Congrats on the promotions Drake44444, duccio and blackdevil and good luck with Anadolu Üsküdar 5ergio!
Good luck in Italy DJ Clark Boy.
blackdevil - Congrats on the promotion, well done!
dj clark boy - Best of luck in Italy!
My season is done, will type up something as soon as I can. Can say it was very similar to my last couple of seasons in Portugal though.
DodgeeD - Good luck with Keçiorengücü. I've had Yüksel Sariyar in my Pampilhosa team for a couple of seasons now, he's been a quite boring but very reliable midfielder.
Brettney1980 - Nice second season with Dardanelspor. Very respectable 10th place.
LLR - Goals win games, defenses win championships ! Looks like you've got the first bit well sorted just need to get the balance right.
Berty1978 - good to see La Vitreenne on the up, sounds like you are the opposite to LLR, the defense is solid you just need to find the goals.
Iacovone - nice first season write up. If I ever leave Portugal I think I'll manage in Italy next. Giorgio Natale has been awesome for you, great wheeling and dealing to get him !
Ohanzee - I remember FC Mulhouse ! Great to see that name back in the challenge. Good Luck !
Romanista1994 - Don't worry too much about your finances, if I remember rightly once you go up in spain the money grows on trees.
Drake44444 & Charlesbeams - Brilliant Promotions !
Dardanelspor A.S - Season 2014/15.
League - Graph
An interesting season to say the least, started off amazingly being 10/1 to win opening game and doing just that, infact 3 games in against top 6 (predicted) sides and we pick up 7 points. But all good things must come to an end and around Christmas time we went on a slump, losing 4 in a row then scraping a draw against the bottom club before losing yet again and in this time add another loss where we went out the cup. A disastrous Team Meeting after the cup loss seemed to create this problem and then an hadfull of players wanted out - Mostly fringe players so not a real worry but the season looked dead. We managed to somehow pick up after a tactics change where i went back to an Attacking 3 up front and we won 3-0 twice in a row again against top teams but the mini resurgence didn't last long and an average finish saw us make 8th. So only 4 points off the playoffs but it might as well of been a mile.
Thoughts - We can find many positives from this year mostly that we know we can beat even the best sides on our day but we need to find a little more consistency, i dont think we really need too much in the shape of additions to the squad maybe just a few more Frees to test will be enough.
Aims for next Season - Ahain we must keep on aiming for the Playoffs, we keep getting offered some great Foreigners but with Bakalyan + Petrosyan we have two of our roles sewn in and irriplaceable!!!
Transfers - Finances
All Frees this year and next looks to be the same, managed to sell a couple of non first teamers though and we will release quite a few this summer as well.
A Typical Lineup;
GK, Arsen Petrosyan
RB, Muhammed Yetgin
CB, Samet Fettahoglu
CB, Ercument Ozsulen
LB, Cagri Kadalak
DM, Baris Aydin
CM, Ugur Parlak
CM, Seluk Sahin
AM, Osman Ozparilti
CF, Vardan Bakalyan
CF, Murat Yilmaz

brettney1980 - Some great players you have there, I'm sure you can make at least the playoffs next year. Shame about the coefficients, you'll have to do something about that when you're the big team in Turkey.

Cheers for the good wishes guys. A short pre-season report:
- I'm only a month in since my appointment and no matches have been played yet, with only heavy pre-season training going on. We have 1 more month for 6-7 back to back matches to boost up match fitness.
- I really need to thin my squad down but no offers are coming around and with a few transfers to strengthen the promoted squad I guess we'll have around 50 registered players
- Not sure if I can push for promotion straight away as the squads in the league seem pretty equal in terms of ability. Morale and team work will solve the issue I believe.
- Trying hard to stay under wage budget so that finances won't haunt us in the future. Not sure if they'll but hey, precaution is always good
Drake44444, congrats on the promotion. Control the finances, build around the team you should have no problems.
duccio, congrats to you as well. Seems like I'll have to pick up my playing pace to catch up to you guys getting promoted
blackdevil, Bah! Another promotion. Congrats Bad luck to lose the lead though.
dj clark boy, Finally a no promotion update! Good luck in Italy mate.
brettney1980, getting closer to playoffs every year. Next season shall see you in top flight!
Also, thanks to Romanista1994 for the Clairefontaine Acadamy. I shall keep that in mind for the future years.

Barakaldo 2012 End of Season Report (2013)
Media Prediction: 6th
Captain: Unai Alba
Vice Captain: Jon Ander Garrido
Season Ticket Holders: 3040
Transfer Budget: £0 after adjusting
Wage Budget: £18k
Wage Total: £15k
Juan Dominguez - New star striker, taking the place of Carlos Alvarez who didn't want to lower his wage demands and was let go on a free.
Iosu Esnaola - Our new rock at centreback.
Alfonso Valin - Will partner Esnaola at in the centre of defence, despite being a defensive midfielder by trade.
Jon Errasti - The new defensive midfielder, who will focus primarily on his defensive duties due to his lack of attacking skills.
Nestor Salinas - A talented attacking midfielder with a bright future ahead of him. Will be backup for now.
Julen Zelaia - The replacement for ageing Alba, can potentially become as good as him.
Jon Manuel (same guy as last year) and Joseba Zaldua are loaned in to fill the starting leftback and rightback spots.
The easy friendlies against teams I handpicked went very well. We scored 53 without conceding. Metzger was particularly impressive with 13 goals and 15 assists in eight matches.
Current First Choice Lineup
First fixture is at home against Sabadell and we've been drawn against Tudelano in the Spanish Cup 1st round. Also, I believe my whole first eleven is now Basque, if not the whole first team.
Ups and downs all season, fighting for that 3rd place and promotion all the time, but in the end we just lost out. 2 points more would have done it, but no cigar, starting to see a pattern here. I mainly blame our defense. In no less than 7 games this season we conceded between 3 and 6 goals. Horrible. Our biggest win was 7-1, our biggest loss 1-6. Very inconsistent.
The Cups (french cup)
We only played in the French Cup and for the 6th to 9th round we did well, although only playing CFA or lower opposition. Nancy, who won Ligue 2 and are back in the top division next season, beat us in the 10th round.
The Squad (ratings)
Being allowed to sign free transfers until February, I kept signing new players as my scouts came with new reports. We had a huge squad, but not a lot of real quality. Most of them were given 1 year contracts so I can let anyone who didn't quite make it leave this summer.
Some picks :
Abdel Moukhlil - The clubs top scorer in the CFA promotion season and our 2nd best this season. He provided the most assists though and played less games than #1.
Geoffrey Malfleury - Our top goal scorer.
Tchanile Tidjani - According to our assistant he's our biggest talent. Mostly a sub this season, but I'll give him more starts in the coming one.
(If you want screens of anyone else just poke.)
Finances are no good. We lost £1M and that was being below the wage budget. Horrible average attendance of 587.
The goal is to keep the best players from this season and try to add a few new ones and get 2 points more next season.

Unlucky Ohanzee .. Haven't you got your Season dates wrong!?
brettney1980 - Nice steady progress. Playoffs next season sounds like a solid aim. Good luck! (And thanks for noticing. Just copied the code from the old thread and forgot to change the years :o - fixed.)
Romanista1994 - Good luck in the coming season!
My star CF Bakalyan refused a new contract (into his last year) and with teams watching him i think i'll have to let him go, i refuse to allow him to leave for free. Oh and one of my scouts has found me the 'New Jurgen Klinsmann' would be silly too not sign him good job he holds Turkish Citizenship.
Just had a nice experience with my board. One of my main issues last season was only being allowed 2 coaches and not having anyone good at fitness coaching. My players was complaining about the lack of a fitness coach all the time. So just for fun I thought I'd ask them to increase our number of allowed coaches. And much to my surprise they agreed with me. Am now allowed 4 instead of 2. First time I tried asking for anything staff related. Usually they turn me down no matter what I ask about at this level.
Hello guys Nice to see all the old faces (not literally ) and a few new faces, been going through the thread for a couple of days.
Ich bin zur Zeit Urlaub in Deutschland!
Translated that with my own (basic) German skills El Sid. Welcome back!
Well done sav I only know the meaning of one word from that, and unsurprisingly, that is Deutschland
Urlaub was the giveaway.
Keçiorengücü January 2014 Update2nd Division
We've just entered the winter break and all is going well. After a shaky start (a 5-3 defeat on the opening day and two draws in the next three games), we found our winning ways and shot up the table to the point where we are now two points clear the top, ahead of fellow Ankara side Hacettepe. Goals are what have got us here as we have bagged 60 goals in 17 matches to date, by far the top scoring side in the division - in fact we have scored at least two goals in EVERY GAME! One small worry is that the great attack plays ahead of a leaky defence - only 4 clean sheets so far and plenty of scorelines like 3-2, 4-2, 3-3 and even a 4-4! Still, I think we can keep this form going - as of yet, no signs of the slump that halted our title challenge last season.
We got a bit lucky in the first two rounds with home ties against lower league opposition. That gave me a chance to give some youngsters a run out and rest some first teamers. The third round paired us with Bucaspor, also in the 2nd Division but in Group A. For the only time this season, we couldn't score and wouold agonisingly lose to a late goal... That was a shame as a win would have earned us a money-spinning home game with Beşiktaş.
Three of the new signings I picked out in my pre-season report have been stars so far:
Sinan Meriç (DM) - he's been the lynch-pin of our midfield, relegating the highly-experienced Sariyar to the bench.
Uğur Yanıkdemir (AMR) - sensational on the right wing with 12 goals and 10 assists.
Yaser Hacimustafaoğlu (ST) - this guy's scoring record at his previous clubs left a lot to be desired but he's really found form with us (Player of the Month 3 out of 4 times already). 16 goals in 17 starts makes him exactly the kind of goalscorer we were lacking last season.
One player I inherited wehn taking over the club has also started to finally fufill his potential:Alican Karadağ (MC) - A run in the side has done wonders for this guy with my coaches now rating him as the best midfielder at the club (they had previously said he was 3rd best). Only problem is he's now got himself an agent who is demanding a very high salary for a new deal. I hope we can reach an agreement before another club snaps him up on a pre-contract...
END OF SEASON UPDATE 2014-2015
WE ARE GOING UP TO THE BIG BOYS NOW
what a season did not fink i could have puled it of in my first season in the first divison but i was provein wrong
my top goal score was steven lennon with 27 apps and 15 goals but over he had 32 apps and 18 goals
AIMS FOR NEXT SEASON
try to stay up
try and have a cup run
just seen that iam getting a staduime upgrade but i dont own the park
Romanista1994, good luck for the season ahead. Glad you've managed to create a full Basque team already.
Ohanzee, unlucky to miss out on promotion this close.
Welcome back el sid!
DodgeeD, keep that Yaser guy on fire and you should win the league for sure!
tommy1872, excellent news mate! Let's hope you manage a good fight in top flight.
A quick one liner: Just loaned an all arounder defender to cover and use as a sub. 2 days in, he managed to get a hip injury, specialist 3-6 months! Sent him back to his club so that he can gain his health back. Off to player search and scout reports for a defence back up now
Good going Tommy congrats on the promotion.
Good first half to the season DodgeeD and good luck with the second, only Hacettepe to worry about by the look of the table.
I know the feeling with the loanees getting injured, exactly the same happened to Jon Manuel (I've brought him back this season) when he got injured for five months in his first match and I had to send him back to Real Sociedad "B".
DodgeeD - Nice going there.
tommy1872 - Well done, now you only have to break the Old Firm dominance. Glad to see Steven Lennon doing so well, I had him in Wales once.
Und viel Glück in Deutschland el sid.

Got him tied down for another year \o/
Hello there, time to get this started then
TuS Koblenz have appointed me, Peter Panic, as their new manager for the 2012 season. I've been given a 2 year contract worth £2200 per week. The club is valued at £1.2 million and predicted to finish dead last. Here's hoping that doesn't come true The club doesn't have an assistant manager, so thats something I need to sort out ASAP. I've set the season expectations as avoid relegation, and I've been given a transfer budget of £55k and a wage budget of £29k. We are presently spending £21.6k on our wages.TuS Koblenz is a German association football club, located in Koblenz, Rhineland-Palatinate. Fussball Club Deutschland Neuendorf, which was formed in 1911, is viewed as the foundation of the modern club.
In 1982, the club adopted the name TuS Koblenz, but the club lingered in the Verbandsliga Rheinland (V). The fortunes of the club improved with their ascent to the fourth division Oberliga Südwest (IV) in 1994 where they remained for a decade. An Oberliga Südwest championship in 2004 was followed by a quick ascent through the Regionalliga Süd (III) where a second place finish in 2005–06 earned the club a spot in the 2. Bundesliga. Their 2006–07 campaign ended with TuS finishing ahead of expectations in 12th place, meriting an unexpected stay on the second level.
Any hopes of further improvement ended in in the late stages of the 2007–08 season when TuS was penalized by the deduction of eight points for not providing contracts for Marko Lomic and Branimir Bajic, turning a potential upper table finish into a lesser result. This was later reduced to six points for the actual season and three points for the following season 2008–09.
Also, there's one detail I haven't mentioned. On the books of the club is former Chelsea, Sao Paulo and Schalke player, Mineiro. He may be 36, but he's good enough for this league I reckon. Only problem is his contract, which runs out in 3 days.
Onwards and Upwards

F.C. Pampilhosa 2013/14 End of Season Update
Part-time Pampilhosa building team for the future
Andre Serrao - Still more experience needed in midfield and has a few good years still in him
Fredy - Seasoned pro, brought in more as cover than anything. Is very similar to my current left back
Joao Fonseca - DM in the middle of his career, expected to be playing from the subs bench
Mario Rui - Young kid for the future, the quick right back will hopefully soon be pushing for a starting place
Rui Rodrigues - Young CB who is probably good enough to get in my squad straight away
Season Report by Paulo Pestana of the Pamilhosa FC magazine
It's been another solid if unexciting season for the 300 or so season ticket holders at F.C. Pampilhosa. The team from central Portugal who always seem to get the winter blues continued the pattern from last season of a great start followed by a poor January which ultimately costs them dear when it comes to chasing down title contenders at the end of the season. Rumour has it in the media that the manager has a habit of completely misjudging the mood at New Years team meetings and that the predictable dip in form regularly follows.
In spite of the morale issues and worries that operating costs drive the club further and further into debt, the outlook is positive says chairman Manuel Ramos, who took over the club in January 2013.
"We have a great deal of confidence of Ricardo and are sure he's the man to lead this club to glory. The board and I are very happy with the steady progress we're making. This season I asked the local council for planning permission to expand the stadium. It was declined due to a technicality but my commitment to those kind of projects should demonstrate how ambitious our long term plans are and Ricardo is going to play a key part."
When asked about the club finances Ramos claimed to be unconcerned.
"Yes we owe the bank manager a little, it's no more than our preseason budget allowed for though. In fact the board recently agreed we have 90% confidence in Ricardo thanks to his control of the wage bill. For that reason and to push on in the league we're actually going to increase the available budget next season by around 10-15%"
The future does look bright for Pampilhosa. Arguably their most influential players this season have been youngsters signed by Chimenez who under the clubs guidance have developed into key first choice players. None more so than first choice goalkeeper, Thiago Martins. As the first signing Chimenez ever made there was a huge amount of pressure on both player and manager for Martins to be a success.
"I'm lucky that the boss had faith in me right from that first day" said Thiago, reminiscing "in our first meeting he said to me 'I want this club to be number 1 in the country and number 1 in europe and I want you to be my number 1 on the journey.' that gave me the confidence to believe in myself and desire to do all the hard work in training and at the gym that's made me a better player."
That training work has certainly paid off, in just 2 years Martins has increased his average overall player stats by a respectable 4.5%. The gym work alone has produced an amazing increase in the players strength of 43%. Assistant Manager Rogerio couldn't be happier
"Thiago's the most focussed young goalkeeper I've ever worked with. In the 2 years he's been here his positioning is up 14%, concentration up 8% and both aerial ability and throwing up 10%, it really is incredible when you think about it."
It's all very well listing a players increasing stats you might say, but does it mean he's going to make the difference when it counts ? Wiser men than me say it's too early to tell. I say this time next year Thiago Martins will be preparing to play in a higher division, and the rest of the Pampilhosa squad should be there playing right in front of him.
Aims for next season :
same as last year, challenge for promotion

Great update Tano!
Welcome to all those starting the challenge, its certainly a challenge but it is rewarding
Good luck with RB Leipzig neushoorn70!
Nice update TanO, love those percentages.
So as the transfer window shuts it's time to wrap up a hectic pre-season full of comings and goings at the Carl-Benz Stadion as i look to build a squad capable of a minimal of survival. time to introduce the new 'Buben Boys'
SV Waldhof Mannheim - German Third Division - Season 2012/13
30. Niclas Heimann - Young German goalkeeper with promise, Niclas will start the season as my No. 1. it's up to him to keep the jersey
31. Marco Aulbach - Marco is a promising keeper who will provide back up to Heimann.
Nico Postic - young German signed for his nationality as much as anything although he does have promise. will be a back up player
Rick Poot - Promising Belgian LB who will also be a back up player at the start of the season.
6. Wouter Gudde - Dutch defender signed for free from Excelsior. Excited the fans when he signed, he has been given the captain's armband for this season. good player.
15. Ulrich Taffertshofer - YOung German defender who will provide back up.
16. Mitja Schafer - good defender who can play either CB or LB. will push for a starting berth
Lasse Lindbjerg - Lasse is a young Dane who did well on trial and earned a contract as a result.
8. Michael Mutzel - Michael was my only cash signing at £20k. will bring experience and quality to the centre of the park.
17. Henning Grieneisen - German winger who did well on trial.
20. Sven Mende - Decent German prospect who adds German youth to the squad. will challenge for a starting spot.
24. Bjorn Schneider - Bjorn is a young German RM who did ok when tested in pre-season.
28. Kevin Kerr - Scot who has been plying his trade in Germany. another to challenge for a shirt.
33. Stefan Sonderegger - Stefan is a young Austrian winger who has plenty of promise. will push for a starting spot.
Christian Sorensen - Another Dane and a deadline day signing. good little left winger
Jang Min-Sun - Belgian / South Korean midfielder signed with the future in mind. will challenge for a shirt though.
9. Gaetano Manno - Experienced German striker who adds quality to the front line. have hopes he could be our spearhead in attack.
11. Steven Zellner - Steven is on a seasons loan from Leverkusen and is a good prospect
25. Andreas Tiffner - highly rated Austrian striker who i signed after having him at Marbella.
Gurami Enukidze - Georgian striker signed on deadline day after i discovered him late on in the window. previously at Marseille i like the look of him and hope he can make a contribution.
As you can see plenty of incomings as i strive to increase the quality of the squad. hopefully it will be good enough and we can make a decent challenge in the league.
DodgeeD - Looking good! Amazing goal scoring. Good luck in the 2nd half.
el sid - Good luck in Germany! Nice emblem, sharp colors.
neushoorn70 - Good luck in Germany!
TanO - Solid season. Great read that season update! Hope you can push for promotion next season.
rlipscombe - Looks like some good signings, I like your captain a lot. Good luck!
The league at the halfway point
Pretty pleased overall, lost a couple of games i really felt like i should have won, but never mind. No wins against the Galatasaray, Fenerbahce or Besiktas yet though.
My two best strikers aren't playing well together, which sucks.
Also Finances just before promotion and finances up to now
Last edited by Charlesbeams; 02-11-2011 at 21:32.
cheers Ohanzee. i think he is a star for this division and couple help keep the defence tight
Good Luck el sid and neushoorn.
Nice update TanO very good read, good luck next season.
Good luck Rlipscombe alot of transfers there ...
Not getting dragged into a relegation battle Charlesbeams nice going.
.. And me!? 6 games in undefeated ok so 3 draws but still.
I'm a bit lost atm, my defense is so bad I've no idea what to do. I think we have good enough players to keep clean sheets, but so far we've conceded 14 in 8 matches. My right-back, Ricardo van Rhijn, who I think look quite good for this level, have been playing below 6.0 in 5 of 6 starts so far. I don't get it. Been using this exact tactic for ages and never seen us be this bad in defense ever. Not sure what to do, guess I'll just stick with it. Mid table atm thanks to scoring 14 aswell, but no way we can fight for promotion if we keep defending like this.
rlipscombe - your captain looks great and so does Mutzel. Rick Poot however, looks horrendous. He needs a face transplant
Ohanzee - keep going mate. sure you'll manage to turn it around. we can't all fly from the start.
brettney1980 - it is a lot of signings but needed unfortunately. initial squad just wasn't good enough.
Mid-Season Update - Novese - 2013/14 (Season 2) - Serie C2B
I'll let the pictures do the talking and keep it brief. We're playing out of our skins and should gain promotion this year. See below:
And the star men so far:
Giorgio Natale - not playing well really but just look at him. The improvements he has made are just incredible. Need to find a way to getting him dominating games though.
Antonio Montella - top goalscorer and all round excellent poacher.
Sodinha - one of the new signings and a real revelation behind the two strikers. Scores and gets assists.
Danilo Fazio - One half of a very solid defence. Another new man that has come in and been rock solid.
Riccardo Tantardini - the other half and still making leaps and bounds as a footballer. They make a very strong spine.
Good looking season so far iacovone hopefully you'll keep your form up for the second half of the season.
Well, decided to go with Cosenza Calcio because their old logo is obnoxious and I find it funny (and because the teams I wanted in Germany just wouldn't load ), while their new one just looks cool to me. Will just post the bare minimum for now because I don't feel like typing much else!
Hoping to stick with it this year!!!!!
Good luck ArranoBeltza
Good luck in Italy ArranoBeltza.
Very promising start to life in the top division Charlesbeams, those finances sure look good.
iacovone, Natale looks awesome, keep him and your current form and you'll get promoted.
rlipscombe great signings, but did you really give the captain's armband to a guy with 1 for Determination?!?!
will post end of season update later on to let u know we are siitting rock bottom but raith rovers are a head of me just with 1 point
Well having broken the previous record for goals in a season of 91 with 8 games remaining, my aim was to crack 100 league goals in a season, which is something I have never done...Well 5 games to go and we have 100 goals, we have both top strikers with over 20 goals, even though they have missed heaps of games, and now Vignali is a week from his return, we may just have a fully fit team for the playoffs. Also got my new youth intake, update to come later...
Good Luck to everyone else, I will have a proper read of the thread and catch myself up tomorrow
League/Graph (Finished 11th)
Was pleased with the season for the most part, but i felt i could have done better. We conceded a lot of late goals when drawing 1-1, losing us valuable points. 11th is good as i was really expecting to be in the bottom 5 or so.
Turkish Cup: (Lost in 4th Round)
Another bad cup run, my fault once again too as i didn't put out my best team. Lost on penalties.
Brought in quite a few foreign players, too many actually as i'm only allowed 8 per squad, so one or two got left out at times. Manuel Heiden was probably the best of the new players. Jean Deza in my opinion was the worst. Luckily not much money was spent.
Overall a good season, surviving relegation and getting my finances up thanks to money from winning games and from TV. Next season i'd be happy to be in a similar position if i'm honest, but i'm hoping for a better cup run.
Apparently i am now the 6th richest club in Turkey :S

iacovone - I might be tempted to stick Natale on a midfielder training schedule for a few months. If you can improve his passing he'd be a great Totti-esque figure.
Good first season in the top Tier Charlesbeams, never looked like getting into a relegation battle. A few signings and an aim for Europe!? Or too soon?
After slacking off for a week I’ve jumped back into my Clyde game and got the third season underway. Brought in many new players for our first season back in the First Division. As per usual we played like complete muppets in the pre-season friendlies, regardless of who the opponent was. Our attempt to defend the Challenge Cup ended in the First Round, though I did finally get beyond the First Round in the League Cup.
In the league we started by getting thumped 4-0 by Queen Of The South and conceded 10 goals in the first three games. Things have looked up since then and a couple of wins has seen us move up into mid table. Still a long way to go though.
iacovone it might be worthwile setting Natale's training focus to technique and get him to learn the 'shoots with power' PPM since his finishing is good so he'll hit the target most of the time and especially at that level the goalkeepers won't be able to hold a well-struck (hence the technique training), powerful shot.
We're promoted with 4 games to go. Now - with 1 point ahead of Aversa Normanna can we secure the title? This is very important to me
Just noticed a 15 year old regen with 5* potential sitting in my U-19 team. His positions are WBR natural/DC accomplished/DR competent and is currently doing DC training, as I reckon he could be a better DC. Promoted him straight to the Senior Squad . Here's hoping he makes it someday
It's a tough one, i'll probably try him out in AMR and ST in different friendlies, but i did buy him as a Striker initially. All my coaches seem to say he is best as a Right Winger though.
Looks like a very good player there Charlesbeams. I can see him as a second striker, but he'd do a job anywhere up top I'd have thought.
Just got absolutely hammered by Sporting. 7-0 - embarrassing!
Quick question - Does anyone know how long it takes for an option to become available again after asking the board. I asked them at the beginning of the season to expand my scouting network, I want to try again in the hope of being able to scout Jorge Rodriguez (the guy I mentioned above).
Defo worth a shot, shame about his heading what height is he?
Assuming that was meant for me, he is 177cm brettney
Signed the next ex-Chelsea player, in comes goalkeeper Niclas Heimann on a free transfer
FFS starting left winger out for 5 months after being injured in a pre season match
Well I'd like a couple of 8' CBs but beggars can't be choosers
Well I'd like a couple of 8' CBs but beggars can't be choosers
So true you said it twice ...
I'm off to work now and with 2 games to go we have an awesome shot at Automatic promotion, 1 win will do it with 2nd and 3rd playing each other. I will for sure be on tonight now.
Signed Albert Streit and fans are concerned I've signed a disruptive player
January has come round and it's that time again - I could sign Jorge Rodriguez in a pre-contract, but I still can't scout him. Excruciating.
Edit - He's signed a new contract. So at least he won't be joining anyone else on a free. One day he will play for Lusitania Acores - hopefully!

Back with FC Chita(with multi saves ) so just updated my first posted.
The Beginning July 2012
The club was founded in 2006 as a result of reorganization of FC Lokomotiv Chita which was excluded from the First Division. FC Chita was immediately admitted to the Second Division.
The club plays it games at Lokomotiv Stadium, Chita (Capacity: 12,500)
Predicted - 17th
Board Epectation - Avoid Relegation
My Expectation - Avoid Relegation
Transfer Budget - £33,633
Wage Budget - £20,625 per week
Current Wages - £19,869 per week
| Manager Info | Club Overview | Club Info | My Stadium | Squad
Having looked at the squad and moved the no-hopers we are a bit short of players and going to have to get some in. Not much room to move with wages so going to have to wheel & deal a fair bit. Got some good young players but will they be good enough to keep us up is another question.
tommy1872 - Congrats on promotion and best of luck battling it out with the Old Firm.
rlipscombe - Looks like a decent summer of transfer business. Hope they all gel together quickly.
TanO - like the update style. A good season of consolidation - I'm sure you'll be moving up the table next year!
Charlesbeams - Very solid first season in the top flight (see what I meant about the bottom half being very similar in quality to the 1st Division?) Good luck with getting into the play-off positions next time (and getting your head around how they work!)
My team's attacking prowess continues to produce crazy, crazy results! Broke multiple records (most goals in a league game, highest scoring league game) at both club and Division level with this win over Diyarbakırspor - got to worry about that defence a little bit though!
Charlesbeams - Good job staying at the top. Nice finances! Now to start pushing towards the top. Good luck!
iacovone - That mid-season table looks amazing. Good luck in the 2nd half. Natale looks a great prospect. Montella and (Di) Natale has the right cling to it for an amazing attacking duo. Don't think they ever played together? But I'm sure it would be amazing if they had. Oh you're already promoted, can't blink in here. Congrats!
ArranoBeltza - Good luck in Italy!
LLR - 100+ goals, well done! Barca and Real better watch out.
RyMaX - Good luck in the First Division!
el sid - Wochnik looks really promising if your assistant is right. 6+ in all the right places and with that determination he might fulfill his potential.
Welsh Wizard - Good luck in Russia!
Have just been offered an international job.
What to say, I think the table speaks for itself. Pretty close again, but just not consistent enough. I think maybe my expectations are to high though. Looking at some team stats from this season it's quite clear that we're not exactly the top club in the division. :o
Average Attendance | Salary Per Annum
The Cups (french cup)
10th round again. Bit annoyed that we didn't make it one step further as we drew Chamois Niortais from our own division, but lost on penalties in the end.
The Squad (ratings)
I think Malfleury is the only one worth a mention this season as he once again was our top goal scorer. If 4-5 other players were as consistent as him we'd storm the league.
Lost money again this season, although £400k less than last season. Board provided a £400k cash injection at one point which helped a bit. I also kept our wages really tight this season. Much good that did, except making the board love me. Think we need a promotion to improve really.
I can't really get the hang of this division so far. To many tight matches won or lost on individual error. Most teams seem to be better in attack than defense to. Maybe I have to start playing with super offensive wingers like every other team. That said, we're not far off and with a bit of luck I hope we can be in the top 3 next season.

A good season of consolidaiton there Ohanzee. Hopefully, you can find a few new additions over the summer to add that extra consistency for next season.
Getting destroyed so far this season just have to hope i can avoid relegation overall. Strikers just aren't scoring at all, think i might have to take up that loan offer for Danny Graham in the next transfer window or at least one of these amazing Brazilian regens.
I shouldn't be getting this annoyed at a game.

Wow, i have been away from the forum for a couple of days and everything has kicked off with everyone managing to get themselves promoted. Well done to one and all for their respective achievements.
Torpedo Armavir - Winter Break 2013/14
After the first half of my second season I have got a similar amount of points than last season, 25 points from 22 games compared to 28 from 23 at last seasons winter break. However, this time around the team have been much more consistent and we haven't been on a real long run of bad form at any stage. The major problem with this season is that during the post season break, I let numerous players out and only a few came back in but due to our wage budget still being over what is allowed I am limited to the players I have now. Also due to the constraints I only have one goalkeeper (Philipp Serkov) because he was signed before his contract ran out and at a time when I could still offer more than £75 p/w so my back-up GK's are 16 year olds who will never make it. This was after both GK's left after last season, my starting keeper retired from pro football but would still play semi-pro (which I can not offer) and the other keeper hadn't had a game all season so left on a free as he didn't want to stay.
Also this season seems to have been good so far for my strikers, I signed another Brazilian (Jabá) to add to the front line from Baku in Azerbaijan and he has previously played for Ankaraspor and Ankaragucu in Turkey, 6 goals and 3 assists in 13 games is exactly the sort of stats i wanted for a secondary striker. My main striker and yet again star of the show is Welkinho who has 10 goals and 9 assists in 21 league games and that is despite him going on a 9 game goaless streak. Also with a couple of games under his belt the young Bulgarian Rumen Kostov has shown himself to be a good back-up with 3 goals and 1 assist in 5 starts.
The other two players of note are Igor Lutovinov and Evgeny Sevastjanov who are my starting DC's at the tender age of 19 but both are excelling this season so far.
Hopefully I will be able to push on again after the winter break and beat the 43 points that I managed last season.
iacovone - Natale is a cracking player. what sort of training regime have you had him on to get him develop that much??
Romanista1994 - hadn't noticed his determination!! i always base my captains predominantly on influence and teamwork as much as anything else to be honest.
D'oh, wrong thread

End of Season Report - Novese - 2013/14 (Season 2) - Serie C2B
Serie C2B - 2nd
Now two things. Firstly - I'm obviously pleased to be promoted and head up to Serie C1. But secondly I'm absolutely furious that we didn't win the league. Genuinely, I'm really quite angry. Especially when you look at our progress over the year.
Allow me to break down the league campaign:
As is always the case, the first month or so tends to give you an impression of how you'll fare over the season. So after an encouraging 5 wins from our first 6 games, I knew we were in for a strong season. Aside from that one loss to Gavorrano we proceeded to embark on a run of 16 games undefeated - setting a Novese record in the process. At this point our stock was high with the only downside being a run of games that saw my first choice RB, LB and CB all injured for lengthy periods.
Despite those injuries, our defence record remained stellar and we set the pace at the top of the table.
March provided more testing waters though and we embarrassed ourselves away at Titrium, losing 3-0 without ever looking like doing anything. This was a wake up call to which we responded reasonably well, winning the next 2 games.
However after that we only won 1 game in the next 5 to really put the pressure on ourselves. Our only rival to top spot was Aversa Normanna and the home game against them was one of those 5 games. We drew 1-1 despite leading at half time. With 4 games to go we led the league by 1 point.
Our two home games were played out professionally, Fano and Forlis Trani getting 2-0 and 3-0 beatings inflicted upon them. Aprilia away was sandwiched between these two games and ended with us returning home without any points. A 1-0 loss did the damage.
To the final game of the season, away at Siracusa (who were fighting for a playoff spot themselves), we needed a draw to win the league. Two things annoyed me here. I forgot to reinstate my number 1 keeper after he had to miss the previous game through injury. But more infuriating was the performance of Regno our on loan defender. He had to fill in at CB for Tantardini (not unfamiliar to him) but set off on his worst performance for us all season. And all in the first half.
Regno lost the ball and chopped his man down in the area for a penalty and a red card. Not the best start but recoverable. Or so I thought. Regna had other ideas and whilst challenging at an attacking corner, committed another foul and saw red. We were 1-0 down away from home with ten men.
We did pull a goal back to go in at half time level but a series of errors in the second half - notably an own goal from Montella meant we faced an uphill struggle. Though Addona pulled it back to 3-2 we went on to lose 4-2 as we chased the game. Aversa Normanna meanwhile had decided to leave us in suspense, sitting on a 1-1 home draw until the 85th minute. They won their game and pipped us to the title with one of the last kicks of the season. It turned out to be a real kick in the teeth and leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.
The Serie C Cup
I paid much less interest to this competition this year and although we qualified from the initial group stage, we were dumped out in the first knockout round by Milazzo convincingly.
Rocco Pellegrino (GK) - Solid between the sticks all season. He should continue as number 1 in Serie C1
Andrea Cammorota (MRC) - Had a surprisingly good season as a playmaker in midfield. I certainly didn't expect him to hold down the position all year but he certainly did. Has been rewarded with a new contract.
Girolamo D'Alessandro (M/AMLC) - Debut season for us and added considerable experience. Had a tendency for grabbing a goal which is always welcome. Pity we couldn't agree a new deal, he will be leaving on a free in the summer.
Sodinha (AMRC/ST) - Brazilian playmaker did superbly in behind Natale and Montella. He was a source of long range beauties and the odd assist. I wonder if he can do it in a harder league though.
Antonio Montella (ST) - Another good season for our leading striker. He was exhausted by the end of the season as he barely missed a game all year. Voted fans player of the year and was our top goalscorer.
Giorgio Natale (AMC/ST) - A strange season. He's come on leaps and bounds and I get a message from my assistant almost weekly commending his dramatic improvements. I've still yet to find a way to get the best out of him though. I'm considering moving to a formation with wingers to take advantage of his height. Such a fine prospect.
Carlo Cesena (MC/AMC) - must pick out this rising talent as well. He's just turned 17 and looks set to follow in Natale's footsteps. I do hope so but I am worried about how much playing time I can give him next year.
Oh dear. It's got worse. See the finances screenshot above.
- Improve perilous financial position (-£300k)
Success. In a big way. 2nd place and promotion.
- Secure top half finish
Success. Older players left, and I've managed to blood through a number of youngsters this year.
- Continue to reduce the average age of the squad
- Stay up
- Keep Natale for a whole season
- TRY to amend the finances
Good luck Welsh Wizard and hope you have fun at Chita (played as them last year).
Unlucky Ohanzee lets hope you can get some consistency next year.
Well your surviving Flashman ...
Congrats on the promotion iacovone.
Not only did we get automatic promotion but we won the league a win and a loss was enough ... Turkish Premier here we come!
Dardanelspor A.S - Season 2015/16
We stayed up in the top 6 all season and a brand new formation of 4-1-1-2-2 (Inside Forwards coming infield, DM Deep Playmaker at Home and CM Deep Playmaker Away and not only did the formation work this one formation helped us to an haul of 75 Goals even without the Superstar that was Bakalyan (who we sold to Trabzonspor for £750k). First Division Stats.
Confidence - Finances.
Not alot to say we played one cup game losing 3-1 to a team in the Second division by playing all youngsters maybe next year i'll show it more respect ...
We brought in a few more Germans with Turkish citizenship as well as an handfull of Loans to fill the squad out.
