Message in the bottle...

I spend a few hours a day on this forum while at the job, and wondered there must be other people around the world who are undermining corporation efficiency going here. icon_smile.gif

and other thing, is anyone there who actually can play the game at work?

I'm 28 yrs old jurnalist who's, compared to FM, a rotation player in my newspaper.

I have a lot of free time while waiting for information or call, so i can actually play the game. I used to do it, but machine is a bit slow so i stopped.

ps writing about dead people, accidents, suicides, robbery and all other crimes really bugs me, and FM is my imaginary playground.

just wanted to share this

cheers.

I do spend a fair bit of time when it's quite at work on the forums (in fact I'm at work right now).

However I cannot currently get away with playing FM at work. In my last job though I was QA manager for a games company and when it was quiet, ie between one game going getting released and another game not quite ready for testing yet, i'd play a bit of FM in windowed mode. Happy days.

I work for my Dad and my brother who have a sign and graphic shop, but my Dad is leaving in March too slow down abit so my brother will then be the sole owner of the business which he started. We work together in our workshop with seperate computers so I can scan the boards and the net and have the odd FM game running aslong as I get all my work out. But when our Dad leaves it will be even more laid back.

I'm a home carer and i've got to admit that at the moment i have what i think is the best job around. The guy i look after is football mad and after i've attended to what needs doing we get to sit and play the game(while i get paid too) for upto 5-6 hours a day and it's great to see him with a sparkle when he tactically outclasses me from time to time.

Hey ho,

Being a Quantity Surveyor, I don't get time to go to the toilet most of the time, but It does occassionally go quiet, at which point I crack open these forums and think about how I'm going to save my Swindon team from a mid season slump!

I have gaps in between work so have been permitted by my boss to bring my laptop to work with me. So I get to play a few hours (if im lucky) a shift and then sometimes scan this forum on the work pc. My long periods on my Altrincham game during night shifts has got me to League 1 after 3 seasons.

The boss told me "..i'd rather you used your own computer to look at porn than the office one..."

but why would i do anything else but play on Football Manager...?

I'm a night security guard. Work 12 hours a night. Take off the 1 hour or so walking around checking things, and most of the time I'm on my laptop playing FM.

Look at the cctv every now and again, and get up to make meself a brew. Apart from that the rest of the night is pure quality FM time.

Boss don't mind, as when its his turn,he does exactly the same thing.

And they pay me handsomely as well icon_cool.gif

LOL, if we're using FM analogies, then last "season" i was "released on a free" for discussing terms with another "club" while still under contract. I've been a free agent up until last week when i was "offered a trial" (seriously!), and i've finally been offered a contract!

(i start work next week)
