jase19 Posted November 1, 2011 Share Posted November 1, 2011 i just took an international job and called up one of my club players. i just got told that calling up said player ruffled some feathers at his club.. pretty sure i'm okay with it, since i'm his manager at both club and country.... FootballManager Posted November 2, 2011 Share Posted November 2, 2011 Well it could be a few things really and not necessarily you supposedly telling the press your not happy about the call-up. It could be the fact some staff see it as favoritism (club or country). Also your not the only staff member at the club. You must consider the players too. Calling up a star player for a worthless international fixture and choosing him over an FA Cup quater final (for example) would more than likely annoy a few people. Including you. jase19 Posted November 2, 2011 Author Share Posted November 2, 2011 key player for world cup qualifier, reason i got the job is because the country just sacked the boss because they should easily be qualifying and aren't. all hands on deck. needless to say, in the 2 qualifiers he scored 3 total goals and we won both, 3-0 and 3-1, and should now qualify with 1 more win. jase19 to the rescue.
