I think the mods will delete posts if we say exactly what you have to do. Apparently the fun is in figuring it out from clues.

This one might, as yet there are seven days of daily achievements still to be announced in the Steam winter sale contest (top prize - every game on Steam), perhaps this one might be one of them?

You sure your playing FM12 lol, have you checked you achievement list on Steam just incase you've missed the pop up. Oh and the Xmas achievement came down with an update because it was not there when the game came out. So have you updated.

Think you might have the answer. I did the thing you need to do before the game updated. So I must have missed it. Tried it again after the update, though, and nothing happened.

I'm almost certain I didn't miss a pop-up, but I will check just in case.

I am definitely playing FM12. Give me some credit!

I haven't had any emails about this acheivment and am not really interested as i am way passed the time period in the game anyway. I am guessing though that its got something to do with manging a certain club in Finland over the christmas period.

My board said it was too far to travel so couldn't do it - added a new manager as Arsenal, arranged it and still nothing

Its not time specific in game, you can complete it anytime in game just by the end of today real time

Started a new game, tried it again and still no achievement

Just so i am doing it right - do i just have to arrange an away friendly with FC Santa Claus?

If so, its not working for me

oi oi i have done that and nothing either on my save luckily i have huge rep world class and was in the process of arranging pre season friendlys and did this but nothing.

i looked through all the steam achievements and nothing

I don't think it matters whether it is home or away.

You have to have the friendly confirmed by FC Santa Claus.

I couldn't do it in my current game, so I started a game with only that nation loaded, and used that nation's highest rated team (going by predicted league position), and did it successfully with my first attempt. I did have to go to them, but otherwise, not a problem.

Just to point out - to get steam achievements you have to be playing with steam online (not in offline mode) for those that have played the friendly and not got it.

You can just start a new game. Go on tour to Finland and play a friendly with them.

What a waste of time really as most people will be well into their games and not bothered about a friendly agansit father christmas from finland,my thoughts anyway.

in 2011 it was to create a friendly on christmas day with a club that has a name christmas related. Think the club was related to Santa in name only. santa claus fc

Well it's not to organise and then play a friendly with Santa Claus FC at their homeground. Played as a brazilian club, earliest I could play it was December 26th. Doubt it would of made a difference if I played it on Dec 25th. I also doubt it anyone has unlocked it yet, also doubtfull there is even 1 to unlock. Been nothing on here nor on twitter bout it.

No such achievement exists. Miles or the football manager on twitter would of been tweeting clues, and they haven't. 2 people supposedly have done it and advised for us to pm then & they would tell us how it is done. No replies yet. They are clearly not telling the truth.
