Strangely enough, something similar happened on my game. I think they lost in the World Cup final.

In my game Scotland won the 2016 Euro's and just got beat in the 2018 World Cup final! Naismith scored in both finals.

Cameroon just beat Argentina 1-0 in my 2014 World Cup, knocked them out at the group stage... (Not sure what's weirder, that or England and Scotland playing a group game that didn't matter because they'd both qualified for the next round...)
