Default BSN - no reserve or U18 fixtures

Is this normal or is it because I created my team in the editor? I have no fixtures for my reserves or youth, and I never got a news item asking if I wanted to join a league. It's really hard to arrange friendlies because teams won't travel for such a piddling game and I'm not sure of my geography.

Will I get the option of reserve/youth leagues next season if I stay in BSN or get promoted to BSP?

You'll get the option next year I'd think.

I had no fixtures in the first year - was able to join the leagues in the 2nd season of the BSN

This. My team was already in the under-18 one but had no reserve league.

    Right, got it.

In the editor I asked for no U18 league and a reserve league, because I wanted my U18 squad to play at a higher standard. Guess I''ll just have to arrange loadsof friendlies in the first season. There goes my insta-youth development.

Although it might not always be realistic I would like it if all leagues gave you the option to play in a reserve league, if only to keep players fit if not playing.
