Young players, both real and regen can get a media comparison on the personal tab of their player profile. I thought it would be cool to see all of the different real players that can be listed on a profile. In the interest of keeping it in this forum, real prospects will not be allowed in this thread to avoid player-naming. I would assume that any player who is named as the player of comparison is famous enough to not be considered player-naming. This can be for any regens, not just your own players.

I will start a list by country in the next post.

To submit a regen, please just post a single screenshot showing their personal information that confirms their comparison. If you want to show their attributes or their picture, it would be nice to put them in the save screenshot like my pictures will be done later in the thread. Posting the screenshot directly using img tags instead of linking them with url tags would be helpful for me to easily check them.

REMEMBER: Regens only so that we can respect user's desires to not have player-naming.

in 2010, i had two regens, the next ronaldinho and next leo messi......fond memories....of the blasted crash dump. TAT haven't got a chance with 2012 yet, seem to lack a motivation to find a club

Okay, I listed up everything above this post. I also put the user's name next to the player so that you all can credit! I forgot to mention that since we are going for a collection, I will only be listing the first instance of the player that is posted here.

aderow, I am not sure that holiday saves help here. I still have to trawl through individual players to find their information. If the new scouting system wasn't as annoying and my team (Stoke right now) had more money, I am sure I would find more. Only that Dutch player is mine so far.

SWaRFeGa, it is good to see some historic players and not just the recent guys.

Bunglefish, that is quite a collection. I like how the next Nigel Reo-Coker is also compared to Messi since the two players are so similar and all. I would like to see your full QPR team. It seems like a fun game.

vivu, good to see some country diversity.

martplfc1, the system seems to have changed a bit this year, which has some weird results to say the least. To be honest it seems like a bit of a bug, which would be more of a reason to hunt for these regens if the less-than-famous names get removed in the future.

Of course I'd never actually heard of most of these players, so I'm not sure how excited I am by these prospect.

I have updated all the latest ones that I have pictures for so far. If you want credit, I need a screenshot confirming the comparison. I am thinking of creating a scoring system to see who is the best at hunting out the special regens.

welshace, the ones on your list that we have not had so far are McCoist, Seaman, Parker, Villa, Lampard, Green, Voller, Barton, Les Ferdinand, and Meireles, so if you post screenshots of any of them, I will add them to the list.

The next Phil Neville is not my player, bazrah99, but I would certainly think about it if he popped up in my team.

Coen, learning about some of the less well-known players from other countries is actually a benefit of this feature. In my Austrian holiday game, I learned a lot about famous Austrian players from seeing regens pop up.

BungleFish, that is quite a fun team. I knew from your screenshots that your team included both Messi and Ronaldo, so I wanted to see the rest!

edit: he's already got 2 goals for the club
the winner against Barcelona at the Camp Nou (for a 2-1 away win) and the winner in the CL final (a superb diving header for a 1-0 win)

Sign up to photobucket then you will see a green upload button, click that find your screenshot on your computer and let it upload. Then go into your albums in photobucket and select the IMG code at the bottom of your image then paste that into your post.

Open your screenshots in steam, I do this by having steam in my start menu and clicking the arrow you will get another menu that says screenshots. Open that and select show on disc.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\42188719\760\remote\71270\scr eenshots

Thats the path of mine not sure if yours will be the same.

The guy who used to be the next Gaetano D'Agostino just came back from loan as the next Marco Parolo. I had to look up who that was, apparently a Cesena player with 1 cap for Italy. Good prospect for a club like mine, I guess.

Also have the next Antonio Floro Flores and Pablo Zabaleta in my team. I'll see if I get around to posting them...

Slightly interesting change. the new Zabaleta got picked for Italy U19 and changed to Italian main nationality, so he's now the new Ignazio Abate instead. Just tied him up with a 5-year contract, the poor bugger....

Found what I was looking for, but sadly not in my team... there are too many "next someone" to post if you just look at U19-U21 national teams. Found 3x the next Michael Owen for England, then 3x the next Michel Platini in France U19 at the same time and another one in U21! Seems slightly over the top with 4x Michel Platini, and that's just the ones I found.
By the way, the "original" Baresi bought up my club Poggibonsi and is now my chairman

It would be cool to get a screenshot of the next Oliver Kahn/Jens Musterman.

BungleFish, it would be great to sign a few more of the players. I started as Norwich, avoided relegation and turned them into a mid-table team, moved to Stoke, pulled them out of the drop zone and made them a top-half team, and now I am trying to turn Aston Villa into a league winner and Champions League contender so I should have some money to spend at some point. It is good to see some real legends in the latest rounds of players. I was unfamiliar with the Turkish names, so I looked them up and they are some true past legends of the game!
