I've been there once I think would love to manage a team that can break Celtic and Rangers.

    AFC Champions League 2018

My first adventure in the Asian Champions League nearly made me quit Beijing and move back home. I was all geared up and ready to play my first match when the bomb shell dropped. Half of my team were on International duty. I had NO team, but we took to the field anyway.

As you can see I had 11 players, no subs against a very good South Korean side. The worst happens on 45 mins. My Right Back gets carried off. The 2nd half we only have 10 men. To top it all off in the 83rd minute my striker joins my right back on the treatment table. 9 men.........
How we won I don't know.

Those are great shirts. And a great performance in the group stage, to boot. Well done!

Will you be jumping back into European football at the first opportunity or are you planning on keeping your Asian adventure going for a while?

Tough question there Arsenal. I'm having a great time in Asia but I wouldn't mind playing in a better standard of league. Once my Champions League is over I will decide what to do next.

It was a shame it never worked out at City, but I won't mind another shot at them some day. Loving Beijing at the moment, would really like to become an International manager soon aswell.

We can dream rancer, it's tough though because I can only field 4 out of 7 subs every game.

    Qtr Final 1st Leg

Great first leg, sets me up nicely for the return leg in Japan, what could possibly go wrong. [oops]

    Qtr Final 2nd Leg

Oh dear, we were battered, this is the worst I think Beijing have played since I've been here. BUT!!!! AWAY GOALS RULE. We left it a little aswell.

Alex Ferguson would of had a heart attack at that.

Very close game, it's going to be tough in the 2nd leg with there away goal.

What a great game, after going 1-0 things didn't look good for us. But we dug in and fought back. Now for the biggest game of my career to date.

The team I didn't want. Don't ask me why though, I've never heard of them.

Updated after "Crash Dumps" we still managed to win the league but we lost a game vice winning from earlier. Still happy though.

I'm finding it very hard to leave China, maybe because I've built up a good team that hopefully could beat anyone. I've been the front runner for every job that has come up in most of the divisions, expect the giants though. I'm taking it day by day at the moment during the off-season out here.

I can dream though.. (I can actually write Chinese btw - pinyin, not actual writing with a pen...that I can't do)
I won the CWC with Henan Jianye, a team from Eastern China, in FM11. It would be fantastic to see you win that CWC title and be the best club team in the world.

    My Captain Departs

So sad to see Wilko depart, he wouldn't sign a new contract so we cashed in.

The Ipswich fans will soon love him.

Not bad. From Beijing to AC Milan! Do you have a replacement for him?

Not at the moment, I've got a few strikers already at the club that will step up. My major problem at the moment is that 75% of my first team all want to leave for a bigger club and won't renew there contracts.

The manager won't renew as well at the moment

I do delta, but with the right country. Might have to wait until June/July for an international job.

Cracking read, doing a great job in China, going to be hard to leave that team behind if you do move on I guess.

I'm losing my team on a day to day basis, they want to move to bigger clubs i'm not going to stand in the way of that. Already lost my CB and ST and can't find any decent replacements.

    Dean Ashton Steps Down

I've been mulling over this all day but I feel it's time to move on and find a new challenge.
I've loved my time in Asia and someday may return.

    Job Serarch Update

Both jobs have been delayed until the end of the season. I'm hoping a few managers retire or get the sack so I can start fresh next season.

From what's on offer at the moment Deisler, there winning hands down , but the first wave of sackings has just happened. There's a manager who is insecure on the list that I don't mind filling his boots.
