2012 U23 Olympic Football Team. Someone explain?

In my Man Utd save I've just gone past the U23 Olympic football tournament and noticed that Brazil and Spain played each other in the 3rd place playoff. I took a look at the teams which they fielded and noticed Iker Casillas and Gerard Pique in the line-up. Someone explain this considering they are 31 and 25 respectively?

If i remember it correctly, you are allowed to have 1 or 2 players in the squad that are older than 23 years.
