I know there is more too it than the back four marking settings but i've always wondered this question people who are having success; what marking settings do you have your back four on? zonal and tight, man and not tight, man and tight? fbs and cb's? Koki Posted March 12, 2011 Share Posted March 12, 2011 I have conceded 4 goals in the 14 first league matches. All players are on zonal marking except for one DC who is man-marking with cover duty. The other DC is a stopper. Although I'd rate my defense as a upper-midtable setup, they're doing pretty well as you can see. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
slipknot67 Posted March 12, 2011 Share Posted March 12, 2011 Default marking for my whole back for has won me the SPL last season and the league cup and Scottish cup double the previous season. Been manager of Celtic for 3 years in total and won nothing in the first season due to my low rep and too many new players. Given enough time for the players to get used to the system I think any type of marking can be successful though, it's just a matter of getting the right players for the way you want to play.
