those players keep unregistered... Registration didn't open till January. I'm playing England Championship btw. To reproduce this, it's very simple. Take control of 1 championship team. Register the full quota of 25 players. Wait for the transfer window to be over. Sign a free transfer player(s); preferably those with quality for your 1st team. Go on holiday and let your ass man take control. voila, your new signing has made debut.

Sounds like a bug, and if you can consistently reproduce it, you should make a report in the bug forum
