How to stop players getting nervous?

My players keep getting nervous in matches even against small clubs like Wigan. What can i do to prevent this? I am Liverpool also

Use calm/cautious team talk saying stuff that don't put too much pressure on them. Avoid "for the fans" and "expect a performance". Your assistant may be too demanding in his press conferences.

Another thing you can do is to build a team which doesn't buckle under pressure.

also build some concepts of defending and attacking and apply them by touchline shouts to see if it helps
