts to South America and theres about 6 players at Boca who I am now trying to get hold of. I could potentially put together a good squad for next season.
Scrap that the Boca players wont even talk to me, I'll have to keep tabs on them for a year and try again next summer
Had a massive overhaul of the squad, some players wouldn't sign new deals or were demanding ridiculous wages so I ruthlessly cut anyone who wasn't in this fr the long haul.

HE'S COMING HOME, HE'S COMING HOME ROB COX IS COMING HOME
I am delighted to bring him back, I had to break the wage structure to bring him in but I hope it will be worth it. The fans were equally as pleased. I now have three quality strikers so if I dont stay up now its my own fault. He will also replace Eifion Monument as Captain. To finance the move I had to cash in on Nicolas Fiege who joined Cardiff for £7M he will be worth double that in a few years but its all about nostalgia for me. I signed a new winger anyway this Bolivian playing in Asia somewhere (i forget) he had a foreign release clause of £875,000 so a bargain replacement.
In other news asked the board for a feeder club and I wanted one with an established youth set up, they declined but after I kicked off they relented. All the options were decent but I went with the one with the best youth facilities.

Great deal on Mendez.
I tried to sign this guy when he was under contract still with Bilbao but he had no interest, he got released but had a hip injury so I forgot about him just checked my shortlist and no one had picked him up.

Glad to see this back and to see that rob cox is back where he belongsGood luck
Cheers mate.
I was beginning to think we might surprise some people this year then opening day of the season we get thumped 5-0 by Man City, our other game saw us draw 0-0 with Birmingham. I need some of the old Rob Cox magic.
Had a good start to the U'21 job
In the squad there is 5 King's Lynn players and 4 of my former players its like a King's Lynn all stars U'21 side! I gave 16 year old Tom Busby his debut and he scored, delighted with that. My coaches think he is going to be world class.
Also in our group are Israel and Bosnia. There was one game played before I started which they won 1-0. I don't envision any problems qualifying. This is the first time on any of the FM's I have managed an U'21 side.
This has been an excellent career so far, keep up the good work!
September was a much better month for us although we only played 3 games. We drew away to Aston Villa to pick up our 2nd point of the season but worryingly we had played three games in the league without so much as a sniff at goal. Up next was a game away at West Ham who are chasing promotion in the Championship in the League Cup3rd round and thankfully we got the morale boosting win we needed.
It is good to see Cox back on the scoresheet. We followed that up with a 3-0 win over Sunderland in the league with man of the moment Diallo picking up another brace. Only worry was Terraneo is out for a month and Mendez is out long term so Tossavi/Bremner will compete for the right midfield spot for the neext few months.
October looks a horrible month with tough games at Newastle and Arsenal plus a home game against Spurs. An away trip to Stoke in the League Cup is a harder draw than I hoped.
Right I am up to the beginning of December now and goals still seem to be a problem despite the fact that i blew £20M on three men I thought would fire us up the table. Thankfully our defence has performed well and earned us three 0-0 draws. Injury problems continued as my engine in midfield Tossavi joined Mendez on the treatment table long term and then to make matters worse my best defender does this
After a 0-0 draw at Everton and a 2-0 home win against Cardiff with both my centre halves scoring from corners the table makes a bit easier reading. I am not too disheartened either as I have played 5 of the current top 7!
The League Cup is different gravy though
Rob Cox is on a one man mission to fire us to Wembley. We have Blackburn in the semis they are big side now and won the Prem two years ago.
The England U'21 job is going well and I have now won 4/4 games and its virtually impossible for me to lose top spot from here

A few years ago I signed this Aussie striker and I thought he was going to be awesome, he wasn't. Despite good stats he just couldn't find the net and even went on a 26 and a half hour goal drought. I don't even want to work out how many games that was. Anyway I often keep track on my former players and I was going though the transfer history I clicked on him and saw he was in Arsenal's reserves and then noticed he was worth £15M but when I look at his record he still isn't scoring, I thought I was lucky to get £3m for him but I guess Auxerre were the lucky ones!
![]()
Just battered Blackpool, this should help the goal difference at the end of the season
![]()
What a result against Blackpool.
I have a feeling that you can beat Blackburn in the League Cup to.
I have them next at home in the league and if i get a result there I reckon I have a chance! Huddersfield v Chelsea is the other semi would to take on Huddersfield in the final but that's too optimistic!
Team of the week, this is the most players I have had in it on any version of the game
![]()
December was a great month with 5 wins out of 5 including a 1-0 home win over Blackburn then we held Chelsea to a draw away. Leyton Orient home in the FA Cup next then the big game with Blackburn. In other news Kote Lopez has withdrawn his transfer request.
Massive run of wins.
How is Cambridge UP doing so far?
We won the 1st leg 1-0 but gone done 2-0 at there place to make matters worse Huddersfield knocked out Chelsea!
Rikulec - They are in Championship but in the relegation zone, Colwyn Bay who they come up with are mid table.
I was gutted with the League Cup but this has still been a great year
Rob Cox coming back to the club made Captain and grabbed the vital equaliser to put it to extra time where we then demolished them. Europa League next season!
Congrats on winning the FA Cup![]()
Well done, great cup win!!
Cheers guys after they scored early I feared the worst but with10 minutes remaining went overload and forgot to change it in extra time and we blitzed them
10th place I'm happy with that, we were resigned to that with around 8 games to go as we couldn't catch up or be caught. No striker was prolific but everyone contributed. We got £8M for our league spot so add that and the FA Cup winnings that should pay for the following improvements. Looking forward to European Football next season.
![]()
Champions league football while finishing 5th seems a little odd? Did Blackburn win the Champions League?
Congrats on your FA Cup win and hope Europe goes well for you next season.
Good to see Rob Cox back and scoring goals, almost like he never left.![]()
Fantastic effort in the FA Cup mate, how big will your stadium be after the latest expansion?
A cracking read well done.
That was like the ultimate FA Cup run. Excellent work.
Watch out Europe!
Blackburn must have won the CL, wow. Did Cambridge UP get relegated?
Blackburn did win the CL, Cambridge UP finished 20th so stayed up but Colwyn Bay had a horrible second half of the season and went down. I'll do a run down of the season in a bit
I'd really love to manage Cambridge on your save now, it's unbelievable to see an AI team going so many leagues up. When human managers do it... yeah, of course it's a fantastic achievement, but it's much more common than UP's story.

Which version of the download you using Johnny?
Doing a great job mate, maybe a european trophy for Kings Lynn?
It was one of the first versions to be released that went down to level 10 can't remember which one i'll see if I can find out.

Despite being seeded we drew Schalke in the Europa League 4th qualifying round, they beat me to my number one transfer target in the summer an Israeli centre back I had been tracking for a year or so, hopefully he has a shocker.
We finally ended our winning streak at Wembley, having won in our previous five appearances Man Utd beat us 1-0 in the Charity Shield. Norwich in first game of the season for the battle of Norfolk!
Good luck against Norwich.
